Full Biography

Created by choreographer Robin Antin in the Los Angeles garage of her friend, actress Christina Applegate, The Pussy Cat Dolls was originally a singing-and-dancing ensemble known for their electric and racy performances at The Viper Room and the famed Roxy nightclub. Throughout their 7-year incarnation as an urban cabaret, The Pussy Cats Dolls earned a reputation as some of the hottest performers in L.A.

Stars like Gwen Stefani, Brittany Murphy, Charlize Theron, Nikka Costa and Pamela Anderson were guest performers with the troupe and eventually record companies started to show interest in signing them as recording artists.

Interscope/Geffen/A&M Chairman Jimmy Iovine signed the group to A&M records in 2002. From there they appeared on everything from late night variety shows to movie soundtracks. The current roster includes lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bachar, Ashley Roberts, Kimberly Wyatt and Melody Thornton. Scherzinger scored a Top 10 album and single while in girl group Eden's Crush, Sutta is a former captain of the Miami Heat dance troupe, Bachar was the "La Vida Loca" girl on Ricky Martin's world tour, Roberts and Wyatt were two of the hottest young dancers in Hollywood, and Thornton was discovered at an open casting call in her hometown of Phoenix, Arizona.

The Pussy Cat Dolls self-titled debut was released in summer 2005, driven by their hit single "Don't Cha" featuring Busta Rhymes and written by rap/R&B star Cee-Lo.
