</p><p><B>Cutting Crew</B>, died on Tuesday at age 51 after a long battle with lung cancer. Following the group's worldwide 1987 hit, "(I Just) Died in Your Arms," MacMichael went on to play guitar for former <B>Led Zeppelin</B> frontman <B>Robert Plant</B>, tour with former <B>Beatles</B> drummer <B>Pete Best</B> and produce an album by Canadian rocker <B>Ashley MacIsaac</B>. ...

While not a part of the latest "Star Trek" flick, <B>William Shatner</B>, according to a post on his Web site, is planning to record an album, with <B>Ben Folds</B>, who employed some sampled Shatner on his <B>Fear of Pop</B> side project, as producer. The former T.J. Hooker achieved cult notoriety with his 1968 recording <I>The Transformed Man,</I> which featured spoken-word versions of then-current pop songs, such as "Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds" and "Mr. Tambourine Man." ... After taking a break to release solo albums, the <b>Cardigans</b> have re-formed to record their fifth album, <i>Long Gone Before Daylight.</i> Due in March in the U.K., the record will feature guest appearances from fellow Swedish bands the <b>Hives</b>, the <b>Soundtrack of Our Lives</b> and the <b>Hellacopters</b>. ... The upcoming sequel to "The Fast and the Furious," co-starring <b>Paul Walker</b>, <b>Tyrese</b> and <b>Ludacris</b>, will carry the promotional tagline "2 Fast 2 Furious" beneath "The Fast and the Furious 2" logo, according to a Universal Pictures spokesperson. album. Patrick said he's also finishing an all-instrumental album under the 
name <B>Carpet</B>, which he's recording when he's not playing with the Anakin

</p><p>Former chairman and president of cymbal maker Avedis Zildjian died Thursday in Scottsdale, Arizona, of cancer. <B>Arman Zildjian</B>, 81, was a descendant of <B>Avedis Zildjian</B>, who founded the eponymous company in 1623 in Constantinople (now Istanbul), Turkey, with an innovative alloy of copper, tin and silver that made exceptional cymbals.
