The members of Boyz II Men will appear in four UPN comedy shows Sept. 25. The group, which will release its fifth album, Nathan Michael Shawn Wanya, in September, will show up on "Moesha," "The Hughleys," "The Parkers" and "Girlfriends," according to a label spokesperson. Madonna will endear herself to millions of Brazilians when she performs some of that country's more popular soccer anthems for the movie "Alegria — Paixo do Futebol" (Joy — The Passion for Football), which celebrates the national game. The Material Girl will record two songs for the soundtrack, covering Caetano Veloso's "Alegria Alegria" (Joy Joy) and Gilberto Gil's "Aquele Abrao" (That Hug) in English translations, according to producer Sidnei Loureiro. ... Fastball's video to their new single "You're an Ocean" will feature the bandmembers appearing as though they're performing inside a tiny radio. "Just like we do in real life," quipped guitarist/vocalist Miles Zuniga during a break in shooting the clip Sunday (Aug. 13). "It's hard work traveling to all those radios every day." The clip, directed by Mark Khor (Alanis Morissette, Green Day), is expected to premiere in late August or early September. "You're an Ocean" is the first single from Fastball's third album, The Harsh Light of Day (due Sept. 19). ...

*NSync will launch a North American tour Oct. 17 in Charlotte, N.C., a band spokesperson said. The group is scheduling the rest of its dates. ... Eminem filed for divorce Wednesday (Aug. 16) morning in Macomb County, Mich., according to the rapper's spokesperson, Dennis Dennehy. Eminem (born Marshall Mathers) has been separated from Kimberly Mathers — the subject of murder fantasy musings in the songs "Kim," off this year's multiplatinum The Marshall Mathers LP, and " '97 Bonnie & Clyde," off The Slim Shady LP (1999) — since early June. The announcement comes as Eminem faces trial for allegedly attacking a man in June who kissed his wife. ...

Pop-rockers Fastball will release a six-song EP later this year titled C-Sides that will include leftover studio recordings, a live version of their 1998 hit "The Way" and a cover of the Replacements' "Androgynous," according to singer/bassist Tony Scalzo. Other tunes tentatively slated for the disc include "Love Doesn't Kill You," "Temple of My Love" and "Black Rain." Scalzo said the "Androgynous" rendition, on which he and guitarist/vocalist Miles Zuniga sing, is "done in a very frenetic way — it's just really agitated." ... Stone Temple Pilots are in serious talks about headlining this year's edition of the Family Values tour, according to a source close to the negotiations. Organizers have not confirmed any of the acts for the fall rap-rock trek. Meanwhile, STP's fourth album, No. 4, was recently certified platinum. ...

Rapper DMX and rock bands Red Hot Chili Peppers and Blink-182 will perform Sept. 7 at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York, according to MTV.
