She Wants Revenge

This post-punk, post-hip-hop electronica duo is made up of Justin Warfield (vocals, guitar, programming) and Adam "Adam 12" Brown (keyboard, bass guitar, percussion, programming). The two have their roots in hip hop, as Adam 12 was a producer and Warfield was a rapper who released his first album, My Field Trip to Planet 9 in 1993. Their music has since evolved into an amalgam of their collective influences--especially the the stark, new wave dance music of Gang of Four and New Order and the electro-boogie of Arthur Baker's collaborations with Afrika Baambataa and the Soulsonic Force. Their self-titled debut LP was released in January 2006.
