Mary J. Blige, Destiny's Child Lead Lady Of Soul Nominees

Awards to be presented Sept. 2 by singer Sisqó, actor Shemar Moore.

Singer Mary J. Blige and R&B trio Destiny's Child lead the nominees announced Tuesday for the sixth annual Soul Train Lady of Soul Awards with three nods each.

Rapper Eve scored two nominations for her own work and two for her contributions to Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott's single "Hot Boyz."

Blige's nominations include one for Best R&B/Soul Single, Solo for "All That I Can Say," competing against Aaliyah's "Try Again," Lauryn Hill's "Everything Is Everything" and Angie Stone's "No More Rain (In This Cloud)." "All That I Can Say" also was nominated for R&B/Soul or Rap Song of the Year, along with "Say My Name" from Destiny's Child, "Unpretty" by TLC and Elliott's "Hot Boyz" (featuring Nas, Eve and Q-Tip).

Blige's Mary will compete with Eve's Let There Be ... Eve — Ruff Ryders' First Lady for R&B/Soul Album of the Year, along with Yolanda Adams (Mountain High ...Valley Low) and Amel Larrieux's Infinite Possibilities.

Eve was nominated for best R&B/Soul or Rap New Artist, Solo for "Gotta Man." Macy Gray ("Do Something"), Jennifer Lopez ("If You Had My Love") and Stone ("No More Rain") round out the category. The young rapper also was nominated in the Best Music Video category, where her song "Love is Blind" (featuring Faith Evans) squares off against Elliott's "Hot Boyz," Da Brat's "That's What I'm Looking For" and Aaliyah's "Try Again."

"Say My Name" scored Destiny's Child a nomination for Best Single by a Group, Band or Duo. They will stand against TLC ("Unpretty"), Jazzyfatnastees ("The Wound") and Mary Mary's "Shackles (Praise You)."

Destiny's Child's nomination for Album of the Year by a Group, Band or Duo pits their The Writing's on the Wall against self-titled works by Blaque and 702, along with Trin-I-Tee 5:7's Spiritual Love.

Rounding out the nominees were, for Best New Artist, Group, F.A.T.E ("Just Because"), Jazzyfatnastees ("The Wound"), Mary Mary ("Shackles") and So Plush Featuring Ja Rule for "Damn (Should've Treated U Right)."

Best Gospel Album nominees include Adams (Mountain High ...Valley Low), Karen Clark-Sheard (Finally Karen), Trin-I-Tee 5:7 (Spiritual Love) and CeCe Winans for Alabaster Box.

The awards will be held Sept. 2 in Santa Monica, Calif., hosted by soap opera star Shemar Moore and "Thong Song" singer Sisqó.
