<title><![CDATA[Wayne Kramer Joins Pere Ubu For Inertia Tour]]></title>

<p>
MC5 guitarist Wayne Kramer has signed on to be a touring musician for avante garde rockers Pere Ubu during that band's stint on the Inertia Tour, which will also feature the Buzzcocks, the Dickies and the Fall.</P> <P>Kramer, whose career has been in a critical upswing following two recent solo records, 1995's "Hard Stuff" and last year's "Citizen Wayne," has even moved the release of his own upcoming record, "Live Like a Motherf**ker," back to November 10 in order to focus on the Pere tour.</P> <P>The bulk of Kramer's concert album was recorded during his last solo road outing, and features two new songs, "Take Your Clothes Off" and "Bomb Day in Paris," as well as an updated version of the classic MC5 diatribe, "Kick Out the Jams."</P> <P>The dates just announced for the Inertia Tour: </P> <UL> <LI>10/14 - Montreal, QUE @ Melody <LI>10/15 - Montreal, QUE @ Melody <LI>10/16 - Toronto, ONT @ Concert Hall <LI>10/17 - Toronto, ONT @ Concert Hall <LI>10/18 - Detroit, MI @ State Theater

<title><![CDATA[Pere Ubu's "Pennsylvania" Shuffle]]></title>

<p>
Twenty-years after the release of its groundbreaking debut, "Modern Dance," absurdist rock group Pere Ubu has returned with its eleventh studio album, "Pennsylvania," and plans to launch a tour in June.</P> <P>Hailing from Cleveland, Pere Ubu rose out of a late '70s Ohio scene that also spawned Devo, and though "Modern Dance" sold less than 20,000 copies in the U.S., Ubu's sound was a major source of inspiration to a wave of postpunk bands, including R.E.M., Husker Du and the Pixies.</P> <P>Pere Ubu will also use the summer outing to celebrate the Geffen reissue of "Modern Dance," which is scheduled to arrive in stores on June 2.</P> The dates announced so far for Pere Ubu's summer tour:</P> <UL> <LI>6/13 - Toronto, ONT @ NXNE <LI>6/14 - Toronto, ONT @ Horseshoe <LI>6/15 - Burlington, VT @ Club Toast <LI>6/16 - Montreal, QUE @ Club Soda <LI>6/17 - Cambridge, MA @ Middle East <LI>6/18 - New York, NY @ Wetlands <LI>6/19 - Pittsburgh, PA @ Graffiti <LI>6/20 - Cleveland, OH @ Wilbert's <LI>6/21
