New York based trio Mosquitos, made up of Chris Root (guitar/songwriter), Juju Stulbach (vocals), and Jon Marshall Smith (keyboards/sampler), blends indie rock and smart samples with sexy Brazilian beats to create a cool musical cocktail. Mosquitos debuted on the beaches of Rio where Chris met Juju and began recording rudimentary versions of the bands songs. After flying back to New York, Chris enlisted Jon to rework and refine the material with him, and Mosquitos soon had a record deal.

With plenty of past experience as an actress and dancer, Juju is the perfect front woman for Mosquitos. Chris is a veteran of several bands and tosses off guitar solos as well as joining in on vocals. Jon creates the atmospheric underpinnings to all those Mosquitos tunes with his Keyboard.

After releasing their debut disc last August, Mosquitos continued to evolve by bringing in punk-rock energy to their signature sounds. Mosquitos has since preformed live at several radio stations, and premiered their songs on such shows as The O.C., Malcolm in the Middle, and MTV's Real World. They have also been licensed for several national TV ad campaigns.
