Pink Confirms She's Pregnant

'I'm eating for two these days,' she said on Wednesday's 'Ellen DeGeneres Show.'

After rumors circulated last week that Pink is pregnant, the singer confirmed the news when taping her appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" that will air Wednesday November 17. Telling the talk-show host that she's "glowing," Pink added, "I'm eating for two these days. ... I worked for it. ... It was not an 'Oops!' "

Pink explained that she and husband Carey Hart hadn't responded to the speculation in the week since the rumors first emerged because she had suffered a miscarriage in the past. "I was just really nervous," Pink said on the show, according to Usmagazine.com. "I have had a miscarriage before, but if I was going to talk about it with anyone, it was going to be with you." While Pink didn't announce the baby's gender, she did tease that she might have to buy a lot of pink. "But the doctor kind of told me what she thinks [based on the ultrasound]," she said. "I'm terrified because she thinks it's a girl! My mom has always wished me a daughter just like me. I'm terrified one of us will go to jail." The pop star even gushed about starting a family with Hart, despite their split in 2008 before getting back together in 2009. "I never had anything in my life that I didn't work hard for and my relationship is that," she said. "We worked really hard and we had our little meltdowns, a couple of them. ... We both needed to do that and come back together. It's just yummy!"

Not long after Bon Jovi took the stage at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles at the American Music Awards on Sunday night (November 21) to play a mini-set of greatest hits, Pink dropped by to celebrate her own just-released career retrospective, Greatest Hits ... So Far!!!. But instead of trolling through her catalog, she stuck to the new single "Raise Your Glass," another sparky bit of pop-foolery on which she once again encourages you to get the party started.

The always-unpredictable (and did we mention pregnant?) singer is clearly not done with the acrobatic feats of daring that she showcased on her most recent tour. But in keeping with her new status as a mom-to-be, she left the acrobatics to the skateboarders and punk cheerleaders who crowded the stage around her as she danced like a B-girl beamed down from the set of 1984's "Breakin 2: Electric Boogaloo, " rocking a mini-gold jacket, black high-waisted Hammer pants, black bra and bedazzled black headband. With a colorful, multi-level set that mixed candy-colored risers and half-pipes, Pink worked the stage as she swayed her head side-to-side amid female dancers being tossed up in the air like they were on the sidelines at a Saturday afternoon college football game. When one of her cohorts offered her a wine glass, she lamented that it was empty, but, you know, that's probably a good thing at this point. And then, inexplicably, in the middle of the song, she tossed a bucket full of glitter at a portly extra hanging from an aerialist perch. He responded by yelping, off key, "I freakin' love glitter!" By song's end, she was back center stage and out of breath, beaming as a shower of streamers, balloons and confetti rained down on the crowd. In other words, the perfect ending to a Pink party. Pink Offers Disclaimer For 'F****** Perfect' Video

'I want art to make me think,' singer says of new clip that touches on suicide and cutting.

By her own admission, Pink expected the video for "F****** Perfect," which hit MTV.com on Thursday (January 20), to "ruffle some feathers." However, it's not the foul-mouthed title that she predicts will stir up controversy; it's the accompanying visual, which features themes of suicide and cutting and is set to make its TV premiere Thursday night on MTV at 7:56 p.m. ET. In the hours before the clip was slated to hit the airwaves, the songstress posted a note on her blog that explains the concept of the video and her intentions for the project.

"My favorite books, art pieces, films, and music, always have something jarring about them. I want art to make me think," she said. "In order to do that, it may piss me off, or make me uncomfortable. That promotes awareness and change, or at least some discussion. That is my intention. You can't move mountains by whispering at them." Pink went on to say that graphic clip tackles cutting and suicide because both problems reflect larger psychological issues sufferers must contend with. "Cutting, and suicide, two very different symptoms of the same problem, are gaining on us. (the problem being; alienation and depression. the symptoms; cutting and suicide). I personally don't know a single person who doesn't know at least two of these victims personally," she said. The singer even pointed out how self-harm has popped up in pop culture. "A lot of us have seen certain starlets showing off their latest scars on a red carpet somewhere, usually right before they head back to their favorite rehab." The songstress also made it clear that she doesn't endorse self-destructive behavior, but instead wants to create open dialogue about the issue. "It's a problem, and it's something we should talk about. We can choose to ignore the problem, and therefore ignore this video, but that won't make it go away," she wrote. "I don't support or encourage suicide or cutting. I support the kids out there that feel so desperate/numb/powerless, that feel unseen and unheard, and can't see another way...I want them to know I'm aware. I have been there. I see them. Sometimes that's all it takes." Pink, who is expecting her first child with husband Carey Hart, also added that her pregnancy made the creation of the visual much more moving. "Making this video was a very emotional experience for me, as was writing this song. I have a life inside of me, and I want her or him to know that I will accept him or her with open and loving and welcoming arms. And though I will prepare this little munchkin for a sometimes cruel world, I will also equip this kid to see all the beauty in it as well," she said. "There are good people in this world that are open-minded, and loving. There are those that accept us with all of our flaws. Much like Katy Perry's "Firework" or even (to some extent) Ke$ha's "We R Who We R," Pink's brand-new "F****** Perfect" video is an outreach to the outcasts, an extended hand to those on the fringes of society, one that comes with an empowering — and all-too-often unheard — message of hope. But unlike either Perry or Ke$ha's glossy clips, Pink isn't afraid to get gritty. Or graphic. And therein lies its power.

In "Perfect," we follow the cycle of abuse that envelops a young girl (played by Tina Majorino) starting at an early age (she is bullied on a playground and acts out), then continues on through adolescence (her mother forces her to conform) and, of course, into high school, where the taunts get crueler and the emotions more palpable. This story is, sadly, nothing new, but it's where Pink and director David Meyers (who also did Perry's "Firework" vid) take it next that elevates the video to the next level. Overcome by feelings that are beyond her control (sadness, anger, loneliness), we see Majorino's character grab a razor blade and savagely — and gruesomely — begin cutting herself. As the blood begins to flow, it becomes apparent that she's carving the word "Perfect" into her flesh, and then, with the song hushing to a near whisper, it appears she has died. It's a tough scene to watch, one that Pink herself addressed on her website, writing that she hoped its inclusion would shine a light on the issues of cutting and teen suicide and let anyone who may be considering either know that "I'm aware. I have been there." Thankfully, Majorino's character doesn't die, but her experience does inspire her to re-evaluate things and realize that, no matter what anyone might say, she is special, unique and, most of all, deserving of love. And that's when her life begins to change. She becomes a painter, she finds a supportive boyfriend, and she has a daughter of her own, and by doing all that, she has effectively broken the cycle of abuse. She is free, for the first time, to live her life. It may be a simplistic message, but it's an incredibly important one too. No matter how dark things get, they can — and will — get better. It may not happen all at once, but it will happen. And Pink is living proof of that. Kudos to her for not only making a video like "F****** Perfect," but for having the guts to take it to places her contemporaries don't dare tread. What did you think of Pink's new video? Sure, Lady Gaga's infamous "meat dress" may have drawn the ire of PETA, but that hasn't stopped the animal-rights organization from featuring her — along with fellow icons Pink and Mariah Carey — on a brand-new billboard, set to be unveiled Tuesday in Los Angeles. It's part of PETA's "Fur-Free and Fabulous" campaign, and, despite the fallout over her Video Music Awards outfit, Gaga was chosen because, as PETA puts it in a press release, "Her anti-fur stance ... has been unwavering." "Gaga's out-there outfits never include real fur," the statement continued. "Last year, when she wore a dress made of fluffy Kermit the Frog dolls, [she] explained, 'I thought it was commentary on not wearing fur, 'cause I hate fur and don't wear fur.' " PETA also selected Pink and Carey for the billboard — which will be raised on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles — because of their longtime anti-fur stances. Pink, who recently co-starred with comedian Ricky Gervais in PETA's "Stolen for Fashion" video short, once allegedly called out Beyoncé for wearing fur, and Carey famously donated a pair of full-length Russian sable coats she had received as gifts to PETA, who, in turn, gave them to homeless women at their winter "fur kitchen" event. With the new billboard, Gaga, Pink and Carey join a list of stars who have teamed with the organization to come out against fur. Last year's "Fur-Free and Fabulous" ad featured Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey.

Don't expect to see Lady Gaga, Pink and Mariah Carey gracing their anti-fur billboard for PETA anytime soon: The animal-rights organization has canceled the previously announced all-star advertisement. As part of PETA's "Fur-Free and Fabulous" campaign, all three pop stars were set to gaze over the corner of Sunset Boulevard and La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles. However, a rep for PETA told MTV News that because of time constraints with artwork, the ad has been nixed, and will be replaced with Justin Bieber's latest campaign. "We were unable to finalize artwork for the 'Fur-Free & Fabulous' billboard for the short window of time that it would be available," Adrianne Burke said in an e-mail. "So we decided to put up our 'Animals can make you smile' billboard featuring Justin Bieber. This PSA encourages people to adopt dogs and cats from shelters instead of buying them from breeders or pet stores." A few weeks ago, PETA unveiled their Bieber-assisted campaign, in which the 16-year-old teen sensation poses alongside a pup with tag lines that read, "My World Includes Passion for Animals, Yours Should Too" and "Animals Can Make U Smile, Adopt From Your Local Shelter." The pop threesome was slated to join a long list of stars who have also teamed with the organization to declare their opposition against fur, including Michelle Obama and Oprah Winfrey. Pink has given birth to a baby girl with husband Carey Hart. "We are ecstatic to welcome our new beautiful healthy happy baby girl, Willow Sage Hart," the singer tweeted late Thursday (June 2). "She's gorgeous, just like her daddy. #beyondblessed." After rumors about her pregnancy surfaced in the fall, Pink confirmed the happy news on "The Ellen DeGeneres" show in November. Telling the talk-show host that she's "glowing," Pink added, "I'm eating for two these days. ... I worked for it. ... It was not an 'Oops!' " Pink explained that she and Hart hadn't responded to the speculation in the week since the rumors first emerged because she had suffered a miscarriage in the past. "I was just really nervous," Pink said on the show. "I have had a miscarriage before, but if I was going to talk about it with anyone, it was going to be with you." The Twitterverse was ablaze with every color of the rainbow Friday night as New York state became the sixth and most populous in the U.S. to allow gay marriage. With the bill, which passed 33 to 29 in the State Senate in Albany, the Empire State joins Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Iowa and Washington D.C. in recognizing gay marriage in the United States.

The timing was fortuitous as New Yorkers observe Pride Week, a celebration of the diversity of the LGBT community. Lady Gaga, whose LGBT advocacy has manifest well beyond her songwriting at speeches, rallies and appearances from San Francisco Pride in 2009 to the National Equality March in 2010, and the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards, wasted no time making her pride known. "Rejoice New York, and propose. We did it!" she Tweeted. "The revolution is ours to fight for love, justice + equality." "CONGRATULATIONS!" Punk-pop provocateur Pink shouted. "ABOUT TIME!" Outspoken, plainclothes talk show hostess Ellen DeGeneres was thrilled about the news. "Every day we get a little closer," she Tweeted. "What an amazing feeling." "Progress!" Neil Patrick Harris said. "A historic night!" "Tonight we're all New Yorkers!" comedienne Kathy Griffin Tweeted. "Straight and gay alike, let's all celebrate marriage #equality." Raise your glass for Pink. The singer just nabbed a role alongside Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Ruffalo and Tim Robbins in the sex-addiction comedy "Thanks for Sharing." "Kids Are Alright" screenwriter Stuart Blumberg will make his directorial debut helming the flick and has only the highest praise for the pop star, according to EW.com. "[Pink] could not be a more ideal fit for this role," Blumberg said. "She carries with her just the right combination of heart and edginess for the part of Dede, and we're incredibly excited to share her acting talent with audiences." The film also stars "Love and Other Drugs" actor Josh Gad, and Edward Norton is onboard as a producer on the film. Pink, whose real name is Alecia Moore, will play a "free-spirited" addict who bonds with Gad's character. Pink's previous onscreen credits include "Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle," "Rollerball," "Catacombs" and "Happy Feet Two." Her music has appeared on countless soundtracks including "White Chicks," "Mean Girls," "Moulin Rouge!" and "Fantastic Four." Pink was spotted on the "Thanks for Sharing" set in New York City on Monday sporting a leather jacket and her signature cropped, platinum-blond locks updated with blue highlights. The movie is due out in 2012. Earlier this year, Pink became a first-time mom when she and husband Carey Hart welcomed a baby girl, Willow Sage Hart. She released her album Greatest Hits ... So Far!!!, which spawned the two feel-good anthem hits "Raise Your Glass" and "F---in' Perfect," last November.
