Late R&B legend Marvin Gaye would have celebrated his 60th birthday on Friday, and some current R&B acts would like to help mark the occasion by delivering up tracks for a tribute album called, "Marvin Is 60.

The 12-track compilation will feature Erykah Badu and D'Angelo covering "Your Precious Love," Brian McKnight singing "Distant Lover," Montell Jordan reworking "I Want You," and El DeBarge singing "Sexual Healing." Other artists on the cover album include, Chico DeBarge, Raphael Saadiq, Jon B., Gerald Levert, Kenny Lattimore, and others.

Though he passed away 15 years ago after being shot and killed by his own father, the crooner's legacy lives on through his music and in those who cover his songs.

Marvin Is 60" is scheduled to hit store shelves on June 8.
