Incubus Taps Ultraspank For U.S. Tour

With a stint on this year's Sno-Core tour and a Buzzworthy video under its belt, Incubus has now set its sights on a headlining tour kicking off next week in North Carolina.

The band says farewell to its Sno-Core brethren (System Of A Down, Puya, and Mr. Bungle) Sunday in Atlanta and then grabs opening act Ultraspank for a trek that gets started the following day in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

"We're all excited we get to play more songs," drummer José Pasillas told the MTV Radio Network of the headlining jaunt. "We'll get to have the stage just the way we want it and play as long as we want, so it's definitely something to look forward to." [RealAudio]

The outing will be the heavy rock outfit's latest in support of 1999's "Make Yourself," which recently spawned a Buzzworthy video with the Steven Murashige-directed clip for "Pardon Me."

After meeting the masses on this summer's Ozzfest tour, System Of A Down, Incubus, and Ultraspank are hitting the road for a tour of their own starting next month.

The eclectic Armenian-American metal outfit, which played Ozzfest's second stage, played a one-off gig at Los Angeles' Roxy on Saturday, and will now take another three weeks off before hitting the road on September 13 in Wichita, Kansas. There the band will hook up with fellow Ozzfest second stage alums Incubus and Ultraspank for a tour that will run through mid-October.
