Beck Single Will Lead Off Soundtrack

September 22 [14:00 EDT] -- The first single from the soundtrack to "A Life Less Ordinary" will be a new Dust Brothers-produced song by Beck called "Dead Weight."

The film, due October 24, is the latest effort from "Trainspotting" director Danny Boyle. The L.A. Times reports that Boyle is also set to direct the video for the song, which he hopes will feature Ewan McGregor and Cameron Diaz, the movie's co-stars. McGregor is shooting another movie and has to do some juggling to free up the time.

Other artists on the soundtrack include Ash, Underworld, Luscious Jackson, The Sneaker Pimps, Alabama 3, Folk Implosion and R.E.M. with a new version of "Leave," with a new vocal by Michael Stipe, and a remix by Massive Attack's Johnny Dollar.
