It's John McClane versus the Queen, as Bruce Willis' "Tears of the Sun" and Queen Latifah's "Bringing Down the House" arrive in theaters.

"Tears of the Sun" sees "Die Hard" star Willis teaming up with "Training Day" director Antoine Fuqua for a story about a group of eight Navy SEALS trapped by a small army while trying to protect a doctor and her patients. (Click for photos from "Tears of the Sun.")

Latifah, who earned an Academy Award nomination for her supporting role in "Chicago" (see " 'Chicago' Nabs Most Oscar Noms; Eminem, U2 Get Props"), pairs with comedic veteran Steve Martin ("Roxanne") in "Bringing Down the House." The over-the-top comedy is about an on-the-run convict (Latifah) whose good charm and warm heart win over a lawyer (Martin) and his family. Latifah served as an executive producer on the film, which has taken heat from some critics for its use of dated racial stereotypes. (Click for photos from "Bringing Down the House.")

Both films will go up against last week's #1 box-office draw, "Cradle 2 the Grave" (see "X Gives It To Moviegoers, Lands At #1 With 'Cradle 2 The Grave' ") as well as the consistently well performing comedy "Old School" and Ben Affleck superhero flick "Daredevil."
