"I Wish," the first single from R. Kelly's upcoming album, TP-2.com, will be in stores Aug. 14.

The "I Wish" video, said to pay tribute to Kelly's mother, is being shot by director Christopher Erskin, whose credits include Vitamin C, Dru Hill, Blackstreet, Boyz II Men and Keith Sweat.

A spokesperson for Jive Records said the "TP" in the album's title refers to the artist's 1993 release, 12 Play, and that the record could be considered a "12 Play 2000."

The album is scheduled to be released Oct. 24. Tour plans will be decided later this month.

TP-2.com will be Kelly's fifth album. His most recent effort, 1998's R, has been certified six-times platinum.

Kelly can be heard on the just-released soundtrack to "The Nutty Professor II: The Klumps" with the song "Just a Touch," in addition to his two tunes on the "Shaft" soundtrack: "Bad Man" (RealAudio excerpt) and "Up and Outta Here."

Meanwhile, Kelly's boy-band project, Secret Weapon, should also see a single released in August, with the group's album, which Kelly wrote and produced, to follow sometime in the fall. Kelly also is producing another new artist, Robert Conner of Chicago.
