Demi Lovato isn't afraid to get a little angsty about love on her new single, "Remember December," the video for which hit airwaves Thursday (November 12). The Disney singer/actress said the track is meant for all her girls out there who need to remind guys that they messed up.

"The music video relates to the song in a way that a girl has so much to say to the guy, and it feels like he's not listening, and she wants him to remember everything that they had," she told MTV News. "And so instead of having a love interest in this video, it's all about being fierce and kind of, like, taking control as a girl. It's like girl empowerment. Yeah, divas!"

Lovato said the song is near and dear to her but wouldn't say just who the unlucky guy is at the center of the song. "I love this song for many reasons," she said. "It had a different sound than a lot of my songs. I related to it personally more than other songs, and I have so much fun with it. I thought if it could be a single that it would be incredible to perform it all the time."

The song diverges a bit from Lovato's typical pop/rock sound, she said. "What stands out about the song [is that] I can dance to it and rock out to it, which is ultimately my goal," she said. "I was just so excited when I heard this one, 'cause it's the epitome of where I want to go with the future."

Since the release of the first "Twilight" film, fans have been divided on one issue: Team Edward or Team Jacob? Well, the November 20 release of "New Moon" is sure to make that decision harder. MTV News left it to our favorite celebrities.

So who is on Team Edward? "No, I really did not like [Jacob]. I would put my book down and be like, 'Leave Bella alone,' " "Hills" star Stephanie Pratt told MTV News. "I had issues with Jacob — that he was just, like, manipulating with her and messing with her, especially when Edward came back in the picture ... I get really mad and I feel bad 'cause I think I take it out on Taylor [Lautner]. I hate Jacob."

Backstreet Boy AJ McLean isn't ashamed to wave his Team Edward flag proudly. " 'New Moon' looks amazing. It's gonna be great. There's more werewolves in this one. It's gonna be good," he said. But despite his excitement for the werewolves, he added, "I'm Team Edward. Jacob's gotta sneak it in there."

It seems that Edward Cullen's mysterious and brooding nature has also captured the heart of "Hills" star Audrina Patridge. She said, "I want to meet an Edward!"

Will Ferrell may not have the details exactly right about just who is involved in this whole "Twilight Saga," but he knows enough to know there's an Edward in the flick. "I'm kinda Team Edward, I'm kinda Team Jim," he joked. "I'm kinda Team ... Stanley."

Add Joe Jonas to the list of Edward supporters. "For a lot of guys, they want superpowers," Joe said, favoring Edward. "He's a vampire, but he's pretty strong and stuff."

With the scales tipped in Edward's favor, someone had to support the underdog. "This question is so hard. I don't know, I like them both," Taylor Lautner's friend Selena Gomez said. "I have to chose one of them? I don't know, I guess Team Jacob, 'cause I want to be a good friend."

Gomez's pal Demi Lovato just couldn't pick a side. "Edward Cullen — I would write a love song to him," the singer/actress said, before giddily adding, "Or Jacob Black!"

For the past few weeks, there have been rumors swirling that "Camp Rock" costars Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas have transformed their onscreen love into real life. After being spotted out together several times recently, fans and the media began to assume that the pair had fallen for one another.

But according to Lovato herself, this couldn't be further from the truth. "There's been a lot of rumors lately that I'm dating one of my best friends Joe [Jonas]," she tweeted. "I can promise my entire career that I am not. We've NEVER dated. He's incredible, but we don't have feelings for each other in that way. I love you guys, and I wouldn't lie about that."

This isn't the first famous guy that Lovato has been linked to. Earlier this year, she dated Miley Cyrus' older brother and Metro Station singer Trace Cyrus. And Joe Jonas in turn has had his name linked to quite a few starlets, ranging from Camilla Belle to Taylor Swift. In her tweets, Lovato notes that having rumors spread about your personal life is part of the way Hollywood works.

"It's unfortunate that some people out there are so desperate for attention that they have to make up gossip to keep their site alive," she wrote. "But that's how this whole city works I guess. It just makes me sad that people are that mean in this world. ... Believe what you want, love me or hate me. I can't change your mind for you so do what you want! True fans (friends) are here for me forever."

It wasn't the first time Demi Lovato had been on a movie set with the Jonas Brothers, but she did reveal that shooting the sequel "Camp Rock: The Final Jam" afforded her the chance to make some great new memories with her pop-star besties. In fact, she had such an amazing time shooting with the group that she couldn't help but rave about it days after wrapping.

"It was so much fun doing 'Camp Rock 2,' " she told MTV News on the set of her new music video for "Remember December." "I had some of the best memories in the world there. It was a blast."

And Lovato doesn't just credit Nick, Joe and Kevin for the great time she had working on the film, she also thanks the new faces that joined the "Camp Rock" stars for the film's sequel. "It was incredible being back with the cast from the first one, and we had new castmembers. We were so excited to be able to shoot again and make new friendships. I loved it."

One of Lovato's favorite on-set memories happened the day she and the JoBros shot the parody rap video for their song "Bounce." "I think a lot of you guys out there heard about the music video out there, 'Bounce.' ... We ended up shooting the music video one day before we all went to work. It was just so much fun. It was incredible," she said.

Earlier this month, the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato took some time out of their busy "Camp Rock 2" shooting schedule to film their funny music video for the parody rap song "Bounce." The video features the guys in various getups and wigs, rapping and singing with Lovato.

When MTV News caught up with her on the set of the video for her single "Remember December," she explained that the idea was all Nick's. "I think a lot of you guys out there heard about the music video out there, 'Bounce,' " she shared about her favorite "Camp Rock 2" moment. "One day Nick [Jonas] came up to me on set like, 'Yo, I got this new song. I have a beat to it and it's really sick.' "

She was initially apprehensive about the song, not realizing it was meant to be funny and that Nick didn't intend for it to be serious. "I was like, 'Oh, OK, good — 'cause I was about to say something,' " she joked.

Demi and all three Jonas Brothers then decided to shoot a video for the song. "We ended up shooting the music video one day before we all went to work," she said. "It was just so much fun. It was incredible."

However, this might not be the last you see of "Bounce" — Demi teases there may be more installments in the future. "I had so much fun doing that," she said. "Maybe you should watch out for the sequel."

Demi Lovato and John Mayer have never been shy about sharing their love with the world. After the pair had an ongoing Twittermance earlier this year, Mayer worked with the Disney princess on the track "World of Chances" from her Here We Go Again album.

But Mayer didn't feel pressured to return the favor when it came to his November release, Battle Studies. "I like Demi a lot," Mayer said. "It's not a matter of obliging her. I look at what makes the best song, what makes the best sound, what makes the most timeless thing."

Regardless of that decision, he does think if Demi keeps working as hard as she does, she'll have a lot of success. "I think Demi has a huge career in front of her ... depending on the decisions she makes in her life," he explained. "And when you're young and you're a star, my thing for her is like, just keep writing, just keep working, just keep developing."

Mayer said Demi needs to try to forget that the world is watching during her evolution as an artist. "You have to keep developing, even if you're out in public. It's really difficult to be seen in the public and still continue to be vulnerable as an artist," he said. "But when you're 16 or 17, you have to. ... You gotta keep learning, [even if] people are watching you."

On Tuesday night, Demi Lovato achieved something most 16-year-olds only dream of: Her new album, Here We Go Again, will be #1 on the Billboard albums chart next week.

"It's great! I'm having a blast. I mean. never could I ever think I'd be this lucky," she told MTV News on Wednesday (July 29). "I'm excited. I was just completely ecstatic over it. I didn't know what to do! Last time I debuted at #2 [with Don't Forget] and so I thought if I could get close to that, that'd be awesome, so I was so excited."

The singer and Disney star said that she learned about her big debut before she hit the stage Tuesday night in Delaware. "[I found out] yesterday at my concert," she said. "I found at my [pre-show] prayer. We were all praying and somebody called."

Lovato was especially excited by the news since she feels the album is very personal, and she knows that her fans have been supportive of the move to write about events she's gone through in her life. "It's nice because now people get to see what I'm all about," she said. "And this album is more me and hopefully they like it. They've been able to relate to it a lot, which is really cool."

And Lovato got very personal on the album, noting that her favorite song, "Stop the World," which she worked on with friend Nick Jonas, is all about her love life. And although she didn't mention it as the inspiration, she did recently split from 20-year-old Metro Station frontman (and Miley's brother) Trace Cyrus.

"I put a lot of personal things into [it], and it just seems to be the story of my life," she said. "The song is basically about like falling in love with someone you shouldn't fall in love with, which is what I tend to do. ... Pretty much like waiting until you're older to be somebody."

Although the star has yet to figure out how she's going to celebrate, she does know that her schedule includes a lot more work — more touring, more TV and another album in the future.

"I continue my tour and then I film 'Camp Rock 2' and then I shoot the TV show ['Sonny With a Chance'] and hopefully make my third album. I think I'll probably throw a birthday party," she said about how she'll eventually celebrate on her 17th birthday next month. "And celebrate this at the same time."

Demi Lovato is having quite a summer. Not only is she on tour with "American Idol" runner-up David Archuleta, but the Disney star's sophomore album, Here We Go Again, will debut at #1 on next week's Billboard 200 albums chart.

She worked on the album, which sold 107,000 copies in its first week, with good friend Nick Jonas, as well as John Mayer, and those collaborations seem to have paid off. Her last album, Don't Forget, made its debut at #2 last summer.

"I can't believe it... I'm speechless... Seriously wow... Here We Go Again #1 album on Billboard's Top 200!!!" she tweeted. "Thank you guys so much!!!! I love you!!!!!!!"

If that weren't enough for the "Camp Rock" star, her music recently received accolades from Kelly Clarkson at one of Clarkson's recent concerts. Lovato recently tweeted, "Oh. My. God. Thank You Kelly Clarkson!!!" after a video of Clarkson talking about the 16-year-old appeared online.

"She's really good," Clarkson shared with the audience. "She can sing her butt off! And I told her I'd get her CD and I already have it."

The admiration is mutual: Lovato recently told MTV News how much she'd like to work with Clarkson. She'd love to get her to make a cameo on her TV show, "Sonny With a Chance." "I think it'd be really cool to have Kelly Clarkson on the show," she said. "And I've never seen her act on anything, other than her movie ["From Justin to Kelly"]. But I think it'd be really cool to work with her."

After debuting at #2 with Don't Forget just last year, Demi Lovato has worked some Disney magic on next week's Billboard 200 chart, as 107,000 first-week sales of Here We Go Again earn her the #1 spot.

According to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan, the "Sonny With a Chance" teen's sophomore album will just edge out last week's #1, Daughtry's Leave This Town, which shed 63 percent of its debut business, slipping a spot to #2 in its second week on sales of 100,000.

Daughtry has some "American Idol" company in the top 10, as the sophomore album from season-six winner Jordin Sparks, Battlefield, pops in at #7 in its first week, moving 48,000 copies. The bow is actually both a step up and down for Sparks, whose 2007 self-titled debut only hit #10 in its first week, while selling more than 119,000 copies.

Over on the Comprehensive Albums chart, Lovato will actually be beat out by Michael Jackson's Number Ones, which retakes the #1 spot thanks to another 151,000 units moved. It's among three Jackson albums still lodged in the top 10 on that chart (which combines contemporary albums with catalog titles), with a total of seven residing in the top 20. A month after his death, Jackson continues to rule the Top Catalog Album charts, with a lock on nine of the top 10 positions.

Back on the 200 chart, the top 10 is largely unchanged, as resurgent soul singer Maxwell drops a spot to #3 (72,000) with BLACKsummers'night, followed by Now 31 (#4, 57,000), Hannah Montana 3 (#5, 53,000), the Black Eyed Peas' E.N.D. (Energy Never Dies) (#6, 52,000), Kings of Leon's Only by the Night (#8, passing the platinum mark after nearly a year on the charts), Taylor Swift's Fearless (#9, 37,000) and Lady Gaga's Fame (#10, 27,000).

A trio of albums that debuted in the top 10 last week have taken a tumble, including Twista's Category F5 (down 11 spots to #19 on sales of 19,000); the first effort from Jack White's the Dead Weather, Horehound (which dives 17 spots to #23 on sales of 17,000); and the latest from R&B singer Joe, Signature, which falls 20 spots to #27 (15,000).

Showing some serious hang time more than a year after crashing the charts, Katy Perry's One of the Boys storms up 17 spots to #49 on sales of close to 9,000 thanks to a goose from her latest single, "Waking Up in Vegas." The news is not so hot for Fabolous, Ashley Tisdale and Kristinia DeBarge.

Trace Cyrus has confirmed that he and Demi Lovato have broken up.

Miley's older brother told People magazine that he and the Disney starlet, who released the album Here We Go Again on Tuesday (July 21), have put an end to their romance because of age and distance.

"Demi is one of my good friends, and I definitely became very, very close with her in the past few months, and it's something I really wanted to make work. But unfortunately, we both have very busy schedules — we're both on tour right now," said Cyrus, who is the lead singer of Metro Station. "I'm always on the other side of the world and so is she, so it just seemed like something that can't work out at this time."

Cyrus and Lovato sparked rumors of a relationship in the spring, when they began tweeting back and forth. "We gave it a shot, and that's all you can do," Cyrus said. "Every time I hung out with that girl or talked on the phone with her, it was amazing. She's someone I can totally relate to."

Perhaps also making it difficult is the former couple's four-year age difference. "She is a lot younger than me," said 20-year-old Cyrus of Lovato, 16. "When someone is that much younger, you're looking for different things in relationships. Maybe when she's older and we've both matured, we'll be looking for the same thing and it can work out."

Last month, when MTV News asked Lovato about the rumors, she flatly denied that the two were dating. "I'm single! Yeah, I'm definitely single," she said, adding, "I try not to listen to rumors. Rumors are stupid. They're not true. I mean, of course you get stuff like that all the time. You read it online, and you're just like, 'Why did they even make that up?' But, I mean, I don't really remember them, 'cause they're not important to me."
