While it was her musical mash note to "X-Files" star David Duchovny that helped her break through, Bree Sharp is turning to a couple of WB shows for even more exposure.
The New York-based singer-songwriter has lent her latest single, "America," to the producers of "Dawson's Creek," who will feature the song in the show's Thanksgiving episode Wednesday night.
The "Dawson's Creek" exposure comes just after another WB show, "Charmed," used Sharp's track "Show Me" in a recent episode. Sharp may also see her track "Fallen" turn up in an upcoming episode of the WB series "Popular."
If you're interested in finding out what the WB has going with Bree, you can ask her yourself when she pops up in AOL's Entertainment Asylum on Thursday, December 2 for a live chat.

Bree Sharp is well aware of the pitfalls inherent in cranking out a pop culture love letter like her recent hit "David Duchovny."
The singer-songwriter has been playing guitar since the age of 15 and has spent the last two years honing her craft in New York clubs. However, all that hard work could be overlooked if people start seeing her as "the David Duchovny girl" based on her ode to the "X-Files" star.
"I was totally worried about it, but I didn't have much of a choice in that the song kind of leaked out in its demo form," Sharp told MTV News this week of her introduction to listeners. "It had such a life of its own before the record was even made that by the time the record was pressed and ready to have a single go to radio, it was just an obvious choice."
Those who have heard it will likely agree. The track's crisp, witty lyrics find Sharp pining for Duchovny calling him the
"American Heathcliff" and singing the praises of "the man, the myth, the monotone." The song even caught the ear of "X-Files" creator Chris Carter, who recruited Pamela Anderson Lee, Whoopi Goldberg, Brad Pitt, George Clooney, Jenna Elfman, Kiss, and other celebs to lip-synch verses for a video played during the show's holiday party. Radio soon caught on as well, but Sharp knew that the success could be a mixed blessing.
"I was totally afraid of becoming 'the David Duchovny girl,' but I thought one of two things [would happen]: either the Duchovny song will be my entrée in the business. I'm really proud of my record, and I feel like I have a lot of songs that are just as accessible melodically and lyrically that aren't about a pop star. If people hear them, that music will get out and I will be recognized as the singer-songwriter that I fancy myself to be and I'll have my own identity, which is what I think is happening."
"The other scenario that I imagined is that it would have its time, and that would be the end." [RealAudio]
It appears that the first of those two options is currently playing itself out. Sharp landed a spot on this summer's Lilith Fair, where she was able to trot out some of the more intimate and personal tracks found on her debut album, "A Cheap And Evil Girl." She is also hoping that some of her Duchovny momentum will carry over to the second single from the album, "America," which recently started popping up at radio.

After scoring a breakthrough hit with "David Duchovny" and introducing herself to the public on this summer's Lilith Fair, Bree Sharp has plans for a follow-up single as well as her television debut.
Sharp will take her sunny sounds to the even sunnier set of "Live With Regis & Kathie Lee" on Tuesday, September 14 for what will be the New York-based (but Philadelphia-born) singer-songwriter's national television debut.
"I was very psyched, but I thought they were booking me for 'I Want To Be A Millionaire,'" Sharp joked about the news. "I'm really happy actually," Sharp added.
In an effort to show that there is in fact life after "David Duchovny," Sharp will soon release "America," the second single from her "A Cheap And Evil Girl" debut album. The track has been released to a few radio stations already, and will soon go nationwide.
Sharp will take the song to listeners directly with a few select tour dates. If you want to catch her, here's where to look:

9/15 - Nashville, TN @ WRLT Radio Concert
9/24 - Salt Lake City, UT @ KENZ Radio Concert
9/26 - Boise, ID @ KFXJ Radio Festival
9/29 - Chicago, IL @ House of Blues

After stirring up excitement by name checking David Duchovny for a hit single, Bree Sharp has now been added to a couple of dates on this summer's Lilith Fair tour.
Sharp, whose single "David Duchovny" can currently be heard on a radio near you, was added to Lilith's stops in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, August 10 and Detroit on Saturday, August 14. Spokespeople for the singer say that Sharp may be added to more Lilith dates as well.
The shows will come a few days after the singer makes her debut with a full electric band this weekend at a radio station-sponsored show in West Palm Beach, Florida. However Sharp will return to an acoustic set for her Lilith dates.
The gigs also come close on the heels of the release of Sharp's debut album, "A Cheap and Evil Girl," which has garnered warm reviews since its release late last month.
In addition to the Lilith stops, Sharp will also push the album with a series of appearances that include Chicago's "Fox Thing in the Morning"
show on August 12 and shows in Erie, Pennsylvania on August 26, New York City on August 27, and Norfolk, Virginia on August 28.
