Erykah Badu To Whip Out "Gun" In November

With the top-selling R&B single in America to her credit, Erykah Badu has lined up a release date for her long-awaited second studio album.

After a couple of false starts, Badu's "Mama's Gun" will hit stores on November 21. As we previously reported, Badu has been working on her next album, which had toiled under the title "The New Du," in her home studio in Dallas (see "Erykah Badu Prepares 'The New Du'"). The LP was expected to arrive on September 19, but the album had been pushed back indefinitely in July (see "Erykah Badu Album Pushed Back").

Badu's "Bag Lady," the first single from "Mama's Gun," was the biggest selling R&B single in the country last week after moving more than 48,000 copies.
