May 21 [10:00 EST] -- Tori Amos, Pulp's Jarvis Cocker, and former Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell are among the artists who may turn up on the soundtrack to "Great Expectations."
Amos is currently in London working on a still untitled song for the soundtrack to the upcoming big screen version of the Charles Dickens classic. Amos will also contribute vocals to the score, which she will record with a full orchestra next week.
Other soundtrack highlights may include a solo tune from Cornell, who is currently in negotiations concerning his involvement in the project. Cornell, who has plenty of time on his hands now that Soundgarden have called it quits, has gone the solo soundtrack route before, kicking in the song "Seasons" on the "Singles" soundtrack, and turning in an acoustic performance of "Like Suicide" for the "S.F.W." soundtrack.
Cocker is also expected to contribute a song to the soundtrack.
The film, which stars Gwenyth Paltrow, Ethan Hawke, and
Robert DeNiro, will arrive in theaters in December, with the soundtrack arriving this fall.
