Jonas Brothers Promise New Album By Year's End

'We've lived a lot of life,' Kevin Jonas teases MTV News about what to expect on their first LP in three years.

It's been nearly three years since the Jonas Brothers released an album together. And a lot has happened for the trio, both personally and professionally, since they dropped 2009's Lines, Vines and Trying Times. Now, with all of that life experience under their belts, the guys are ready to hit the recording studio again.

"In the next few weeks, we're going to be going to New York and we're gonna start writing for another project," Joe told MTV News. The NYC trip probably has something to do with visiting little brother Nick, who is currently starring in Broadway's "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." "It's going to be, I think, our best record yet. I'm so excited." The JoBros have been teasing fans for some time now about getting the band back together, and those plans seem to be coming to fruition. Kevin noted that they have a lot to say this time around. "We've lived a lot of life. ... Joe and Nick have just released amazing projects and I'm so proud of them for that," Kevin said. "They've had things in their hearts they wanted to put out there [and] now it's going to be great. We're all doing different things, living different parts of life and getting to experience it all together again. It's going to be lots of fun." As for when fans will get to hear the new album, Kevin promised it will drop "when it's ready." Joe, however, had a more definitive time frame for the highly anticipated release. "We want to be able to do things this year," he said. "We have plans that nobody really knows about yet, performances that are already lined up and we have music already recorded too ... our [aim] is probably close to the end of the year or next year." Adele Gets Grammy Advice From Jonas Brothers

'A lot of times there's a lot of artists that didn't end up winning that became huge,' Joe tells MTV News of this year's Best New Artist class.

Three years ago, Adele was an up-and-coming singer who was just beginning bubble on the American pop scene thanks to her 19 single "Chasing Pavements." In 2009, a year after the release of her debut, the still-somewhat-unknown Brit won the Best New Artist Grammy. She was well on her way to becoming one of the biggest voices in pop.

This year, she'll head into Sunday's Grammys with six nominations for her heartbreaking 21. But back in '09, Adele — who had yet to build up a big Stateside fanbase — managed beat the likes of the Jonas Brothers and fellow Brit Duffy in the category. Three years later, the JoBros can laugh off the loss. "We lost," Kevin joked to MTV News when we caught up with the guys this week. Asked if he had any 2012 Grammy advice for the "Rolling in the Deep" singer, he could only say, "To Adele ... she's only like one of the best artists ever. It's cool." Joe also had some words of wisdom for this year's crop of Best New Artist nominees, including the Band Perry, Bon Iver, J. Cole, Nicki Minaj and Skrillex.

"I think, go in knowing that you're a winner already. You got that far, you should feel like a champion," Joe said. "I believe Norah Jones said it: Sometimes it can be a curse. You get scared if you're gonna win. I'm not saying there's a curse on Adele — she's amazing! — but a lot of times there's a lot of artists that didn't end up winning that became huge, so you're a winner [regardless]." And as the JoBros dished, if you do lose, there's always a consolation prize. "You do get a really cool necklace, gold metal thing," Kevin revealed. Chaos! Profanity! Wardrobe malfunctions! Since Regis Philbin left his spot on "Live! With Regis and Kelly" earlier this month, the show has been busy booking A-list talent to fill the seat alongside the bubbly Kelly Ripa. With the likes of Neil Patrick Harris and Jerry Seinfeld having already stepped up, many more actors and musicians are now in line to co-host "Live!" according to ABC. On December 5 and 6, "Dancing With the Stars" pro Derek Hough will join Ripa, while singer Josh Groban will fill the spot on December 7, 8 and 9. As December rolls along, Taye Diggs will come onboard on December 12; the next day, Kevin Jonas will bulk up his résumé with a guest host spot. (His brother Nick Jonas co-hosted the morning show once in early 2010.) Rounding out the week is Bryant Gumble, who'll host on December 14, followed by chart-topping crooner Michael Bublé, who's slated to host on December 15 and 16. The news of Kevin's gig comes just as the Jonas Brothers have been busy pursuing a variety of show business gigs. Nick is gearing up for a 2012 run as the lead in Broadway's "How to Succeed in Business." Middle brother Joe is still out promoting his solo effort, FastLife, even as the siblings continue to insist they plan to work together again. "We had been focusing this past year and a half on our individual projects and what we're doing on our own, and I think that with 'How to Succeed' and with Joe still promoting his album and doing all that, that's still a bit part of the future," Nick told MTV News recently. "However, we have started thinking about the next step and what that means for the brothers, and the tone overall is just that we want it to be the right time, and we want to take our time."

All three Jonas Brothers have spent some time apart, working on their individual projects: Nick Jonas has been producing other artists and will appear in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" on Broadway, while Joe Jonas has been busy pimping his solo album, Fastlife, all over the globe. The guys admit it's time to get the old band back together.

"We had been focusing this past year and a half on our individual projects and what we're doing on our own, and I think that with 'How to Succeed' and with Joe still promoting his album and doing all that, that's still a bit part of the future," Nick told MTV News when he stopped by our New York office last week. "However, we have started thinking about the next step and what that means for the brothers, and the tone overall is just that we want it to be the right time, and we want to take our time." In fact, there's even a timeframe for when the guys intend to really start thinking more about their next album. "I'm gonna be going to New York probably when Nick's going to be doing some Broadway stuff, so maybe some more Jonas Brothers stuff soon," Joe added on the set of "Hot in Cleveland" a day later. "Kevin, he lives in New York, so we'll all be there together. We'll see what happens. Nick's gonna be working on his project, and we're always writing together, and we promised the band's not over. So, I'm definitely looking forward to be able to get back with them." And, JoBros fans, there even seems to some chatter that in addition to new music, there might also be some new tour plans. "We're excited to make music for our fans again and to be able to tour one day together again," Nick explained. "I don't know necessarily when that will be, but it will happen, and when it does, we're gonna be really excited, and hopefully our fans and others will be excited as well." Joe Jonas Steams Up Paris In 'Just In Love' Video

Joe Jonas told MTV News that his music video for "Just in Love" would leave his fans "shocked," and he wasn't wrong. The video shows a grown-up side of the former teen star, who's now 22.

The retro-tinged, very sexy clip is set in Paris, with Joe cavorting around town with French model Angele. The two run around in their designer duds, making out in cafés, catching the metro, driving around in cars, hanging out in a bathtub and kissing in bed (a lot). "No, I'm not naked and she's not naked," he later told E! Online about the bathtub scene when the network premiered the video on Tuesday evening. "But I think it's a little bit, well, I'll just say it's a little bit older than anything I've done before." The video, directed by Jaci Judelson, is composed of shots of the pair as they make out all around one of Europe's most beautiful cities, weaving together the tale of their brief but passionate love affair. However, all good things must come to an end and Joe leaves his French lady love behind. The video closes out with Joe looking back as he walks away in the dark of the night. "Just in Love" officially dropped last week and is the second single from Jonas' forthcoming album, Fast Life, due October 11.

A decade has passed since the attacks of September 11, 2001, but the memory of that day and those who were affected by it still lives on in America. Celebrities from Anderson Cooper to Lil Wayne took to Twitter on Sunday morning to share thoughts on the 10th anniversary of 9/11.

New York native Lea Michele was in high school when NYC's Twin Towers were destroyed, and the "Glee" star looked back on how the city has grown in the past 10 years. "NYC is one of the most strong & beautiful places in the world. I feel so blessed & proud today to have been born and raised in this city," she tweeted. "To all the families and people of New York affected by the tragedies of September 11th my thoughts and prayers go out to you." Travie McCoy, who was born in Geneva, New York, also took to Twitter to offer his condolences to those affected during the September 11 attacks. "Something about flying on this particular day that is mildly eerie. My heart goes out to the families of the victims of 9/11. Very sad day," the Gym Class Heroes frontman said. CNN host and fellow New Yorker Anderson Cooper tweeted from the memorial event at Ground Zero on Sunday. He called the gathering of the families of those killed during the attack a "beautiful memorial," and offered reminders of all the major events that occurred that day. Look back at how the aftermath of 9/11 affected young Muslim Americans. Proud New Jersey native Kevin Smith took to Twitter to recall how he found out that the Twin Towers were hit. "10 years ago, I was fast asleep in Toluca Lake when my Mom called, yelling 'We're under attack'," the director tweeted. "My heart goes out to all the families and friends of the people in both the planes and the buildings who were murdered 10 years ago today." "Jersey Shore" castmembers shared their best wishes via Twitter for those who were affected by the tragedy. "Remembering 9.11 my prayers go out to all the families that lost their loved ones and all who serve our country! #Neverforget #fdny #nypd," Snooki tweeted. Sammi Sweetheart added, "9/11.2 the brave souls tht sacrificed their lives for us,and 2 everyone affected by this day,my heart and prayers go out 2you all.nvr 4gttn." Lady Gaga recalled how her high school witnessed the attacks. Denis Leary, who plays a firefighter on the FX show "Rescue Me" and runs the Leary Firefighters Foundation, honored the New York firefighters who responded to the September 11 attacks in his tweets. "10 yrs ago today. Greatest rescue in the history of the fire service. FDNY. Brave. Selfless. True," he tweeted. "Paddy Brown. Timmy Higgins. John Moran. Just 3 of the 343 who gave their lives that day. Never forget. Always remember." Other famous artists from the Tri-State area sent their thoughts out to the victims' families. "Remembering and praying for all those who lost loved ones 10 years ago today," read joint Twitter account of New Jersey's Jonas Brothers. Kevin Jonas added, "Our thoughts and prayers go to the families of all effected by 9-11 #911neverforget." "Sending my love to the victims of 9/11. Remembering the heroism. The brave men & women. The troops. We become alive in the time of fear," Queens MC Nicki Minaj shared Nicki's mentor Lil Wayne tweeted, "Remembering those we lost on this unforgettable day. God bless their families and may their souls rest in peace." "My thoughts and prayers go out to all of the families affected by the awful tragedy of 9/11," new sometime New York resident Kim Kardashian said on Twitter. What will you do to remember 9/11? Nick Jonas is ready to head back to the stage. No, he hasn't announced a new tour. The teen star is about to take on the Great White Way. Jonas is set to play J. Pierrepont Finch, the lead role in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." He'll follow in the footsteps of Daniel Radcliffe, who is in the show until January 1, and "Glee" star Darren Criss, who takes over for three weeks on January 3. Jonas will settle into the show starting January 24 and end his run on July 1, 2012. "It's official. I'm coming back to Broadway," he tweeted on Wednesday (September 7). "So excited & honored to play the role of J. Pierrepont Finch in How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying next year!" Jonas actually has quite a long history in musical theater, including roles in "A Christmas Carol," "Les Misérables," "Beauty and the Beast" and "Annie Get Your Gun." (He played Marius in "Les Misérables" for the 25th anniversary concert in London.) Nick has also had a lot of practice with singing onscreen for the Disney network. Along with brothers Kevin and Joe, he has appeared in the successful "Camp Rock" movies. And just this past summer the youngest Jonas Brother played Link Larkin in the Hollywood Bowl's run of "Hairspray." Not long before he hit the stage for that show, Nick shared with MTV News the steps he was taking to brush up on his dance moves. "I did some salsa dancing; just went out and did some salsa dancing, which was a really fun experience," he said. "And, I think, kind of got me moving a little bit. Joe Jonas Is Perfecting His Dance Moves For Fast Life

The JoBro says he's been working for over a year on a stage act to match his dance-heavy solo album.

Joe Jonas is gearing up for a very busy fall: He's heading out on the road with Jay Sean for a 19-city tour; his first solo album, Fast Life, hits stores October 11, and then he'll jet off with Britney Spears for the European leg of her Femme Fatale Tour. Though his single, "See No More," has been out for months, and he's been performing all over the place lately, there's still a chance this Jonas brother's new sound might surprise his longtime fans.

"The biggest difference is a little bit more urban and dance electronic stuff," Jonas told MTV News at the mtvU VMA Concert to Benefit Lifebeat - Music Fights HIV. "I've been influenced by a lot of different artists throughout my life and this is my opportunity to kind of show the world a little bit more about what I like writing and what I like coming up with musically." If he's delivering that kind of sound, fans will probably expect him to show off his dance moves onstage, and Jonas says he's been working to perfect them for quite some time. "It was a little bit difficult in the beginning to feel comfortable with it," Jonas said of learning his dance steps. " I've been rehearsing for a little over a year with Marty, who's a choreographer I work with, and he's made me feel a lot more comfortable onstage, a lot more comfortable in my own skin, which made the whole process 100 percent better." Just last week, Jonas unveiled Fast Life's album cover, which he said is the perfect representation of the upcoming release. "We had a couple of photo shoots trying to decide which direction we wanted to go in," Jonas said of the album cover. "And just kind of came together with having a really cool background and explaining Fast Life." So what do those words mean for Jonas? "I think my life has been so crazy busy for the past year and a half, and I kind of wanted to show people a little bit more of what my life is about, bring them into it a little bit more, so that's been a fun experience." Jonas said.

Jonas Brothers Will Be Back 'Eventually,' Joe Jonas Says

Joe Jonas may be busy right now launching the solo phase of his career, as he preps his video for "Just in Love With You," but that doesn't mean the Jonas Brothers won't be back.

"I love to make music, and I'm always creating. It doesn't stop that creating bug," he told us backstage at Britney Spears' Femme Fatale Tour, where Kevin Jonas showed up to lend some support to his younger brother. "Definitely, me and my bros, we are gonna make another project eventually," he said. "Right now, we're just focused on the side projects and the individual stuff we're doing." So when might fans expect new music from the trio? "In the next few years or a year or so, we're gonna make more music together," he said. "I think it's nice for all of us to be able to do this and for me to take this time and really go for it." Earlier this year, Nick Jonas spoke to MTV News about what the guys would do once they finally decided to begin work on their follow-up to 2009's Lines, Vines and Trying Times. "With the next one, you have to step it up and make it great, and I think that we don't necessarily know what the sound is right now," he said. "And we're all kind of in different areas musically. Joe Jonas burned the house down in his "See No More" video, but things are looking a little less dramatic on the set of his latest clip, for his single, "Just in Love With You."

A photo of Joe on set in Paris hit the streets and in it, the 21-year-old is seen sharing a kiss with his model co-star at a City of Lights train station. The couple was also spotted getting cuddly on a bridge in the famed French city. The track is a midtempo tune about fighting to keep the one you love that Jonas has been singing at various live performances over the last couple of months. "When I tell you that I would never leave you/ Do you hear what I say?" he croons, before proclaiming his feelings in the chorus: "You are worth too much to lose/ Even if you're still confused/ Girl, I'm just in love with you." "See No More" and "Just in Love With You" show both sides of falling in and out of love. When MTV News spoke to Jonas earlier this summer about his debut solo album, Fast Life, which drops in September, he explained that the album would certainly show the many facets of love. "It was scary in the beginning just because I knew this is my one opportunity to show people my journal: the good and bad of every relationship I've been in, you know, [and] what I look for [in relationships]," he said. "It was really, really cool to have those experiences [from] all my life [and] to be able to write about it and on my own," he further explained. "And also on the music side, it was a fun process. It was almost an evolution process, because in the beginning it sounded nothing like it is now. It was totally different and very singer/songwriter, and I naturally love dance music and urban, hip-hop music, so I wanted to be able to make something new for them to hear."
