Kids in the Way formed in Indiana in the late 1990's and made a name for themselves on the Christian music circuit with their combination of raw, emotional rock and intensely spiritual lyrics. In 2003 the quintet (singer David Pelsue, guitarist Nathan Ehman, guitarist Austin Cobb, drummer Eric Carter and bassist Nathan Hughes) released their debut album, Safe from the Losing Fight. With their 2005 follow-up, Apparitions of Melody, the band began to attract a significant secular audience, following in the footsteps of other breakout artists like Relient K and Switchfoot.
