Katy Rose grew up quick in Los Angeles, the daughter of session keyboardist Kim Bullard and a backup singer mother. She began to write songs in her early teens, blending traditional adolescent angst over boys and social drama with a fashionably jaded cynicism perfect for the youth-skewed climate of 21st century pop culture.
