The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive

You can never say never, but the chances of the Beatles of hip-hop getting back together are looking very slim. Last month, Game apologized for the friction he stirred while being a member of the G-Unit, and just recently
Young Buck went the same route. But could 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo ever find it in their hearts to embrace their lyrically potent onetime crew members?

"Shout to Young Buck," Yayo said standing in the G-Unit offices earlier this week. "I wish you was with us, getting some money, living the life."

Has Yayo's stance actually softened towards Buck after all this time? His response to the Cashville rapper's recent words on cyberspace was, "When I see it, I feel a little sorry for him, because he could be taking the same advantages I'm taking.

"ThisIs50.com is the biggest hip-hop network out there — as well as the Web sites that come after it," Yayo continued. "He could be taking advantage of it, but you don't hear his mixtapes; you don't see nothing from nowhere. I just wish that the guy thought better or was a better businessman, instead of just being a good rapper. You being disgruntled towards 50, now what do you have? You could have been with us in Peru. We went to Switzerland, Istanbul, we went everywhere, man. I'm too real for the industry. Even if I was disgruntled about anything, I wouldn't care, because I'm still getting money. Still got houses, still got cars, sprinklers still come out the ground. I think people get jealous of 50, of how big he is. You wake up, Mayor Bloomberg is talking about 50. Then in the New York Post, he had two pages. Then he was on Fox 5 [New York] news because we're doing an event for the kids and grown-ups — August 30, come nice, in good behavior.

"But the thing is, a lot of artists don't hit that plateau where they're on CNN, on Fox 5," Yayo said. "But what happens, when we're around 50 and dudes is in the circles, dudes start to get mad jealous. They want 50's money. That's what happened with Game and Buck, there was no way they were supposed to mess up the money. That's what they did, they started messing up the money."

Yayo said the Unit could never take Game seriously because "Game is bipolar." As for Buck, whom they knew a lot longer and were closer friends with, it doesn't look like Yayo will be slapping him five anytime soon.

"Buck, I think he's at a point where financially, I don't think he got it, homie," Tony explained. "What are you doing? I don't see him anywhere. Even when you don't see me, Yayo's in Peru getting a nice check with 50. You can call it whatever you wanna call it; I'm still buying cars, Louis glasses, Porches. If Buck was around, he would still have these outlets available to him. Why apologize now?"

Streets Is Talking

Gucci Mane has a handful of major songs in rotation, such as "Break-Up," "LOL Smiley Face" and the "Obsessed" remix. He's on fire, no doubt. Gucci's album however, has been pushed back from September to December. Still, he will have something for the fans next month. The Atlanta concrete king will be dropping Wasted: The Prequel, an EP packed with his biggest mixtape records of the last year. His latest mixtape, The Movie 2, is a special-edition Gangsta Grillz with DJ Drama.

Young Buck Buries Beef, Thanks 50 Cent

First, the Game attempts to make nice with 50 Cent and G-Unit, apologizing to estranged former crew recently for his behavior. Now, is fellow former G-Unit member Young Buck getting in on the act?

Not quite. But the Tennessee rap titan, who was ejected from G-Unit last year,
is making amends. In a video interview that circulated online over the weekend, Buck said he's set to refocus on his music career, and his reemergence won't include any barbs at his old boss.

In fact, like the Game, Buck thanked 50 for giving him his big break.

"My whole strategy for coming back and f---ing with this rap sh-- is the total opposite of what people think I'm gonna do," he said. "I think a lot of motherf-----s think I'mma come out, beef with 50 and holler 'F--- G-Unit!' and all that. I'm not even looking to do it like that. I'm looking to make straight, good music, and do my thing through the music. Win from the hits itself. 'Cause that other sh-- ain't about nothing."

MTV News request for comment to Young Buck's camp had not been granted at press time.

The Southern lyricist said he hopes to forge forward with his own brand. In the past he signed former 2Pac affiliates the Outlawz to his Cashville label. Although he was signed to 50 Cent's G-Unit Records, Buck never hid his desire to branch out.

"I'd rather get out here and establish Buck," he continued. " 'Cause everybody establishes themselves. 50 Cent established 50 Cent. 50 Cent established G-Unit. I thank 50 Cent for what he did, giving me the opportunity to establish my talent on a boss base, where I was able to get myself heard on an international level."

Although Buck downplayed any issues he had with his former crew, he did admit his role in getting himself kicked out of G-Unit. Buck performed with or reconciled with Lil Wayne, Jadakiss and Game on separate occasions, angering 50, who at the time was engaged in battles with each camp. The moves eventually led to Buck's ouster.

"Maybe I got out of pocket a little bit," he said. "Because I played a part in it, too. So I can't sit here and act like I never did sh--. I played just as much a part in it as anyone I was with, whether it was 50 or [Lloyd] Banks or [Tony] Yayo, beefing with someone unnecessarily. They had a reason at the time, but when it was all said and done, no one got shot. And nothing came from it."

Headliner: 50 Cent

Essential Info: Polow Da Don and Timbaland were so excited about the project, they almost gave Fif tracks. But production from those two will more than likely pop up on Before I Self Destruct, due in September. The G-Unit General is warming the scene up before summer officially hits, dropping his new mixtape before the official product.

If you're curious about the title, know that it's not about a beef with one person in particular — this war angel is fed up with the watered-down music in hip-hop right now. It's not what he adored growing up as a fan.

"What I fell in love with initially ain't even in the mutha----in' art form anymore. It's cool because there's an opportunity for me to become [that] to a whole new generation ... because of their age group, they're not aware of it.

"Now I gotta shift the energy," 50 added. "I gotta make them follow me. After they follow me, they'll be able to make real hip-hop records and make them successful. I have to have a successful project with really good hip-hop music to make these people go, 'OK, we can make [a real hip-hop album].' I have to be successful to make the record companies go, 'We can support this guy that wrote a rap album' instead of feeling like 'We need him to go on this record with Ne-Yo or Dream. Get somebody on there to do the hook.' That's the concept of what they feel they can present to the public and that's not what the f--- I was going on when I started."

"When I start writing music to my core, I'm talking about the way I came up, the way I was raised," he explained. "That's easy to me. Tell me to make a commercial pop record, a commercial hit record and that's more difficult to me than to create concepts that people are excited about where I'm from."

After War Angel, 50 says to look for Sincerely Southside, on which he'll be rapping over some '90s R&B hits, as well as a full G-Unit mixtape prior to the release of Before I Self Destruct.

"I write at a rapid pace," he said. "I have binges. There's points I'll be in the studio ... I've met moments when I'm there and unmotivated by production. Just there and unexcited about the whole sh--. Then there's times when every beat that comes on, I have an idea."

"Lyrically, I think I've grown. This mixtape right here, as you listen to it you're gonna always get the energy from Young Buck, but the content I'm speaking on is reality-based. Records about the reality of my life is pretty much my strong point in music — as well as the party music and the trap music, you're gonna always get that from me. That's what formed Young Buck. But I like to venture in different lanes and reinvent myself as an artist every time around."

Buck says a record that hits home for him is "A Lot to Learn."

"I think I learned something right now — 90 percent business and 10 percent talent," Buck said. "If you ain't got the streets, you ain't got nothing.

"My survival comes with how hard I hustle, so my hustle never stops," he added. "I've been making sure my business is totally correct so I could get everything I deserve. Everything I go out and learn. No disrespect to none of the labels out there, but I feel if they're able to take from someone, they're gonna do it. Right now I'm focused on the business. That's why I'm able to create Cashville Records and have legendary artists like C-Bo and the Outlawz."

Main Pick Preview: Young Buck's Back on My Buck Sh--

Nuh-uh — you can't get the whole thing this week. We're gonna give you a quick taste of the product, and we'll see you with the main pick in its entirety next week. We got a nice sneak peek, though.

Young Buck just dropped his mixtape Back on My Buck Sh--, and his stance on his affiliation with the G-Unit (at least in this interview) has softened a bit. "Much respect to them dudes, but I'm doing my thing right now," Buck said.

Like Lloyd Banks, Buck said he's officially off Interscope but still signed to the G-Unit.

"To be honest, I'm trying to get away from that situation," he said in Atlanta. "No sooner than I get away from that situation, you'll be hearing from Young Buck."

By that, he means a full album. He has secured distribution through Sony Red for his Cashville Records. C-Bo and the Outlaws are still down with him.

If there's one thing Buck has learned from having his differences with 50 Cent and his pitfalls in the music industry, it's that the game is "90 percent business and 10 percent talent." Sticking with the business theme, he said fans should check for his track "Letter to the Labels."

"That's letting the labels know I'mma do it with or without you," he said. "Cashville Records, we got this."

Buck is shooting a movie called "No Warning" with Omar Gooding.

The Streets Is Talking: News & Notes From The Underground

Lil Wayne got a huge laugh out of watching Forest Whitaker perform "Di-- in a Box" during last week's MTV Movie Awards. That's definitely a moment he didn't expect form his "Hurricane Season" co-star.

"I just finished shooting a movie with Forest too. He's a very serious guy," Wayne said after the show in Universal City, California. "I just spoke to him before he went out there, and he was like, 'You did good in the movie.' Then he goes out there and sings that. I'm like, 'Wow.' "

"Hurricane Season" comes out later this year. The movie centers on a high school basketball team in the wake of Hurricane Katrina. "Everything was wonderful, and just doing it in New Orleans, it being a true story, and just contributing in any kind of way, it was great for me."

Wayne — who also gives his stamp of approval to "Twilight" (his daughter is a fan) — says he doesn't have any other roles lined up yet, but his album The Rebirth is dropping August 18. If Wayne had to choose his dream movie role, it's easy for Weezy: He'd be the Kid.

"Prince in Purple Rain," he answered when asked what role he would want. "Watch out now."

MTV News is celebrating Miami Week this week. You'll get to see the top MCs right now, the legends, the producers, the DJs — all the upcoming talent. We're loaded. Although Wayne reps N.O. at heart, he loves Miami. Not only does he have a crib out there, Weezy makes songs out in M.I.A. Take a look at the footage we have of Mr. F. Baby during the Tha Carter III recording sessions.

Miami Mind State

Shout-out to all the natives who made Miami theme records and repped their city hard. Here, we're calling out some records that gave props to M.I.A. There's a million of them — these are just a few we love.

Jay-Z's "Reservoir Dogs" (featuring the LOX, Beanie Sigel and Sauce Money)
Lyric: "Gangsters don't die, they get chubby and move to Miami"
Conclusion: Jadakiss' line is a classic. Even the toughest dude can find a place to chill down bottom. Just be careful not to consume too much of that good food at Phillippe or Mango's on the strip.

Rick Ross' "Rich Off Cocaine"
Lyric: "Miami nights/ I'm living the life"
Conclusion: Avery says it all. Whether you're ballin' on a budget or sitting on Tony Montana paper, you can literally have the time of your life on just a regular night in Miami.

Nas' "Blaze a 50"
Lyric: "Blaze a 50/ Sit back in the drop-top Azure Bentley/ Of course with me, this chick who'd make Bobby divorce Whitney/ Brazilian candy from Miami/ Masseuse, wedding ring on, lovin' Celine Dion"
Conclusion: Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston's divorce kinda takes the sting from Nas' rhyme, but back in the '90s, that line was the truth! In short, there were and always will be bad chicks in M.I.A.

Rick Ross lined up almost all of 50 Cent's musical foes for a remix of "Mafia Music." Ja Rule, the Game and Fat Joe all send ill will toward the G-Unit on the song, which hit the Net over the weekend.

"I f---ed you up once, f---ed you twice, and you still talking sh--," Rule raps on the record. "Curly, get off my di--."

Fat Joe threatens the Unit and references the infamous 50 Cent chain-snatching incident in Africa, when a fan jumped onstage and grabbed Fif's bling.

"Still went to Africa, still wore the big chain," Joe raps. "Where you got robbed at, n---a, on the same stage."

Ross gets really personal on the song, name-checking 50's son in the song and claiming to have the boy's mother in a hotel suite.

"I put a million on it, this pu--- don't want it," Ross declares. "Show up in his 'hood with the wolves by the morning."

There is one glaring omission on the "Mafia Music" remix: estranged Unit member Young Buck.

"Young Buck is my homie," Ross told MTV News recently in New York. "I ain't even ask Young Buck to get on the remix, because I'm a business man. I understand the position Young Buck is in. ... I wouldn't even ask him to be a part of that for his business' sake. Handle your business, Buck. Whatever you need from me, I got you. Other than that, we'll ride later."

Artist: Max B, French Montana and Dame Grease

Representing: New York City

Independent Album: Coke Wave

411: If you've been paying attention, you know all three of these guys. Dame Grease has made some legendary tracks for a slew of guys, including DMX and the Ruff Ryders, and some recent bangers, like DJ Drama and company's "Taking Pictures." The Mixtape Monday chain gang has known Frenchie since he was going by Young French (thanks for the introduction to Papoose all those years ago). He's had a recurring role in these parts with his "Cocaine City" DVD series. No telling what gems you'll find there, like Beyoncé mimicking Jay-Z. And Max B? His intoxicated, melodic flow (singing or rapping) has a lot of the fans and media types saying he has the talent to be a star.

Unfortunately, Max and Jim Jones — whose label he's signed to — have had a well-documented falling-out. So as far as an official album goes, who knows? Max has been dropping a bunch of mixtapes to stay relevant, though. A bunch of fans even reached out to us, asking when he was going to be on Mixtape Monday. Well, he's here.

"This sh-- is so crazy for me. It's like I got an album out, and I ain't got no album out," boasted Max, a.k.a. Biggaveli, a.k.a. Wavy Crockett.

"It's all gonna work out," Wavy added of his debut LP's impending release. "It's gonna unfold. Be patient. Y'all gonna see a Max B album."

G-Unit's Tony Yayo told us recently that he would like to see Max come to the G-Unit and would even consider working some business out.

"That would have to be on Jim," Yayo said of a possible buyout. "I would love for the opportunity [to sign Max]. I would love to be a businessman just like Fif. I learned so much. So learning the business from Fif, me and Jim can come to the table. If he wanted to let him go, I would want to work something out."

"Anything is possible," Max said. "Y'all know my situation. It would be nice to get that worldwide buzz. Ain't nothing like a machine behind you."

Max's next mixtape is called Vigilante Season: PD4 Prequel. The seeds for the Coke Wave were planted months ago when Max and French met through mutual friends.

"That's my guy," French said. "We met through a few close friends, and everything was everything. Once I met him, he looked me in the eye and hasn't lied to me since. We kept it official, got with Grease. Grease has been doing it for a minute. He gave us that thang."

Dame worked in the executive producer/ project producer capacity.

"Grease has been a part of a lot of dynasties," B said. "Every movement he's a part of, for some strange reason. But he's always been the underdog. Once I break the chain, he's gonna get his due date again. Win another ring."

Coke Wave is just the start of the trio's interaction. "Max is hot in the street, I'm hot in the street, Grease is hot in the streets," French said. "We looked at it as if we came together, it would be a movement. While we got one thing out, Max is working on his project, I'm working on my project. We keep hitting them. We always got something for the people."

Joints To Check For

» "What Would You Do." "That was a joint I had in the stash," Biggaveli explained. "A little beat. French was like, 'Let's do it. Give it that street flavor.' I was like, 'Let's do it. Make it a wave.' He did a version, I did a version, we put it together. It's basically about how these n---as in the street be wolfin', calling me, beggin'. Sh-- just be crazy. [I] gotta just stay on the move, basically, keep the sh-- going. Keep a clear head in the game. Basic street tales, rider music, day-to-day sh-- you wake up and do. Average real n---as get up, smoke a cigarette, smoke a blunt, take a sh--, drink a swig from last night. Real grizzly things. That's what I'm talking about on that record."

» "Wave Gang." "Grease had [the song] in the stash," French said. "One day, we was listening to music, and I called Grease like, 'Oooh.' "

"I'mma keep it real, Max did some sh-- that was sounding crazy," Grease continued. "I switched the beat. I didn't wanna throw [the rhymes] away on a freestyle beat. These mixtapes are better than a lot of people's albums. When I heard it, I flipped the beat, and when Max came back, he was like, 'Nah, that ain't the joint.' Then he listened and was like, 'OK, hold on.' The song is like a description of us right here in the 'hood not reaching to be something else. This is what we do. Black Nike boots, hoodies. Everything we do is a Northeast type of thing. Bringing the feeling back."

» "The Business." "That was something Max had," French said. "We was going through joints that came on. I had to strong-arm my way onto that song. He already had the hook and the 16. I just jumped on it. That's just like a coming-up record. Watch your business."

"Buck is a personal partner of mine," Tip said. "We've spoken, about a month or two ago, but we didn't iron out no particulars. I would definitely be willing to speak to Buck about that, but I haven't."

50 Cent told us any offers to sign Buck would have to go through him.

"I don't know that situation," Tip said of Buck's status with the G-Unit. "That's why I would have to speak to Buck first. I haven't even begun to deliberate. I haven't even started the conversation with, 'What would it take to get you over here.' That's just the conversation that's been floating around the rumor mill. When I spoke to him, it was more, 'Hey, how you doing?' speaking as partners. We didn't speak professionally. Just him making sure I was all right. Him asking me how I'm feeling, me asking the same of him.

"Killer Mike, on the other hand, I have been speaking to about connecting and moving forward professionally together," he said. "Mike is an outstanding lyricist and phenomenal talent and very intelligent individual. We get along very well. Always have. It's a real organic fit."

Another paring that's natural to Tip is him and DJ Drama. Mr. Thanksgiving has been lobbying to get the Rubber Band Man to make more mixtapes with the PSC.

"Yeah, you know, we working on it," Tip said. "Drama is trying to get me outta mixtape retirement right now. Who knows?" ...

If you wanna get in the ring with Bun B, you better hit as hard as Mike Tyson at a 21-year-old. The Underground King wants to knock your head off — in the friendliest way, that is.

"I'm a worthy adversary," Bun said of outshining his collaborators over the years. "A lot of times, people don't really have a reason to do songs with people. With me, you wanna know where you stand against me. I've proven myself time and time again with the best ever. If you're one of these cats that consider yourself in the rankings, I'm basically your sparring partner. Once you decide you wanna make a move in the top 10, I'm the dude you have to spar with just to get considered."

Bun's toughest partner outside of Pimp C? T.I.

"Tip and I had a real tough go," he said. "We did a couple songs. 'The Reaction' remix — we went in on that. There were a couple of more songs where we went at it, and after, we were like, 'We'll just keep it casual.' You know who else? Jadakiss. Every now and then, me and 'Kiss end up on these various remixes, and he knows and I know we're on these songs.

"There's people on my side that say, 'You and 'Kiss, y'all have to do something, because y'all be going at it,'" Bun added. " 'Kiss is my dude. We talk a lot about doing something together. We just gotta do that defining song, where it's just me and him. I'd love to go in with 'Kiss. Me and Raekwon been talking about doing something together. Snoop — you can't really spar on a song with Snoop. You have to do a whole mixtape, because dude is not running out of rhymes no time soon. And you gonna see a lot of me and Royce [Da 5'9"] in the near future. I like how youngster gets down. We just put something together for his new joint. I really wanna rock with this kid, because I know he's got it in him. We gotta get that one where we getting it. That's somebody I wanna go a couple of rounds with." ...

<embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:324253

"Right now, it's all about back-to-them-grind days," Trae Tha Truth said. "In Houston, we was real major on that independent scene. We're back to watching how these majors struggle."

In front of Houston hot spot Breakers, Trae was with a gang of his homies watching hand-to-hand combat — combat against the recession. The local mixtape courier was selling mixtapes as the cars pulled up. The item of choice was, of course, Trae's Streets Advocate.

"It's a takeover, homie," Trae said.

"With us, it's the streets, man. Everybody do what they do on a regular basis," he said about the demographic he was trying to attract.

Last weekend in Atlanta, it felt like there were more rappers teaming up to do videos than were going to the BET Hip-Hop Awards.

DJ Khaled and Ace Hood shot a video for the "Let's Ride" remix in the same location and at the same time as Busta Rhymes started collecting cameos for his "Arab Money" clip. Later that night in the A, Jeezy rolled out the red carpet for friends such as Rick Ross, Fabolous, Jadakiss, Ice Cube, W.C., Busta Rhymes, Young Buck and Khaled on the set of "Who Dat."

"Shout to Jeezy," Khaled said after filming his guest spot. "I'm a big fan of Jeezy, and that's my brother. He's one of those big boys in the game. He's shooting a video today, and even if we wasn't in it, we would have came down just to support. We in his 'hood. We wanna show that support. We got in the video, and that's a blessing. Jeezy is on all my albums, and he always supports me. We make great music, and he's a real dude."

"He's like a brother from another mother," Buck said of Jeezy. "We go way back, from the streets to the raps. We keep our thing real solid. He does his thing, and I show up. I do my thing, and he shows up.... In the A, they know when they see Jeezy move, they see Buck around a lot. The way it was in the streets, we keep it the same way in the rap world."

"It was a big deal shootin' this video 'cause Fab came through, and we're already cool. ... Same thing with Busta; we were already cool," said Shawty Redd, the track's producer. "The biggest thing was seeing Ice Cube say my name on the track. I had wanted to meet him for a long time, so it was a moment I'll remember. It was a big thing for all the artists to come support and say my name in the video and support the movement with Jeezy.

"Man, after all these years of hard work, it's a great feeling to have all these major artists come out and appreciate the work I've been doin' in the game," he added.

Jeezy co-directed the video. Young said "Who Dat" definitely won't be the last clip we see from the heralded Recession LP.

" 'Crazy World' is next week," Jeezy said. "I'mma be real: I think I'mma shoot a video for every song on my album. I ain't got nothing to do. I'm bored. I'll just shoot a couple of videos."

The very next day, Jeezy came down to Ice Cube's video set for "I Got My Locs On," another clip shot in Atlanta.

Young Buck Says The Rehab Will Sell A Million In A Week -- Whenever It Gets Released

ATLANTA — Who will be the next MC to sell a million units in the first week? If not Kanye West or 50 Cent, then certainly Eminem.

Well, Young Buck said he doesn't care if other artists have bigger names — he's going to sell a million.

While Buck's aspirations are lofty, what makes his goal even more suspect is that his next LP is in limbo. Because of Buck's rift with the G-Unit, everything is up in the air — except the title, that is. The Tennessee native told MTV News exclusively what he plans to call the project.

"The name of my record is The Rehab," he said with a smile Sunday in Atlanta. "Straight up, that's where I been at."

Buck said that he and Tupac's protégés, the Outlawz, will put out two separate projects around the same time. "You can expect for their album at the top of the year," he said. "Hopefully it comes January, no later than February.

"Regardless of whatever you may hear, whatever dealing with Buck, what you see is what you get," he continued. "Honestly, to be real, 50 [Cent] made the statement to the world that 'Buck is no longer a part of G-Unit, but he's still an artist on the label,' so whenever I guess he gets over his situation and figures out his album, I guess we'll come to terms and figure out a release date on my album. Until then, I ain't stoppin'. That's why I'm going so hard with the mixtapes. I'm everywhere. Hopefully, we'll get a release on my album in January or February."

In the Southern MC's perfect world, he'll be able to be released from G-Unit Records. He said he already has suitors willing to buy him out of his contract if 50 is willing to sit down and negotiate.

"I'm trying to get totally away from the whole G-Unit situation, period," he said. "If I can directly deal with Interscope, so be it. I only got two albums left anyway. So at this point, all I'm trying to do is fulfill what I got left with homeboy and move on. It's already understood that the relationship with me and G-Unit will never be the same, so you don't ever have to look forward to seeing me back with G-Unit. That's not my thing. I'm staying down with the streets, and the streets are staying down with me."

Tuesday night was a busy night for hip-hop fans in NYC, with Young Jeezy and the Game going head to head with separate concerts. Fabolous, Lil' Kim and Maino joined Jeezy's Blender Theater show, but Game paraded a few of his own lyrically inclined friends down the way at Irving Plaza. Some were former enemies, and some were friends who turned into enemies but came back to friendship.

Game's first guest was a doozy: Joe Budden. Shortly after Game joined G-Unit, the two squared off lyrically for several months, and their disses toward each other were scathing. Their disses toward each other were scathing. Jump-Off Budden performed "Pump It Up" and his new underground classic "Who."

Next were Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon and Ghostface Killah. Game at one point bowed in homage as Rae kicked a freestyle: "When my ni--as come down, they burning that crib down/ And you gettin' hit."

"Love you, ni--a," Rae told Game, and Ghost yelled out, "They set the stage on fire!"

Kool Herc stood on the sidelines among Game's Black Wall Street clan, who flooded the stage. The Compton MC called Herc out to the spotlight and bowed to him. The legendary DJ told Game that his favorite record was "Hate It or Love It."

"Always love, man," Herc said.

Fat Joe was the next to enter the big kids' playground with "Lean Back." They even let parts of jailed former Terror Squad member Remy Ma's verse play.

Game's putting on for the city didn't stop there. After Maino (busy night, huh?) held down the show with "Hi Hater," it was a reunion of booted G-Unit members who hadn't shared the stage in four years.

Young Buck arrived and immediately gave the star of the show an iced-out watch.

"I read on the Internet that you were broke," Game said to his pal.

"I'm a street n---a, we gets money for real," Buck responded.

Of course, the two had words for 50 Cent, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo. (Who couldn't see that coming?) "Without me, they just a Unit," Buck rapped a cappella, implying that the clique was no longer gangsta.

Game took liberties with his own song "How We Do" soon after, bashing his former rap collective: "Took three years, kicked me and Buck out/ New York was like, ['Huh']?"

Later, Young Buck said he had no beef with Fat Joe.

Game gave the fans another taste of his L.A.X. LP with current single "My Life" and probable second single "Money," but he didn't perform his controversial track, "Letter to the King."

Jim Jones was the last surprise of the night. He and Game did a piece of "Certified Gangsta." Jim took control for portions of "Love Me No More" and "Byrdgang Money." The Harlem Dipset Capo then handed the mic back to his Cali friend. The night's main attraction sent the fans home with "Game's Pain."

NEW YORK — On Tuesday night in New York, 50 Cent mocked former G-Unit mocked former G-Unit member Young Buck onstage during the group's concert,
crooning "Shorty wanna cry with me" instead of the lyric from Buck's 2004 single "Shorty Wanna Ride."

Also on Tuesday, Buck himself dropped another dis record directed at the Unit called "Terminate on Sight" (also the name of the new G-Unit album).
"Ah sh--, they done kicked me out the crew, I'm cool now," he raps. "Nose running, but I ain't snorted nothing/ Took a sniff of myself and I smell like money." Buck also antagonizes G-Unit's Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo, saying, "50's money ain't yours."

Oddly enough, 50 Cent still seems to have a soft spot in his heart for Buck. The Queens MC said he's not going to war with his onetime group member.

"Buck is a disappointment for me," 50 told MTV News on Monday. "I treated him like a younger brother. ... He's not a enemy now. He's like a relative that decides to do something to you that you're uncomfortable with, so you don't bring him around you. I don't view Buck as my enemy. If he feels that way about me, those are his personal feelings. I wouldn't be surprised if he felt that [I was his enemy]. He's like my younger brother — even if he sees me in this interview saying it to him — he won't understand. He'll just go on how it feels."

Everyone knows that 50 recently released a recording of a phone conversation with Buck where the Cashville MC broke down about financial difficulties and begged to rejoin G-Unit.

"I couldn't tell you the things he told me in that conversation," 50 said, justifying why he taped the talk. "You'd think I'm just being angry. [But] I play you the tape and you get it for yourself so much more vividly."

Fif did get some flack from the blogosphere for recording the conversation — some were harsh enough to call it a "b---h a-- move."

"I didn't know we could say 'b---h a--' on MTV," Fif replied. "For them to say that, they don't understand the dynamics of what's going on. Ask me, do I care about a blogger? A person who has time to say that was a b---h a-- move is a b---h a-- n---a. I thought that was an official move. Right now I don't wanna be disrespectful to Young Buck. But how do you respond to the disrespect he's displaying?"

50 said that Buck is still signed to G-Unit Records for three more albums, and he won't let the insults interfere with doing business.

"He'll still get his fair shot at releasing his album," 50 insisted.

"Listen, he just did a show and only 20 people showed up," he added, referring to a reportedly sparsely attended concert in Washington, D.C. "If that's not an indication that what you're doing is a mistake, I don't know what is."

MTV News will have much more from our sitdown with G-Unit in the coming days.
