About The Script

  1. The musical seeds of The Script were planted when Danny O'Donoghue and Mark Sheehan meet in a club in Dublin. Sharing a love of American music, in particular R&B, the duo soon became fast friends, and their musical affinities would later inspire them to form the strong songwriting and production partnership they have today. In 1996 they formed the pop group Mytown, which obtained some success but failed to break out of Ireland. After the band split, O'Donoghue and Sheehan headed to L.A. to do production work. They eventually moved back to Dublin and teamed up with the band's current drummer, Glen Power, to form The Script.
