Bad Religion Establish Research Grant

November 21 [7:55 EDT] -- If you're looking for funding for research in the cultural or physical sciences, Bad Religion wants to help.

The group, who will headline next summer's WARPED tour, have established a $3,000 grant for budding scholars. Frontman Greg Graffin, who has a degree in evolutionary biology from UCLA and is currently working towards a PhD. at Cornell, has set up the grant to help high school or college students.

The group will decide the winner, based on the best proposal for field study in the cultual or physical sciences.

Bad Religion is currently working on a new album due out next spring, and Graffin has just released a solo album, called "American Lesion." As we reported previously, Bad Religion guitarist Brian Baker turns up on Ric Ocasek's new solo album, "Troublizing," along with Hole bassist Melissa Auf Der Mar, Nada Surf Drummer Ira Elliott, and Cars Keyboardist Greg Hawkes.
