Pearl Jam Set Release Date For Live Discs

Series of 25 double albums to be sold online starting Sept. 5.

Pearl Jam's series of 25 live two-CD sets from their recent European tour will be released via the group's Web sites Sept. 5 and in stores two weeks later, the band has announced.

The discs will be available at www.pearljam.com and at www.tenclub.net, home of the band's official fan club, according to the latest issue of Pearl Jam's Rumor Pit newsletter, e-mailed to fans and posted online (www.sonymusic.com/artists/PearlJam).

Fans ordering online can buy individual sets or all of them at once. The newsletter said the sets will be priced around $10.98, with no discount for buying all 25 at one time. The series includes shows from May 23, when the band played Lisbon, Portugal, to June 29, when they played Oslo, Norway. Their Oslo setlist included such new songs as "Breakerfall" (RealAudio excerpt) and "Nothing As It Seems" (RealAudio excerpt), off Binaural, released May 16.

The partial set played the following day at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark, where nine people died from a crush in the crowd during Pearl Jam's performance, will not be released. The band's early-May warm-up shows in Bellingham, Wash., and Vancouver, British Columbia, also won't be released.

The group likely will put out a series of live double albums from its North American tour, which kicks off Thursday in Virginia Beach, Va., according to the newsletter.
