SR-71 Shoots Beatles-Inspired Video For "Right Now"
After earning its wings on the Baltimore music scene, newcomers SR-71 have taken off with a hit single, "Right Now," and have completed a video for the song with directorial svengali Marcos Siega.
Siega is the man behind such recent videos as Blink-182's "All The Small Things," 311's "Flowing," and Papa Roach's "Last Resort," as well as Eve 6's forthcoming "Promise" clip (see "Eve 6 Prepares To Shoot 'Promise' Video").
SR-71 is currently out opening for Nine Days, and band frontman Mitch Allen and bassist Jeff Reid recently chatted with MTV News about the "Right Now" clip, which they said was based upon a certain cinematic classic featuring the Fab Four.
we can't wait to see it on MTV," Allan added.
"They're in the process of editing it now," Reid continued.
"It's a fun video," commented Reid.
"But a new and modern twist on it," Reid interjected.
very modern. It's in color, for one," Allan said,
"A good guy," Reid agreed.
"The whole time he was like, 'Don't worry, you're gonna look great. Don't worry, you're gonna look great,'" Allan said. "It was awesome. I was like, 'What am I worried about? I've seen your stuff, I know I'm gonna look great. [Laughs] That's why we hired you.'" [RealAudio]
