Todd Rundgren To Produce Next Bad Religion Record

Bad Religion has just completed a round of overseas touring in support of its most recent album, 1998's "No Substance," but the band is already making plans for its next record, which Todd Rundgren has signed on to produce.

After a short string of Canadian concert dates in mid-May, Bad Religion will then travel to Rundgren's Utopia Sound Studios on the Hawaiian island of Kauai to start recording the new album, with the sessions expected to commence in July.

Rundgren, known for his classic single "Bang on the Drum," has produced both his own solo records, as well as albums from such artists as Badfinger, Meatloaf, the Psychedelic Furs and the Pursuit of Happiness.

In addition to its new album, the Southern California punk band has also announced that it is again accepting submissions for the second Bad Religion Research Fund (see "Bad Religion Establish Research Grant"), which is open to college students pursuing studies and

projects in the area of cultural and natural sciences.

Guidelines for the research grant can be found at the band's official website (www.badreligion.com), while proposals should be faxed directly to Bad Religion's manager, Michele Ceazan of C.I.A. Management, at 212.532.3990.
