Ringo Starr's video for "La De Da," the first single from his much-heralded new album "Vertical Man," will feature Hanson in a clever sketch shot in New York's Times Square.
According to the "New York Daily News," the shoot, under the auspices of video director Nancy Brewer, had the 57-year old former Beatle drummer sitting on a bench where he's joined by the teen trio. In short order, the Hanson brothers are spotted and chased by screaming teenage girls. In a complete turnaround from Beatlemania, they leave behind Starr, untouched and unnoticed.
The trio also showed up at Starr's rare club appearance at the Bottom Line in New York Tuesday night.
As we previously reported (see "Alanis, Ozzy, Weiland And More On Ringo Record"), "Vertical Man," which arrives in stores on June 16, features appearances by Scott Weiland, Alanis Morissette, Ozzy Osbourne, Steven Tyler, in addition to former Beatles mates Paul McCartney
and George Harrison.
