Tori Amos Strikes Up Band For Tour

The 12-city tour will launch in advance of the May 5 release of Amos' new album, From the Choirgirl Hotel.

Singer/songwriter Tori Amos will embark on her first tour with a full band on

April 18 at Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.'s Chili Pepper in what has been dubbed her

"Plugged" tour.

The 12-city tour will launch in advance of the May 5 release of Amos' new

album, From the Choirgirl Hotel, and will find the dramatic and sensual

pianist returning to intimate clubs such as Chicago's Park West and San

Francisco's Fillmore Auditorium.

The 12-track effort, Amos' fourth full-length album, was produced by Amos and

recorded in a 300-year-old barn in Cornwall, England. On Feb. 22, the sultry

singer wed the engineer of the album, Mark Hawley, according to Susan Swan,

Amos' Atlantic Records publicist.

Amos is expected to debut the album's single, "Spark," during an April 10

appearance on the "Late Show with David Letterman," which will be followed by

a May 12 gig on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno."

The track listing for the album is: "Spark," "Cruel," "Black-Dove (January),"

"Raspberry Swirl," "Jackie's Strength," "Iieee," "Liquid Diamonds," "She's

Your

Cocaine," "Northern Lad," "Hotel," "Playboy Mommy" and "Pandora's

Aquarium."
