Death Cab for Cutie video director Jay Martin reveals that the glamorous life of making music videos isn't always about stylin' and profilin':

"The video was shot over three fairly grueling all-nighters on a shoestring budget. Originally the band was going to be in the video, with Ben riding the bike, but for scheduling reasons they couldn't make it. On the first night of shooting our actor had to get on a bicycle which had been rigged up to a motorcycle sidecar. I remember thinking to myself, 'I'm glad the band is safely in Seattle for this one.'"
