Goo Goo Dolls To Launch Late-Summer Tour

Pop-rockers will be accompanied by USA Harvest, a nonprofit organization collecting food donations from fans.

Grammy-nominated rockers the Goo Goo Dolls are setting out on a late-summer tour, beginning Aug. 28 at the Colorado State Fair, in Pueblo, Colo.

The outing will take the band through several state fairs in the Central and Eastern United States. Accompanying the tour is USA Harvest, a nonprofit national food-delivery organization. Since March 1999, the organization has obtained more than 600,000 pounds of food contributed by fans at the group's shows.

The band is touring in support of its sixth album, Dizzy Up the Girl, which features its latest single, "Broadway" (RealAudio excerpt). The album has sold more than 4 million copies and has been on the Billboard 200 albums chart for 95 weeks.
