While we all know her as J.Lo, Jennifer Lopez might soon be known as Lola with the release of her upcoming, yet-untitled album. The song "Fresh Out the Oven" — which is speculated to be the lead single and features rapper Pitbull — hit the Web on Wednesday morning (October 7), along with an online promotional campaign introducing Lopez's Lola alter ego.

"Now don't tell me that you love me to get with this/ You say you stay forever/ But it don't make sense," she sings during the Neptunes-produced song's first verse.

In September, MTV Tr3s spoke to Pitbull about his collaboration with Lopez. "Definitely something very, very sexy," Pit described of the track. "Produced by Pharrell, look out for it. It's kind of like eyes wide shut." He also confirmed that the video for the song has already been shot.

A Web site and Twitter account were launched introducing Lola. With the tagline "Who Is Lola?," the site includes a video of a woman, presumably Lopez, dancing seductively against a flickering black-and-white backdrop. The clip also features a snippet of "Fresh Out the Oven." Various thumbnails with ruby-red lips line the bottom of the site, where additional clips will be released. The singer's last studio album, Brave, was released in 2007.

Lopez is in talks to appear on "Saturday Night Live" as the host and musical guest. In a recent interview with TheDeadbolt.com, "SNL" castmember Kenan Thompson revealed that Lopez will be appearing on the late-night sketch show's 35th season.

After seven years off the charts, Whitney Houston has proven she's still got it. The R&B diva will debut at #1 on next week's Billboard 200 albums chart with her comeback album, I Look to You. The LP notched 305,000 in sales last week (and 6,000 copies were sold before its official release), a strong showing that handily outperformed 2002's Just Whitney, which managed just 205,000 in its first week for a #9 debut.

There is plenty of company in the top 10 this week for Houston, according to numbers provided by Nielsen SoundScan, with five other debuts. Trey Songz comes in at a solid #3 with Ready (131,000). The Juggalos came out for makeup rappers Insane Clown Posse, whose Bang! Pow! Boom! is #4 (50,000). Hard-rockers Chevelle have a respectable debut at #6 with Sci-Fi Crimes (46,000), rapper Pitbull pulls into #8 with Rebelution (41,000), and emo rockers the Used hit #10 with Artwork (35,000).

Other than that, the rest of the top 10 is mostly unchanged: Miley Cyrus climbs up a notch to #2 with her Wal-Mart exclusive EP Time of Our Lives (153,000); Colbie Caillat drops four spots to #5 with her second album, Breakthrough (47,000); Kings of Leon bump down three spots to #7 with the still-strong Only by the Night (45,000) and Taylor Swift's equally indomitable Fearless holds at #9 (35,000).

Just outside the top 10, the Black Eyed Peas' The E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies) falls to #11 (34,000) as it passes the platinum mark three months after its release. Classic rockers the Black Crowes land at #12 with their double live/studio disc Before the Frost ... Until the Freeze (32,000), and Young Chris debuts at #19 with Man I Want to Be (26,000).

It was a brief sojourn in the top 10 for English alt-popster Imogen Heap, whose Ellipse shed nearly 70 percent of its first-week business to drop 24 spots to #29 (15,000). The Josh Homme-produced third effort from the Arctic Monkeys, Humbug, got the cold shoulder, as it dropped more than 60 percent from its debut, swooning 35 spots to #50 in week two (10,000). And rapper Beanie Sigel's Broad Street Bully didn't have much punch, debuting at #77 (6,000).

Next week's charts should be on fire, with the chart debut of the Beatles reissues, Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3, and new ones from Boys Like Girls, Raekwon and Phish.

Pitbull has come a long way from battling MCs in the back alleys of Miami. After a decade in the music game, Pit is a bigger star than he's ever been. His "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)" is currently a top-20 single and "Hotel Room Service" is #10 in the country. His album Rebelution just arrived in stores and, regardless of the sales tally next week, Pit has evolved into an international star.

"As far as my career goes ... when this tsunami that's about to come in [arrives], we're prepared for it," he said about his new level of fame. "All this has been an experiment, an education. A lot of people experience fame, money or fortune and they're not prepared for it. It is something that's a drug when they're not prepared for it. So everything that happened to me, the days with Luke, what happened with TVT Records, what we went through with TVT and how we fought our way out of that situation now to be business partners with one of the biggest record companies in the world — it's definitely a blessing. If you continue to work hard, let that be the fuel to your fire. We've survived."

Pit says his international appeal is due to picking up inspiration from his travels around the world. But when he tests his material out at home, he knows what his smashes are going to be.

"Simplicity is the key to success," he explained. "My biggest A&Rs are my kids. If I see my kids singing it, I say, 'Uh oh, it's a problem.'"

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico — The summer concert season closed out with a bang at the Journal Pavilion on Sunday night, as Florida kings Rick Ross, Pitbull, and Flo Rida filled out a roster that included Bun B, Warren G, Twista and headliner Busta Rhymes at the "New Mexico Takeover 4."

Bun B was one of the first big names to hit the stage, tantalizing the crowd with way-back UGK hits such as Jay-Z's "Big Pimpin'," then forwarding to current classics like "International Player's Anthem (I Choose You)."

Backstage, Warren G and Rick Ross plotted future collaborations. "I need some of them beats," Ross, surrounded by the Carol City Cartel and Masspike Miles, said to Warren in his dressing room with a grin. Meanwhile Warren, who had performed some of his classics like "Regulate" and "This DJ," talked about working with Michael Jackson. The West Coast producer said he has three songs in the can from years back with MJ, however, Jackson controlled the music and Warren has never gotten his hands on the finished songs.

Later Ross took the stage with his swagger-filled brand of gangsta music.

"I need silence for one second," the Boss said early in his set. "I gotta talk a little business." All of a sudden, as if on command, it started raining. "I heard it ain't nothing but hustlas out here."

This led, of course, to "Hustlin'." Later came "We Takin' Over" and "Push It."

"I love it! The weather is beautiful," Ross said during "Yacht Club."

The show stayed Miami, with Flo Rida getting loud love from the spectators with his hits such as "Low" and "Sugar." Flo's finale was "Right Round" where he rode on a bodyguard's shoulders through the crowd while he rapped.

However, Pitbull — whose new LP, Rebelution, drops this week — was probably the star of the night. The largely Hispanic crowd sang and danced along with songs such as "Bojangles," "Toma" and "Pull Up."

"I know you want me, you know I want ya!" they sang along heavily on "I Know You Want Me." "Hotel Room" was his closer.

Pitbull was a tough act to follow, but the mighty Busta Rhymes kept fans on their feet with his set, which featured hits like "Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Can See," "Fire It Up," "Break Ya Neck," "Arab Money" and many others. Each record was performed with so much energy that you would have sworn it was Busta's last-ever concert.

"Pass the Courvoisier" ended the show, with Bus giving a champagne bath to the front row while Spliff Star showered people on the side of the stage.

When Pitbull punched a disruptive fan during a performance in Colorado back in May, the video clip showcasing the rapper's right hook went viral. But the Miami rapper regrets that the incident has overshadowed the more positive contributions he's pursued during his career.

"I'm involved in charities and in the community; I got foundations," Pit told MTV News. "I'm always giving away turkeys, presents, whatever it may be. We just gave away money for Radio Lollipop in Miami. And no one cares about it. I knock some guy out, everyone wants to know about it. That's just the way it works. It was kind of fortunate, but unfortunate to figure it out that way."

It's not always that way, though. The rapper was finally recognized for his community efforts when he was awarded the key to his hometown on Wednesday in a ceremony officiated by Miami Commissioner Thomas Regalado, according to The Associated Press.

"Pitbull not only lives in Miami, but he's been traveling the country and the world sharing a positive message of Miami," Regalado said during the festivities. "So, we should honor not only the dignitaries that visit, but those individuals who make a positive impact on the city."

The honor is only fitting for the rapper who calls himself Mr. 305. Wearing a three-piece suit, Pit told the crowd that the city was instrumental in building his character and taught him lessons about life.

"I can't help but keep staring at it, because it's something I've worked so hard for," Pitbull said, while holding the gold key. "I'm very passionate about Miami."

Pitbull is currently promoting his next album, Rebulution, his major-label debut set for release September 1 on Polo Grounds Music through J Records/RCA Music Group. The lead single, "Hotel Room Service," is currently #10 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, making it the rapper's second consecutive top 10 hit following "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)."

NEW YORK — When Pitbull made his first top-10 hit, "I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)," a Dominican duo who weren't even thinking about the Billboard charts powered the idea.

"The idea for [that song] is obviously from a riddim called '75 Brazil Street,' but the idea really came from a Dominican guy, El Cata, and the other one is Omega," the Miami MC explained to MTV News. "They're both huge on the mambo side of things down in the Dominican Republic. So he had a record, playing around, singing, 'I know you want me.' So what they do is they record their records while they're performing. So they'll be performing at a club and improvise something and really throw it away. And I told him, 'Hey, dog, lemme hold that.' He ain't even know what hit him [or how big the song would get]. I gave him a percentage for that, put it out, and now he's like, 'Oye, hermanito, I got these hooks. You need another hook? I'll give you another hook. I love you, you love me. How you wanna do it?' So he's happy.

"But that's basically how I get inspired with music," the Cuban-American lyricist continued. "Go around the world and see different ideas that someone hasn't fully maximized. It was fun."

Luckily for Pit, he didn't have to travel too far for his current hit, "Hotel Room Service." The track was produced by Grammy winner and fellow Floridian Jim Jonsin, who is serving as executive producer of Pitbull's forthcoming album Rebelution. The project is slated for release September 1 on Pitbull's Mr. 305 Records through RCA Music Group. It's Pit's major-label debut after putting out three albums on independent label TVT Records.

"This album is gonna be just the way I'm seeing things," he told MTV News in May.

MIAMI — The world-famous South Beach strip — Miami, Florida, U.S.A.! Ocean Drive to be exact. When you think about the gorgeousness of the city, Ocean Drive is everything you imagine it to be. Celebrities, hot chicks, the best food, exotic drinks, music, partying, guys with guns (guns as in muscles, not firearms — although they can get it poppin' down there) and traffic-stopping cars (although traffic moves at a snail's pace on Ocean, but you get the point).

"We're on Ocean Drive, South Beach," Pitbull said as he drove his pristine Benz, giving MTV News a tour of his city. "Right there is Versace's mansion, where he officially got [murdered], poor guy," he said, pointing to a home so huge, they turned it into a hotel. "Not the brightest side of South Beach .

"Being from the crib, being from Miami, this is like Hollywood for us. That's why we always say, 'the other side of the bridge,' " continued Pit, who grew up in much more meager surroundings. "Ocean Drive can show you how broke you really are at certain points. This is for the big boys."

As a teen, Pit witnessed his hometown really become a darling of the music industry, with artists and bigwig execs heading down during Memorial Day weekend.

"It was definitely a place you could get your music out," Pit said, driving past South Beach Studios, where he worked with producer Pharrell Williams to record some of the songs that were featured in "Fast & Furious." And the tradition continues. "You could tell what record would be the next big record. It would officially get broken during Memorial Day weekend. All the record executives would be down here. The music business is different now. The money they was making then! The money they were spending then. You'd see Bentleys, helicopters, videos, women. It was crazy. You definitely might feed into the facade. I was 17 when all that happened. I'm 28 now."

Pit said he would have loved to get discovered by one of the hot labels at the time, but it just wasn't his destiny. He did, however, grab the attention of Murder Inc.'s CEO.

"I definitely wanted to be a part of Roc-A-Fella or Murder Inc. or Ruff Ryders. I had got into a battle with Drag-On during Super Bowl weekend on a DMX video shoot. That's when I met Irv Gotti. Irv came down Memorial Day weekend. I met with him a few times, but at the time I obviously wasn't ready for it. Not talent-wise, definitely not business-wise. I learned a whole lot from it."

The most valuable lesson Gotti dropped on him was to concentrate less on kicking rhymes off the dome and start actually writing records. "Freestyling don't make money," I.G. told him. Pit listened and obviously hasn't had any trouble making hit records for the past half a decade. His music has been embraced on an international stage.

Pit, whose parents are Cuban, got his break under the wing of Luther Campbell, but developed his style by studying all the genres of music that hit his city, from freestyle to bass and then eventually hip-hop. He also has been influenced by music from other cultures, such as Haitian and Puerto Rican.

"Right here, this used to be Luke Records," he said, passing an old building. "Right here on 12th, between 20th and Collins. Now I guess it's a furniture store. I used to hang out in that alley. I would pull up with a Cadillac Seville I bought for $400."

His Benz cost quite a bit more than that. Selling records independently the last five years on TVT Records worked out well for the most part — although he has some real horror stories of business gone wrong. But Pit is excited to embark on the next phase of his career.

"This is the beginning of Pitbull," he said. "This is my chance. I'm in the major league now. I've cut a deal, partnered up with a major label, which is Sony through Polo Grounds/ Mr. 305 Inc. I've also partnered up with Sony Latin for a deal [for an album] in Spanish. I'm no longer an artist, I'm a business partner. I'm in business with these folks. I've always been independent, but I've created this foundation and fanbase."

Pit's new album is called Rebelution and drops sometime in late summer or early fall.

"Now I'm working with producers," he said with a smile. "I get a chance to work with Jim Jonsin. Obviously I'm gonna be in with Lil Jon the Diaz Brothers, the Neptunes, Play-N-Skillz. The list goes on. I can create this music where I can make [the album like a] Now! hits record. I'm not just throwing a record out there to make sure we stay relevant in the game like I was doing on TVT. I'm excited. I finally get a chance to hit one out the park. I'mma make sure it's a grand slam. This is the one right here. It's gonna be that one with God's help, obviously."

When making it rain goes wrong, Pitbull reacts. Amateur video of Pit onstage in Colorado recently hit the Net, showing the rapper punching out a fan. The scene starts with Pit entertaining the audience, when a man in the crowd started throwing money on the stage. Pit pulled the man onto the stage and he started throwing money in Pit's face, and Pitbull immediately knocked the guy down with a punch to the face.

"They don't show the whole clip of what happened," Pit told us Wednesday (May 27) of the video. "Before the song 'Bojangles,' I play a whole set and I only get three breaks. I was going into 'Bojangles' and this mutha----a had already made it rain, like, three times. He threw a gang of money in the air and I was scooting the money, giving it to the crowd. I didn't touch the money, but I was scooting it, giving it to the crowd."

Pit said he had enough and gave the guy a verbal warning from the stage.

"I told him, 'Look, dog, you already got three strikes. Don't make it rain no more. I'm telling you. I ain't gonna talk about it no more, I'm just gonna be about it. Don't do it no more,' " he recalled. "Boom, left it alone. I started 'Bojangles,' then about a minute later, he comes to the other side of the stage and throws money again."

From there, Pit actually extended his hand and pulled the man onstage.

"I'm bringing him onstage with no intention of doing nothing to him," he explained. "I'm bringing him onstage to say, 'Look, this the clown that's gonna f--- up your show. I'm getting rid of him. I'm letting y'all know right now. Don't nobody else make it rain.' When I bring the mutha----a up on the stage, he throws a wad of money in my face. When he did that, that's when natural reaction ... natural instinct kicked in."

Pit laid the guy out with one punch.

"No way, shape or form was that my intention. It was more like a reaction, self-defense," he explained. "Mind you, I've been in shows before and I done got hit with a bottle. Any time I see anything moving onstage, I'm cautious about it. You feel me? As soon as he threw that money, it was on from there."

The man was escorted out and the concert continued after Pit apologized to the crowd for the disturbance.

"That was the beginning of the show — five or eight minutes into the show," he said. "I have a hour-and-15-minute set. ... He made me feel [wild] like I felt back in the day. I'm in a profession now. I'm here to entertain. ... I heard he was a fan and he drove from a long way. When I saw the video, I said, 'Hell nah. He knew exactly what he was doing.' In any country when you throw something in somebody's face, it's disrespectful. When I looked at the tape, you could see he did that and was waiting like, 'What now? Yeah mutha----a, I just threw a wad in your face.' "

Fortunately for Pit's fans, the incident hasn't slowed him down — he has a slew of summer radio shows lined up for the next three months.

Pitbull's next album Rebelution is slated to drop later summer or early fall. The Miami MC just released the mixtape Sh---in' on the Industry.

Apologies for no main pick Monday. Hey, guys, we were on vacation like most of you! Even the diligent duo (a trio, whenever J. Rod comes through) need a break sometime. But we promise we'll make up for it during the next few days. And next Monday, we have a blockbuster. So there it is. A little bit of Pitbull, some Killa Cam and on Wednesday, we're gonna get ignorant!

Don't Sleep: Necessary Notables

Mixtape: The Last Dragon

Executive Producer: Duke Da God

Conspicuously Absent: Hell Rell, J.R. Writer and Freekey Zekey are on the mixtape. Would have loved to see Jim Jones and Juelz, but we heard you, Cam — no reunion.

Starring: Cam'ron, Lil Wayne and others

Essential Info: Duke included the Cam'ron and Jadakiss record "Let's Talk About It" on his mixtape, although you didn't get the duet on Cam's Crime Pays album. At least not yet. Cam is planning to re-release the album in July with a couple of new tracks. The new version will coincide with the release of his movie "The Bakery." This summer, he also says to look for the U.N.'s debut.

"U.N. album, it was supposed to come out August 5th, but I wanna come out around the same time as some people I'm in competition with," he explained to us. "I wanna wait for their date and put that [U.N.] album out the same date their album comes out."

When asked what rival crew he was talking about, Killa declined to say.

"Whatever date you see the U.N. album and somebody else's coming out, you'll get a whiff of [who I'm talking about]. I hear [the other crew's] coming out September or something. If I don't get no whiff of when the album is coming out, then we'll stick to our original date and put the U.N. album out, like, August 5th or August 12th. Then I'm putting out another [solo] album in December, definitely."

So far, Cam's prized member of the U.N. is fellow Harlem native Vado. "Vado got a lot of hits. We got a few other acts we working with," Killa said. "To keep it 100, Vado got the streets in a smash, and Harlem, he's got an unbelievable buzz. Everybody in Harlem already know what it is. He's got the 'hood in a frenzy. I'm trying to bring the next new stuff out."

Mixtape: Sh---in' on the Industry

Starring: Pitbull

100 Percent Fronter Proof: "Watch It Drop," "Cocaine Cowboy" (he raps from the perspective of the coke!) and "Dope Ball"

Essential Info: Yeah, Pit's mixtape title is arrogant as hell, but Chico always has a reason to smile. Pit is one of the bona fide kings of the club. Every year, you can expect Pit to drop at least a couple of monsters that reach past the urban soil and crush the Latin and mainstream markets. You heard his songs all throughout "Fast & Furious.

Now that he's free from TVT Records, Pit said there's nothing holding him back. Pit's LP Rebelution is set for either August or September.

"This album is gonna be just the way I'm seeing things," he said. "Whether it be hip-hop, the world, whether it be just my city in general, you're gonna see I have a lot of different takes on this album. I didn't know if I wanted to do a double album, give them a whole album of different types of records — conscious records on one end, then the whole club, high-energy on one end. There's a whole lot of things I want to say that I been holding back, because I felt the last label couldn't really handle what I had to bring to the table.

Lil Wayne's current single is one of the biggest songs from Tha Carter III, but the Fireman almost didn't get "Got Money" — the record was originally intended to be a Pitbull collaboration with T-Pain.

"Shout-out to Pitbull, he helped us put it together," Skillz — of the production team behind the track, Play N Skillz — said of the cut. "It's the biggest record out right now, and we're making it rain."

"I did the record back when I was on TVT [Records], and unfortunately TVT didn't clear the song," Pitbull explained recently in Houston.

"That's a crazy story," Play, the more vocal of the duo, said Monday. "We went to the West Coast and demoed the record with the skeleton hook on the track. ... Going a little further back than that, when we first made the beat in New York, [the studio] lost the beat. Skillz is a big melody guy, so the next morning he came back and remade the melody. We remade the beat in five to 10 minutes."

Play N Skillz sat on the hook of "Got Money" for three months, until they began working on Pitbull's The Boatlift album in Miami. They played Pit the beat, and he went wild.

"He jumped on top of the couch and was going crazy," Play added. "He was like, 'Man, I'mma get T-Pain or Akon on the record.' " Obviously it didn't work out for Pit, but "Got Money" went through a few more MCs on its way to Wayne.

"We played it for Slim Thug; Slim didn't record it," Play explained. "Plies passed up on it. Rick Ross passed on it. Tum Tum recorded on it, but it didn't work out. Pain's people reached out and said, 'We're taking the song back with our hook. We're gonna give it to a really big artist.' They ended up telling me it was Wayne. No problem. A week later, I get an MP3, and Wayne is spazzing out on the record.

"Pain changed the hook up some," the producer continued. "It was the same topic — it was about the money, the original one. He just changed the hook up some."

Play N Skillz — whose past smashes include Chamillionaire's "Ridin' Dirty" and Kia Shine's "Krispy" — are hoping the success of "Got Money" will continue their wave of hit records. They're scheduled to work with Fabolous and have already laid new tracks for their own sophomore album, Out Tha Box, as well as LPs by Hurricane Chris, Paul Wall, Slim from 112 and 50 Cent's upcoming Before I Self Destruct.

"Sha Money XL is very involved in the new project," Skillz said. "Everything is third-person with 50. He's not really a guy who goes in the studio with the producers. We send him the joints."

"Our rhythm on the drum pattern, we had to switch it up a little bit," Play said. "[50 Cent] said he wanted to go back to the boom-bap hard-core gangsta stuff. We tried to fit his style. I think 50 is gonna come back. He's a hitmaker. He's written a lot of hits for a lot of people. Sha told me [50's] getting back in the Get Rich or Die Tryin' mode. 50 is a person who doesn't like to know how the producer is. He just likes to go in with the music. But Sha Money XL is going crazy for the tracks we sent."
