Erykah Badu Album Pushed Back

If you've been eagerly awaiting Erykah Badu's new album, prepare to wait a little longer.

The release of Badu's third album, "Mama's Gun," was originally scheduled to drop on September 19, but the project has been pushed back and currently has no scheduled release date.

Badu is still working on the project, as the album's first single, "Bag Lady," has already gone out to radio.

While they have to wait a bit for her next effort, fans of Badu can soon find her on Guru's "Jazzmatazz III: Streetsoul," on the track "Plenty," which she also produced. Guru is also expected to land D'Angelo, Macy Gray, Maxwell, Isaac Hayes, The Roots, Angie Stone, Les Nubians, Kelis, Amel Larrieux, Herbie Hancock, and Bilal for the project (see "Macy Gray, D'Angelo, More To Join Guru").

As we previously reported, Badu has been working on her next album, which had toiled under the title "The New Du," in her home studio in Dallas

(see "Erykah Badu Prepares 'The New Du'").
