Erykah Badu has lined up a who's-who of contemporary female soul singers — Jill Scott, Macy Gray and Sunshine Anderson — for a one-day summer festival near Detroit.

The August 8 Marimba Festival, which will also feature Zap Mama, comes in the middle of a two-month summer tour that Badu launches August 1 in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Zap Mama will appear on three dates early in the tour in addition to the Marimba Festival. Opening acts for the rest of the tour have not been confirmed.

Badu will perform at the Essence Music Festival in New Orleans on July 5, and then do a series of dates in Europe before the U.S. tour.
