Does the world need another rap/rock act? The latest band to break into the genre is Quarashi, an Icelandic outfit that could pass for the children of the Beastie Boys and Limp Bizkit, if that were biologically possible. They've already made a name for themselves with their single, "Stick 'Em Up." Their U.S. debut, Jinx, hits stores this week.

Hoping not to get jinxed by - Jinx are the Mooney Suzuki, a four-piece garage band (and crowd favorite at this year's South By Southwest) from New York City that derived its name from those of former Can singers Malcolm Mooney and Damo Suzuki. They've just issued their second full-length album, - Electric Sweat.

If you're more MTV than MTV2, no doubt you're familiar with Heather B., the tough-talking, dog-walking cast member of the first season of "The Real World" ... and the "Real World" reunions ... and the "Real World/Road Rules Challenge." She's stepping back into the spotlight with her first love, music. Heather's third album, - Eternal Affairs hits shelves on Tuesday. Just like reruns, the title suggests she'll probably be around for an eternity.

Janeane Garofalo To Help Out Superchunk

July 17 [14:00 EDT] -- Not quite content with her new role as host of MTV's "Indie-Outing," comedienne Janeane Garofalo will soon appear in a video of her own.

Garofalo and comedian David Cross (of the inspired HBO sketch comedy series, "Mr. Show") will lend a hand to North Carolina's Superchunk by appearing in the indie group's next video.

The two will be in Queens, New York this Sunday and Monday for the shoot for the track "Watery Hands" form the band's eighth album, "Indoor Living."

A Superchunk spokesperson says Garofalo and Cross, both fans of Superchunk, play artsy video directors who take a creative approach to making a video for the band. The two will join the growing list of comedians who can be spotted in music videos.

Sheryl Crow boasts appearances by Molly Shannon of SNL, Ellen DeGeneres, and Andy Dick of "News Radio" in her latest clip. That video also features a turn by Linda Doucett of "The Larry Sanders Show," the reigning queen of music video cameos, who can also be spotted in recent clips by Weezer and Beck.
