The new Bryan Adams album now has a title and an official release date. Both the album and the single will be called “On A Day Like Today,” with the album out October 20. The song will be delivered to radio September 23.
As previously reported by MTV News, the single is a mid-tempo track co-produced by Adams and Phil Thornalley, a former bassist with The Cure and the producer of Natalie Imbruglia’s hit single,”Torn.” That song and much of the rest of the album was recorded in Jamaica. Adams historically packs up his mobile studio into a dozen suitcases and records in exotic locations. The tune was mixed by Bob Clearmountain at Adams’ own Warehouse Studio in Vancouver, Canada. Bob Rock has also contributed production on the record.
The video is being shot on a studio backlot in Los Angeles on August 15 and 16 by Joseph Kahn, whose previous credits include Brandy & Monica, Backstreet Boys, Aalayah and Montell Jordan.
