Beck To Open Shows For Neil Young

After wrapping up his European “Midnite Vultures” tour with appearances at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the U.K., Beck plans to return, briefly, to the road next month to open several dates in the Northeast for Neil Young.

Beck will musically strip down to acoustic sets for the opening gig, which starts on September 25 in San Diego and continues through an October 1 concert in Vancouver, British Columbia.

The joint Young-Beck dates come shortly on the heels of the announcement that Beck had become the first guest artist confirmed for this year’s Bridge School Benefit shows (see “Beck To Play Bridge School Benefit” ).

Young co-founded the Bridge School in 1986 as an educational program aimed at helping handicapped children to communicate and express themselves via assistive and augmentative technology.
