Aerosmith's Steven Tyler Throws Out First Pitch For St. Louis Cardinals

With his beloved Boston Red Sox already assured a spot in Major League Baseball's post-seaon, Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler has become the latest celebrity to jump on the Mark McGwire bandwagon, and threw out the first pitch before last night's St. Louis Cardinals-Montreal Expos game.

Aerosmith was in St. Louis to play the Riverbend Amphitheater on Friday as part of its rescheduled fall tour, and Tyler had originally made plans to attend the baseball game in hopes of seeing McGwire hit another home run.

When Cardinal officials found out the frontman would be at the game, they asked him if he would be interested in participating in the game's opening ceremonies -- although it was not known if he had been asked to sing the "Star Spangled Banner."

As we previously reported (see [article id="1424722"]"Aerosmith Gets Crazy With New Live Double-Album"[/article]), Aerosmith will release a new live album, entitled "A Little South of Sanity," on October 20.
