Jill Scott gave birth to a baby boy, Jett Hamilton Roberts, on Monday, according to a press release sent by her rep. It's the first child for the singer and actress (who currently stars in the HBO series "The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency") and her fiancé, drummer Jon Roberts.

People.com reported that Scott found out she was pregnant before leaving for Botswana to film her TV show. "At one point I was trying to gain weight for the role, and I noticed I had put on 7 pounds in 7 days. And I thought, my God! What's going on here?" she told the site. "I thought something was wrong with me, and I found out I was pregnant the day I was supposed to leave for Africa."

Scott later revealed she was pregnant at a press event for the Television Critics Association conference in Los Angeles in January. "The first trimester I spent in Botswana," the 37-year-old said. "That was one of the biggest challenges of my life. First trimester! You're sick every morning. It was seven hours' time difference, the heat, the bugs, the 14-hour days. My doctors gave me a clean bill of health and said you can do this, so I did it."

Scott and Roberts began dating in 2007 and announced they'd be getting married at a concert in New York last June. In an interview, Scott addressed the problems she's had in the past in regards to wanting to have kids. "I definitely had issues over the course of my life, reproduction issues," she said. "I was married for five years and could never conceive a child. Until now. ... It's the most amazing thing that's ever happened to me."

Mary J. Blige has a love-hate relationship with her fans, she reveals in the new issue of Vibe, out Tuesday. They don't seem to like her when she's happy — but she doesn't want to be dark and depressed just to make them happy. "When I took the chance to show people I can be happy, I lost a million of my fans," she told the magazine. "I was like, 'I'm gonna have to lose y'all in order for us to live, because if I keep going down this dark hole, we're all gonna die together. I'm gonna slit my wrists or take some pills, and it's gonna be over." That's why Blige feels obliged, more than ever before, to write love songs that she dedicates to her husband. "That's my buddy, my best friend, my business partner," she said. "He's got my back like nobody's ever had my back. I feel like God used him to come and pull me together." Also getting Mary's back is Bill Cosby's wife, Camille, who helped inspire the themes on Blige's Growing Pains. "Bill Cosby called me like, 'My wife loves you! She says there's a song you need to write about love,' " Blige tells the magazine. "I finally called Bill back and said, 'We got the record.' He says, 'Mrs. Cosby will be so glad to hear that.' I damn near cried." ...

Wyclef Jean is being sued for copyright infringement by Blahz of New York rap squad Blahzay Blahzay, who is alleging that an unauthorized sample appears on the former Fugee's latest solo effort, Carnival Vol. II: Memoirs of an Immigrant, according to XXL. The suit, which was filed last month, reportedly claims Wyclef used a sample from Blahzay Blahzay's hit song "Danger" on his tune "Welcome to the East" but didn't clear the sample or credit the group. Blahz did say in a statement, however, that he was contacted by Wyclef's people over use of the sample, XXL reports. ...

Jessica Alba, Katie Holmes and Rosario Dawson celebrated the 10th anniversary of V-Day, a worldwide effort to stop violence against women and girls, at a private luncheon on Thursday, according to The Associated Press. A two-day event commemorating the anniversary will reportedly be held in April at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans. ... While we're talking Superdomes, TVGuide.com reports that Paula Abdul is in talks to perform live at the Super Bowl on February 3. She is reportedly rehearsing a music video for a duet with "American Idol" peer Randy Jackson, and the song is due to be the first single from Jackson's forthcoming solo LP, Music Club Vol. 1. According to TVGuide.com, footage from the Super Bowl performance will be folded into the video if Abdul does indeed perform at the football extravaganza. Tom Petty is headlining the Super Bowl halftime show. ...

Does Marilyn Manson reconciling with Twiggy Ramirez remind you of Robert Plant reuniting with Jimmy Page? Probably not, but the Antichrist Superstar recently told RollingStone.com that the Led Zeppelin comeback gig spurred him to make amends with Ramirez. "The turning point for me was when I went to see Led Zeppelin's reunion show, and I saw Jimmy Page and Robert Plant look at each other for a moment, and they probably said, 'Holy sh--, we wrote "Stairway to Heaven." ' ... I want to look at Twiggy and go, 'Holy sh--, we wrote "The Beautiful People." ' I called him, and I said, 'Let's go do this.' " How modest. ... Zooey Deschanel swung by NPR Southern California affiliate KCRW's "Open Road" recently, during which it was revealed that the actress is cobbling together an album with singer/songwriter M.

Gnarls Barkley frontman Cee-Lo made a guest turn recently on "The Boondocks" as Reverend Rollo Goodlove.

After a legal snafu that almost landed her back behind bars, former "American Idol" finalist Jessica Sierra is on her way to a rehab facility in California again. According to Florida Assistant State Attorney Pam Bondi, the troubled singer — who was ordered to spend a year in the Pasadena Recovery Center as a result of her recent arrest on disorderly intoxication charges — had her emergency probation transfer order rejected by the California Department of Probation. That resulted in the awkward situation of Sierra, 22, being out of jail but unable to begin rehab. "She was supposed to get on a plane yesterday, but the probation department in California wouldn't accept her transfer on an expedited basis because they take up to 45 days to review requests, so we had the unfortunate situation of a pregnant addict on the streets," Bondi said. Luckily, Sierra was able to get back into court Thursday (January 10), and the judge in the case gave her permission to travel immediately with her dad to Los Angeles and get picked up by a representative from the Center, where she will be allowed to stay until the probation transfer is approved. ...

Sims had hoped to do a reality show demonstrating what her daily life is like in Hollywood — including occasional appearances by her cousin, friend and former employer. A source close to the production said nothing had been taped yet, not even a pilot, and that Sims was only in the early stages of talks, with no deal yet struck with the Maloofs, who own the Sacramento Kings and Las Vegas' Palms Casino Resort, a frequent Spears haunt. But right now, the source said, "Britney needs to heal. She doesn't need another reality show." Spears last appeared in the reality program "Chaotic," which featured the early stages of her courtship with Kevin Federline. ...

I am not perfect, and I don't ever intend to do something that stupid again." The former "O.C." star, who was also arrested for driving without a valid license, added, "I usually try not to get behind the wheel." ... Despite protesting that the case was baseless, Avril Lavigne has reached a settlement with 1970s rock band the Rubinoos over claims that her hit "Girlfriend" plagiarized their 1979 single, "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend." The Canadian Press reports that a confidential settlement has been reached with the Rubinoos, who have agreed to drop their claims, but that the settlement does not necessarily indicate an admission of copyright infringement. ...

For a second-straight week, it's country — not Kanye — that leads the latest Billboard top 200, following what was an unusually heavy day for new releases, with 40 chart newcomers in all.

Last week, Reba McEntire's Reba Duets trounced the two biggest hip-hop releases of the year, earning the former sitcom star the first #1 debut of her 30-year career. On next week's chart, Reba's latest slips five spots to #6, leaving the peak position open for country croonin' trio Rascal Flatts and their latest, Still Feels Good, which sold more than 546,500 copies, according to the latest SoundScan totals. The album becomes the band's third-straight chart-crowning offering, following the successes of 2004's Feels Like Today (which generated week-one scans of 201,000) and 2006's Me and My Gang (with sales reported at 721,700).

As for Kanye West and his archenemy of three weeks back, 50 Cent, both artists remain in the chart's top 10, but for one, that might change soon. West's Graduation slips three places to #5 on next week's chart with 133,300 sold, while Fif's Curtis dropped from #3 to #9, with 70,900 scans. Curtis has yet to pass the 1 million-sold mark, while West's latest has sold more than 1.3 million copies.

In between the Flatts and West are three of the five new releases to crack the top 10, but none came close to touching this week's #1. Bowing at #2 with 281,400 sold is R&B songstress Keyshia Cole's new one, Just Like You, the follow-up to 2005's The Way It Is, which debuted at #6 with 88,500 scans. Behind her is the latest from the Foo Fighters, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, selling more than 168,200 copies. The band's mission for a #1 opening will continue, following failed attempts by 2002's One by One (which opened at #3 with 121,500 sold) and 2005's In Your Honor (#2 with 310,600). R&B, soul and jazz singer Jill Scott's The Real Thing: Words and Sounds Vol. 3 claims the chart's #4 position, having sold 148,500 units.

Right behind the soundtrack to Disney's "High School Musical 2," which sits at the #7 position with 84,900 sold, is the latest from R&B act Jagged Edge, Baby Makin' Project, which scanned more than 78,000 copies during its first week. Rounding out the top 10 is Kenny Chesney's Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates, which plummeted five spots with 68,200 sold.

Debuting at #11 with 51,000 copies snatched up is Queen Latifah's newest studio offering, Trav'lin' Light, while Melissa Etheridge's The Awakening follows at #13 with 47,700 sold. Joni Mitchell's Shine claims the #14 position, selling 40,150 copies, and right behind Joni at #15 is Chaka Khan's Funk This, with sales reported at 38,500. Tony Bennett Sings the Ultimate American Songbook, Vol. 1 opens at #16 with 36,200 scans, while Atlanta rapper Gorilla Zoe's Welcome to the Zoo sits in the #18 position with 35,200 sold.

One of the week's biggest surprises occupies the chart's #21 slot: Dethklok, the animated band from the Adult Swim cartoon "Metalocalypse," and their debut disc, Dethalbum. The set sold more than 33,700 copies, which was just enough to keep the David Crowder Band's Remedy at #22 with 32,300 sold. Folk rocker Iron and Wine's The Shepherd's Dog opens at #24 with sales coming in at around 31,600, while Southern metallers Down's first album in nearly five years, Down III: Over the Under, finishes at #26 with 29,200 scans. Trumpeter Chris Botti's Italia takes the #27 position with 28,800-plus sold.

The solo debut from the Black Eyes Peas' Will.I.Am, Songs About Girls, opens at #38 on next week's chart, thanks to sales of more than 20,800. The Cheetah Girls' TGC follows at #44 with 18,900 sold, while rapper Hell Rell's For the Hell of It comes in at #55 with 15,600 scans. All Time Low's So Wrong, It's Right bows at #62 with 13,800 copies sold, and at #69, with 12,300 sold, it's Gucci Mane's Trap-A-Thon.

Steve Earle's Washington Square Serenade opens at #79, having sold close to 9,600 units, while Swedish metallers Arch Enemy's Rise of the Tyrant follows at #84 with 8,900 scans. Hurt's Vol. II just misses the top 100, coming in at #101 with 7,200 sold, while Goin' Home: A Tribute to Fats Domino, a two-disc compilation featuring John Lennon, Elton John, Joss Stone, Corinne Bailey Rae, Neil Young, Norah Jones and Ben Harper, finishes out the week at #104, selling 6,800 copies. Folk rocker Devendra Banhart's Smokey Rolls Down Thunder Canyon bows at #115 with 6,300 sold, and at #12 with 6,000 scans is The Best of Donell Jones.

The Very Best of the Doors, a career-spanning collection commemorating the band's 40th anniversary, finishes at #129, selling 5,700 units, while Swedish singer/songwriter José Gonz&#225lez's In Our Nature claims the #132 position with 5,600 scans. Wolfgang's Big Night Out, the seventh studio album from American swing revivalists the Brian Setzer Orchestra, opens at #141 with sales of 5,300 and change, while indie rockers the Weakerthans' Reunion Tour debuts at #181 with 4,100 sold. Lastly, opening at #186 with 4,000 scans, is the latest from Meshell Ndegeocello, The World Has Made Me the Man of My Dreams.

WANTAGH, New York — The Tommy Hilfiger at Jones Beach Theater was only about half full Tuesday night for the traveling Sugar Water Festival, but that half a crowd roared like a full house for singers Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Queen Latifah and Floetry.

The latter, billed as the evening's special guests, only got about 20 minutes of stage time but made the best of it by singing their hits and some covers by the likes of Mary J. Blige. The headliners then all came out together to welcome the crowd — which included actress Natalie Portman — and then Badu and Scott cleared the way for Latifah.

Backed by a band and a DJ, the Queen started off soul singing and even brought out her father, "Mr. O," to help sing a song she said she heard around the house growing up: Barbara Lewis' "Hello Stranger."

"Seems like a mighty long time," Papa Owens sang to his daughter, who said, "Thank the Lord for Daddy." When her pops left, Dana Owens transformed into a familiar mode, the rapstress Queen Latifah.

"The Queen is ready to get hyped," she said. "Y'all remember Queen Latifah, right?" She then took people back to the early '90s with "Latifah's Had It Up 2 Here."

"I'mma hit y'all with another one," she said, segueing into "Ladies First" by saying, "I been all around the world, and I always demand the respect of ladies first."

After going back into some selections from last year's The Dana Owens Album, the Queen hit the floor and walked through the crowd while rapping. She said she wanted to find out who'd come to see her.

Jill Scott, up next, had no problem seeing who was showering her with adoration. The crowd was standing on its feet when she commenced her set with "Golden," and she only gained momentum when she took things back to "The Way," a hit from her first album, Who Is Jill Scott?: Words and Sounds, Vol. 1.

"Is it the way, you love me, baby?" she and her fans sang.

"You got me trembling, vibrating all over," she continued. " Get chills up my spine/ Can we do it one more time?"

Radiating a born-to-sing persona, Scott hit notes high and low, going operatic at points and of course beaming with soul throughout. "I wrote this when I was princess," Scott said after performing "Do You Remember," telling her faithful that her mother said she had to earn her "queendom."

Scott then sang "Gettin' in the Way" and acted out the confrontation she has in the song: "Suga honey girl, fly, fly away/ I been a lady up to now, don't know how much more I can take/ Queens shouldn't swing if you know what I mean/ But I'm bout to take my earrings off, get me some Vaseline."

Jill ended with "He Loves Me (Lyzel in E Flat)," performing with nothing more than a spotlight shining on her and the breeze from the nearby water blowing through her reddish Afro.

Erykah Badu came on almost as unceremoniously as "Jilly from Philly" had left, without even an introduction. In near darkness, she simply walked up to the mic, and after a few deep breaths, with both hands raised, the R&B rebel began singing "Green Eyes" from 2000's Mama's Gun.

As Badu moved into "Cleva," it was clear the music was taking over her. "All right, all right, all right, all right," she kept singing.

"Damn, I broke it down early in the show," she said, almost laughing to herself.

Things turned more serious later, when she delivered "Other Side of the Game," from her '97 debut, Baduizm. Erykah didn't just sing, she took the crowd on a journey into the life of a woman who is conflicted over her love for a drug dealer. And just in case anyone didn't understand, she explained that the line about her man's "complex occupation" meant he was "selling dope."

The song's sequel, "Danger," followed. "They got the block on lock/ The trunk stay locked/ Glock on cock/ The block stay hot/ Block on lock/ The trunk stay locked/ Glock on cock/ The block stay hot."

"Police play dirty," she continued. "Our man's in jail. ... You gotta move to the trap." She ended by yelling, "F--- the police!"

A personal Badu narrative came into play after "Back in the Day (Puff)." The Texas native talked about how she smoked a lot of weed when she was younger ("I used to wake up early in the morning like Snoop Dogg"), but it caused her to lose her ambition.

Badu said she quit smoking and started drinking but still felt an emptiness in her life. Eventually a voice told her to stop drinking, and she moved on to another addiction: a boyfriend who bought her everything she wanted. Still there was a void, and the voice told her to get rid of her man. Confused, she shed all her vices and the voice finally told her to "pack light." This led into her hit "Bag Lady," which is about women finding themselves.

The show ended as it started, with Badu, Scott and Latifah onstage together. This time, though, they paid tribute to Luther Vandross by singing "Never Too Much" (see "R&B Singer Luther Vandross Dead At 54"). Latifah and Badu even began beat boxing, and all three played around with some freestyle raps.

The Sugar Water Festival moves on to Boston Wednesday night (July 13) and runs through August 10.

Whose outfit fell apart on the carpet? Who did Kanye West get advice from at the end of the night? Which punk rocker does Jill Scott think "has it going on?" MTV News saw a lot of stuff that escaped the cameras at this year's awards.

Here are some highlights:

One of the first stars to walk the carpet was Jadakiss, sporting a three-piece suit and arriving with his mom and dad, who looked equally sharp (see "Celebs Keep It Down-To-Earth On Grammy Carpet (They Wore A Lot Of Brown, Anyway)"). Spotting another early arrival, Jada threw a "What's up?" to TV personality Star Jones as she and husband Al Reynolds walked past.

Slipknot walked the carpet wearing their signature masks, and gave the cameras a very metal greeting — the finger. This being a special occasion, the bandmembers donned black suits, and one upped his style a notch by carrying a pimp cane. Jadakiss, standing with his crew near the masked men, asked, "Who are these n---as?" One of Jada's people clued him in, and the rapper responded, "Oh, they gonna win the most tonight." (Click here to see who won what.)

Latin/jazz/funk outfit Ozomatli turned the carpet into their own personal stage when, at each stop, they performed part of their song "Saturday Night," singing and banging out the rhythm on the wooden barricade.

Although it is the title of her award-winning 2000 debut, nowadays the last question you want to ask Philly's R&B "it" Girl is Who Is Jill Scott?

"People ask me that all the time when I first meet them, and it really gets on my nerves," Scott grumbled. "To be honest, sometimes it makes me want to hang up the phone!"

Despite the serene, soulful vibe the singer gives off in most of her music, you don't want to get on Scott's bad side. If pushed, she just might flash back to her younger days and be tempted to whoop your ass right there on the spot.

"I've done a lot of fighting in my time, and I'm down to do some more," the Grammy-nominated artist said, reflecting on growing up in the projects of North Philadelphia. "I don't want to, but you know, there's just certain things that you can't sit down and take. I'm better with my tongue now than I used to be. Before, it would just take a few words and fists were flying."

Fortunately for fans, Scott has better things to do with her time these days than serve knuckle sandwiches. Having just dropped her second studio album, Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds, Vol. 2., which debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 this month, the self-described "street girl" is too busy enjoying herself: She recently shed 35 pounds, married her longtime sweetie, Lyzel, and fulfilled a lifelong dream, opening a concert for the Great Purple One in her hometown.

"I am a huge Prince fan," Scott said giddily over the phone from downtown Los Angeles, where she was shooting the video for the follow-up to her first single, "Golden," a shiny, infectious tune about living life to the fullest. "It's a very rare thing for him to have people open for him. It's been the Time and Sheila E., and that's about it. Building a relationship with him has been like a dream come true. I've been looking for a mentor, and I feel like I have that in him." Scott, who's been busy penning a forthcoming book of poetry titled "The Minutes, the Moments, the Hours," says that other collaborations with Prince may be in the works. "We've been talking about doing a few things together. I have something for him to do, and I think he has a few things for me to do, too. I'm really excited about what the future holds."

Like many of the most personal songs on the singer's often poignant and mellifluous new offering, the second single, "Whatever," is inspired by Scott's muse, her co-manager and husband of the past two years. "Not to sound arrogant, but Lyzel and I know that we are in some ways a beacon for folks who don't believe in love anymore," Scott said. "He is my soul mate, my equal, and I wish everyone could have that.

"The video for 'Whatever' is kind of a documentary in a way," she continued. "It's showing that love can last. Not just in your early 20s or your late 30s, but in your 50s, 60s and 70s. There's an awful myth out there that when you get married, love and lovemaking fade. It's not true. When you're really in love with somebody, the experience is far more superior than a thousand shags and a thousand funky hotel rooms. It's magic. You know, you don't need a lot of chocolate to know how good it is."

The clip, shot by director Lenny Bass (Nappy Roots, Craig David), takes place in a 150-year-old mansion in downtown L.A. "The video is so pretty," the singer said. "It's very colorful. The character is there with her husband, and basically, we're showing how they progress in their lives together from about age 30 to 65. The video showcases a part of the black family that you just don't see enough of. There are black marriages that are still going strong 40 years later. You hear so many myths that there aren't any people making it, but there are. As long as there are some, there's hope."

The voluptuous Scott, who plans to embark on her own "Big and Beautiful" tour next year, is perhaps the strongest testament to the hope she sings about in her music. Although she's now blissfully married, Scott says her deeply intimate lyrics are probably the reason why so many fans approach her on the street and tell her their relationship woes. Listening intently and sometimes crying along with them, Scott says she feels their pain and frustration deeply because she once walked in their shoes.

"Heartbreak was the impetus to me writing poems and music in the first place," she explained. "Over the years I had my heart broken so badly that if I didn't find a way to get all the pain out, I was going to lose my mind. I was crazy! Like, wanting to slash tires and smash car windows. Crazy! I was so hurt that I had to write. Then I went to poetry readings and shared my work, and it was like, damn, people really understand where I'm coming from. I was like, OK, this is not only for myself, it's for other people, too. Fortunately a lot of those painful days are behind me. When I'm going through something, I've learned to nurture myself, and I stay surrounded by people who love me. Now I can definitely say I'm living one of the best periods of my life."

Perhaps motivated by his seize-the-day title, Tim McGraw fans helped Live Like You Were Dying top the Billboard albums chart for a second straight week.

The country singer's eighth album sold more than 227,000 copies, according to SoundScan, to land at #1 on next week's chart and enjoy a two-week total just shy of 1 million copies.

McGraw barely managed to stave off the #2 album, Genius Loves Company, by the late soul pioneer Ray Charles. Three months after his death, Charles' collection of duets with Norah Jones, Diana Krall, Elton John, Willie Nelson and others sold more than 202,000 copies.

R&B singer Jill Scott's third album, Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2, will come in at #3, with more than 192,000 copies sold, followed by LL Cool J's The DEFinition at #4. The veteran rapper's 11th album sold more than 173,000 copies. By comparison, his previous release, 2002's 10, sold more than 154,000 copies its first week to debut at #2.

Now That's What I Call Music! 16 will hold its place at #5 after selling another 162,000 copies, though its weekly draw is about 25,000 copies less than the week before. Conversely, Prince's Musicology falls two spots, from #7 to #9, though the 87,000 copies it sold last week mark an 11 percent improvement.

The rest of next week's top 10 will find R. Kelly's Happy People/ U Saved Me falling four spots to #6 (while selling more than 126,000 copies), Young Buck's Straight Outta Cashville taking an identical dip to #7 (114,000), Ashlee Simpson's Autobiography slipping two spots to #8 (112,000), and Mase's Welcome Back dropping six places to #10.

Without the objects of their admiration getting much press — and even less that could be considered favorable — the Juggalos united to lift the Insane Clown Posse's Hell's Pit to a #12 debut. Björk's sixth album, Medùlla, will land at #14, three steps higher than Papa Roach's Getting Away With Murder. The Passion of the Christ: Songs, which includes the first solo offering from former Creed singer Scott Stapp alongside contributions from Lauryn Hill and others, will land at #37.

VMA Moonmen and performances also prove lucrative on next week's chart. Usher, one of last Sunday's stars, got a small retail goose for Confessions, which will move down two spots to #11 but sold about 6,000 more copies than a week earlier. Winner and performer Alicia Keys will move up three spots to #25. Kanye West enjoyed the biggest VMA boost, however: The College Dropout nearly doubled its weekly sales on the heels of his performance and will advance 19 places.

Yellowcard's Ocean Avenue will move up seven spots to #31; Terror Squad's True Story will advance nine spots to #56; Jay-Z's The Black Album will leap 23 spots to #85; Outkast's Speakerboxxx/ The Love Below will step up a dozen spots to #90; Stevie Wonder's The Definitive Collection will move up 25 spots to #125, and Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz's Kings of Crunk will move from #169 to #128.

Albums that re-entered the top 200 after having left the chart last week include Lenny Kravitz's Baptism (#159) and No Doubt's The Singles 1992-2003 (#179).

Other notable debuts on next week's chart include Lamb of God's Ashes of the Wake at #27, the "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" soundtrack at #43, the Libertines' self-titled second LP at #111, Mastodon's Leviathan at #139 and Danzig's Circle of Snakes at #183.

The cool James the ladies love is back with his follow-up to 2002's 10. The DEFinition, which features characteristic tracks like "I'm About to Get Her" and "Shake It Baby," is the smooth-talking rapper's 11th album.

Icelandic songstress Björk's new album lays its focus squarely on the textures and tones of the human voice. Medúlla is performed almost entirely a cappella and features the vocal talents of former Roots member Rahzel, Robert Wyatt, ex-Faith No More singer Mike Patton and a 20-piece choir.

The posthumous Ray Charles release Genius Loves Company is the last studio album the singer recorded before his death on June 10, and his first LP since 1996's Strong Love Affair. A duets album, Genius Loves Company sees the legendary soul man paired with artists including Norah Jones, Elton John, BB King, James Taylor, Willie Nelson and Van Morrison.

Soul singer Jill Scott released the first volume of this week's release, Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2, in 2000 and slipped a live album, Experience: Jill Scott, in between. The Philly-bred singer got her big break singing on the Roots track "You Got Me" in 1999.

Hard rockers Papa Roach will release their third major-label album, Getting Away With Murder, while the slightly older, way harder rockers Danzig release their latest, Circle of Snakes.

P.O.D., Scott Stapp, Lauren Hill, MxPx and others have all composed tracks for Passion of the Christ: Songs, an album of songs inspired by the Mel Gibson film. On the more evil side of things, A Perfect Circle, Rob Zombie, Slipknot, Killswitch Engage and others lent tracks to the soundtrack from "Resident Evil: Apocalypse."

And for your weekly dose of comedy, check out Chris Rock's latest DVD, "Never Scared," his fourth HBO special, which hits stores this week.

Also out this week are albums by the Libertines (The Libertines), Beatnuts (Milk Me) and the Insane Clown Posse (Hell's Pit: Version 1, Hell's Pit: Version 2).
