Full Biography

  1. THEE Stasia and Catherine Satisfaction's spaceship landed in the heart of Seattle,Washington in June of 2008. They became refugees on the planet Mars but escaped the green martians in search of freedom. During their hide out in Seattle, they began to understand that similar forms of oppression where happening on planet Earth. They found out that by fusing psychedelic-space-rap-jazz they could decode the system.

The sounds and revelations that THEESatisfaction broadcast can often be related with other sonic beings that use similar wavelengths to communicate such as Erykah Badu, Digable Planets, Outkast, Saul Williams, Q-Tip & Sa-Ra Creative Partners

Since 2008, THEESatisfaction has released two earth interpretation mixtapes "That's Weird" and "Snow Motion." The two projects were translated, produced*, written, and composed by THEE Stasia and Catherine Satisfaction.

"The rough-hewn tracks of their first mixtape, That's Weird, established them as one of the most promisingly outta-left acts to pop up on the radar 'round here--their jazzy freak-rap science somewhere between Solid Gold, Octavia Butler, and Space Is the Place, but with a bold sound and swagger all its own. Cat Satisfaction's lush singing/scatting blends seamlessly with Thee Stasia's wickedly pointed rhymes and bugged keyboard compositions... 'Weird' showcased the duo's punk-rock spirit and flagrantly hiphop heart." Larry Mizell Jr. (The Stranger)
