In their latest attempt to justify their self-proclaimed greatest-band-that-has-ever-lived status, Jack Black and Kyle Gass of Tenacious D are set to simultaneously unleash the greatest movie ever and the greatest album of all time on an unsuspecting Earth. Cameos by Meat Loaf, Ronnie James Dio and Dave Grohl (as the devil) punctuate a madcap quest for a mystical guitar pick that transforms the meekest of holders into a rock monster. The soundtrack consists of "all new stuff," Gass tells MTV News. "I think we have a couple left over [from earlier sessions], but mainly it's all new. The Tenacious D sound is just a continuation of crazy rocking with some crazy, fun lyrics that the peeps can sing along with and say, 'My God, these guys are talented.' " Because it is humanly impossible to get your hands on this album soon enough, we've made some "arrangements" with Dave Grohl's acting coach and we've got the whole thing, ready to stream, right now.
