At last year's Grammy Awards, Nick Jonas performed with his brothers, Joe and Kevin. But at this year's Grammy Nominations Concert Live, Nick will be going rogue and playing with his new band and side project, Nick Jonas and the Administration.

Nick, whose nickname is Mr. President, will be introduced by his older brothers when he takes the stage on December 2 at Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Other performers include the Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell and Sugarland. LL Cool J will host the show, which will be broadcast live on CBS.

At the concert, nominations for several categories of the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will be announced, as well as acts that will perform at the big show on January 31, 2010. It has already been announced that Lady Gaga will be ineligible for a best new artist nomination due to her best dance recording nomination last year.

The Jonas Brothers were up for a Grammy last year, but lost the Best New Artist statue to Adele. Nick caused quite a stir when he first announced he was working on a side project, but the band assured fans they weren't breaking up.

"We are so proud of our brother Nick," Kevin and Joe said in October. "We know that we will be doing music together for the rest of our lives. But we are thrilled for you to hear these songs that were on his heart. They are amazing works of art from an amazing talent ... our brother. We will see you later this year, next year and hopefully for the rest of our lives."

A snippet of a song by Nick Jonas and the Administration, "Who I Am," was recently leaked online and is expected to be released on December 3.

The Jonas Brothers can be added to the list of artists who have canceled concerts recently due to illness (yes, we're talking about you Paramore and Miley Cyrus). The band had to cancel a show over the weekend due to Nick Jonas' upper respiratory infection.

The guys were all set to play a concert in Zurich on Saturday when they canceled at the last minute and released a statement on their Twitter apologizing to fans: "We are sad to announce the cancellation of the Jonas Brothers concert for this evening in Zurich," the statement reads. "Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers is ill with an upper respiratory infection of the nose and throat and the doctor has advised that he not speak or sing."

The band notes that this is the first time they "have ever cancelled a show for sickness and deeply regret that they will not be able to perform as a group tonight. The band, the management, and the promoter apologize that the show must be cancelled on such short notice," they wrote. "We will do everything we can to revisit Zurich in the future and perform for our wonderful fans."

The guys plan to return to the stage for a concert in Bilbao, Spain, on Tuesday. On Sunday, Nick tweeted, "I am happy to tell everyone that I woke up this morning and I'm already feeling better! Thanks for all the prayers. Can't wait to rock Bilbao!"

In other Jonas Brothers news, their TV show, "Jonas," has been picked up for a second season on the Disney Channel, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The show's second season is set to start production in February and premiere later next year. The Disney reality show "Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream" has also been picked up for additional episodes.

For the past few weeks, there have been rumors swirling that "Camp Rock" costars Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas have transformed their onscreen love into real life. After being spotted out together several times recently, fans and the media began to assume that the pair had fallen for one another.

But according to Lovato herself, this couldn't be further from the truth. "There's been a lot of rumors lately that I'm dating one of my best friends Joe [Jonas]," she tweeted. "I can promise my entire career that I am not. We've NEVER dated. He's incredible, but we don't have feelings for each other in that way. I love you guys, and I wouldn't lie about that."

This isn't the first famous guy that Lovato has been linked to. Earlier this year, she dated Miley Cyrus' older brother and Metro Station singer Trace Cyrus. And Joe Jonas in turn has had his name linked to quite a few starlets, ranging from Camilla Belle to Taylor Swift. In her tweets, Lovato notes that having rumors spread about your personal life is part of the way Hollywood works.

"It's unfortunate that some people out there are so desperate for attention that they have to make up gossip to keep their site alive," she wrote. "But that's how this whole city works I guess. It just makes me sad that people are that mean in this world. ... Believe what you want, love me or hate me. I can't change your mind for you so do what you want! True fans (friends) are here for me forever."

Earlier this month, the Jonas Brothers and Demi Lovato took some time out of their busy "Camp Rock 2" shooting schedule to film their funny music video for the parody rap song "Bounce." The video features the guys in various getups and wigs, rapping and singing with Lovato.

When MTV News caught up with her on the set of the video for her single "Remember December," she explained that the idea was all Nick's. "I think a lot of you guys out there heard about the music video out there, 'Bounce,' " she shared about her favorite "Camp Rock 2" moment. "One day Nick [Jonas] came up to me on set like, 'Yo, I got this new song. I have a beat to it and it's really sick.' "

She was initially apprehensive about the song, not realizing it was meant to be funny and that Nick didn't intend for it to be serious. "I was like, 'Oh, OK, good — 'cause I was about to say something,' " she joked.

Demi and all three Jonas Brothers then decided to shoot a video for the song. "We ended up shooting the music video one day before we all went to work," she said. "It was just so much fun. It was incredible."

However, this might not be the last you see of "Bounce" — Demi teases there may be more installments in the future. "I had so much fun doing that," she said. "Maybe you should watch out for the sequel."

On the same day their mom broke the news that Nick Jonas had recorded a solo album, the Jonas Brothers took to their MySpace page to assure their fans that Nick is still part of the group.

In a blog post titled "WE ARE NOT BREAKING UP," the guys enumerated facts about what Nick's side project means for the brothers. "#1 The Jonas Brothers are NOT breaking up! #2 Nick Jonas IS working on a side project called Nick Jonas & The Administration," they wrote. "#3 This project will be released early in 2010. #4 We are ALL excited about this project AND what we are doing TOGETHER! #5 We plan to make music together for as long as we can."

Nick then shared details about the project that he worked on six months ago in Nashville with four musicians he had worked with in the past. Presumably the band's name stems from Nick's nickname, Mr. President. "If I was to describe the sound to someone ... I would say it's 'heart & soul,' because the music that I make is from my heart, and the lyrics I write are from my soul," he wrote, after explaining that he recorded the album during a two-week break from touring. "We've said from the beginning of our career as the Jonas Brothers that anything we do outside of the group is a side project because you can't break up brothers."

Nick assured fans that they'll see plenty more JoBro action in the future. "We are already planning another world tour AS THE JONAS BROTHERS next summer, and it is all thanks to our amazing fans," he said.

In the post, Kevin and Joe also put their two cents in about rumors of the impending end of the band. "We are so proud of our brother Nick," reads the statement from both of them. "We know that we will be doing music together for the rest of our lives. But we are thrilled for you to hear these songs that were on his heart. They are amazing works of art from an amazing talent ... our brother. We will see you later this year, next year, and hopefully for the rest of our lives."

Rumors popped up online earlier this month that Nick Jonas was working on a solo album apart from his famous family act, the Jonas Brothers. All was hush-hush about the side project — until Nick's mom spilled the beans.

"Nick is working on a solo act — it's called Nick Jonas and the Administration," Denise Jonas told Parade.com. "Shhh! He's at the photo shoot for the album cover right now."

The rumor started when E! News' Ken Baker tweeted that he had heard from inside sources Nick was busy working on his own music, according to SawfNews.com. Baker has since removed two of the tweets, leaving only the one that said the JoBros were not breaking up.

"A source tells me: Nick Jonas secretly working on solo album. May tour alone in 2010. Will you see him?" he wrote. "This time 4 real. They deny it, but it's in the works. JB is not ending or even breaking. Just a side project between JB albums."

This isn't the first time Nick has talked about doing his own thing without Kevin and Joe. Over the summer, he told MTV News he'd like to attend college when he has more free time on his hands.

"I did go see the college, just to go check it out," he said of Northwestern University, just outside Chicago. "I've always been interested in going to school in Chicago. I love Chicago. It's one of my favorite cities. And it was great just to see it. And that's where it's at right now." He added that "it'll be a while before I end up going anyway, because we're obviously very busy."

In the Parade.com interview, Mama Jonas also dished about Kevin's impending wedding to Danielle Deleasa, noting she approves of her son's choice. "Kevin and his fiancée Danielle have set their wedding date — but it's completely private," she said. "Danielle, bless her heart, is from a great little Italian family. She is everything I ever prayed for and hoped for Kevin."

Over the summer, rumors began to spread that Joe Jonas would have a role in the romantic comedy "Valentine's Day" alongside his ex, Taylor Swift. But now the pop star admits that he won't be in the flick.

"I actually went for the audition, and it was looking really good, but scheduling just wasn't working out," he told JustJared.com. "They were filming in the summer and we were touring during the summer."

The singer, who is currently filming "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam," explained that the all-star cast of "Valentine's Day" made it even more difficult to work the film into his busy schedule: "We figured it out on our part, but it was just difficult because they're working with so many superstars, that scheduling is really hard to adjust than a normal film, like if it was just me and a few other people."

Jonas, who recently served as a guest judge on "American Idol" without his brothers, would still like to be involved in the flick somehow — if it isn't too late. "It's Anne Hathaway and all these other big stars that star in that movie, and they have to shift schedules around," he said. "I think we're going to try and do something for that, but it all depends on schedules."

The Garry Marshall-directed flick stars a who's who of Hollywood, including Taylor Lautner, Julia Roberts, Jessica Biel, Emma Roberts, Jessica Alba, Ashton Kutcher, Jamie Foxx and Bradley Cooper.

With the details all ironed out about which Jonas Brother will be Kevin's best man when he gets married, the boys now have to figure out what they're going to do for his bachelor party. And since both Joe and Nick are his best men, the responsibilities fall on both the brothers.

"It will be good, clean fun," Nick told People magazine of Kevin's last night as a single man. "We're going to have a good time with friends and family."

"It won't be in Vegas," Joe added. "Vegas is not really the ideal place. We are thinking somewhere even cooler and better."

The only problem the brothers are having in planning the celebration is that Kevin wants to be involved in the process. Well, they're not going to let him. "It's a big deal, but Kevin kind of has already planned it himself," Nick said. "He will give us suggestions on what he would like and we keep on trying to tell him no. We're like, 'You have no involvement in planning this. Just get ready to have a good time.' "

Joe, who is busy filming "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam" with his brothers, is definitely against Kevin chiming in. "We're not going to let that happen," he said. "Nick and I are in charge and we have to remind Kevin that we'll take care of it."

He added that he can't wait to have Kevin's fiancée, Danielle Deleasa, join the family: "This is going to be a new step in all of our lives. We are willing to take it and we're excited for him. It's great to have a sister in the family."

While Kevin might be excited about getting married, he's not quite ready to talk about starting a family. Kids, he explained, aren't in the plans just yet. "It would be incredible to be a dad and raise a family," he said. "I hope to someday. But it won't be anytime soon."

On Miley Cyrus' Wonder World Tour the singer has props like tractors, boats and motorcycles, but everyone wants to know: Will the Jonas Brothers be joining the show?

"I don't know," she told MTV News. "I went and saw the Jonas' show and it was cool being able to go to a Jonas Brothers' concert. It was super fun." But she noted that if the boys do make an appearance, it'll be as audience members — her tour doesn't allow for special appearances like the one she made at their show in June in Dallas.

"We don't have time for any guest appearances or anything," she added. "I think a lot of my friends will be able to come and visit. You know, the problem is a lot of my buddies are busy working too, but I hope they all can at least catch a show. That'd be really great. It was cool to be able to see the [Jonas Brothers'] show and I hope they'll be able to come here."

And just in case her friends think they have seen it all before, Cyrus promises that this tour will be a lot different than her Best of Both Worlds trek and that her look — which includes a costume change that has her donning a bejeweled bodysuit — will be "pretty wild." "It's something that I couldn't do for a while," she explained about the show, which kicked off September 14 in Portland, Oregon. "It's definitely more mature. It's super fun. It's kind of for everybody."

Joe and Nick Jonas now know just who is going to be the best man at Kevin's wedding to longtime girlfriend Danielle Deleasa. And, no, he didn't decide to pick littlest brother Frankie.

"They both are [my best man]," Kevin said in a radio interview with Canada's Hot 89.9FM Radio during a tour stop in Ottawa. "[Deleasa] actually has two sisters, kind of the same age as well. It works out really well because there are two maids of honor and two best men."

Last month, Nick tried to play it cool when asked if Kevin had picked which brother was going to be his best man. But he did reveal that Kevin and Danielle were possibly planning a winter wedding. "They have not set a date yet, but I think that it'll be sometime around the end of the year, beginning of the year — something like that," Nick said. "We've talked about it a little bit [about who is going to be best man]. He's working it all out, but we'll see what happens."

But Joe revealed in an earlier interview that he had his hopes set on being Kevin's best man. "I want it. I'll be the best best man ever," he said, also revealing the best man plan for any future Jonas weddings. "Eventually if I get married, [the best man is] gonna be Nick, and when it's Nick, [the best man is] gonna be Frankie."
