From her "Material Girl" beginnings to her current incarnation as a Kabbalah-practicing, lady of the manor, one thing Madonna has always been consistent about is her love of dance. Her forthcoming album Confessions On A Dance Floor, showcases this love. Inspired by ABBA, The Bee Gees and the seminal disco flick Saturday NightFever, the video for the album's first single, "Hung Up" is a wild, dance club excursion that journeys to Los Angeles, Paris and London.
"[The video is] really a tribute to dance," said Madge in a recent MTV News RAW interview. Directed by Johan Renck (Beyonce, New Order, Madonna's "Nothing Really Matters") the sensuous clip captures various forms of dance around the world, including breakdancing, the West Coast-based "crumping," disco, modern and even the popular video game Dance Dance Revolution. "I just want to have fun," Madonna continued. "I want to dance; I want to feel buoyant and I want to give other people that same feeling."
Catch the disco fever and get "Hung Up" on Madge all over again when you see her international, club-ready clip, exclusively on MTV.com.
