Inspired by her musical family, Jessa was drawn to the stage as a young child and began performing at the age of 5 at family gatherings and has since continued to delight audiences with her unique "sassy-spunky" performance style.
Born in Houston, Texas, Jessa's musical adventures have kept her busy. Early on, she was featured in special interest programming on Houston News Stations and in television commercials for local corporations. By 14, Jessa had entertained the Houston Mayor, the 2012 International Olympic Committee on their visit to the United States, and was featured at the Houston Olympic Flame Celebration, opening before the performance of Clay Walker. In addition to her performance schedule, Jessa has studied Voice with Kim Wood-Sandusky (Destiny's Child, Beyonce) and trained in classical dance.
In 2001, Jessa showcased successfully to A & R executives at Music World Music (Destiny's Child, Beyonce, Matthew Knowles) in Houston, for inclusion into a new girl group. When plans for the group were cancelled, she was encouraged to write her own original material. She was introduced to Los Angeles songwriter/producer Michele Vice-Maslin (Edens Crush, Nick Carter) and began writing and recording in Los Angeles. With Michele's help, Jessa's new pop/rock sound quickly caught the attention of industry music executives. "You Make Everything a Mess" and "Girls Love" aired on MTV's Punk'd and Rich Girls, and ABC Entertainment purchased the rights to use several songs in television programming. Disney recently used a song in the made for television film, Tiger Cruise.
After high school graduation, Jessa plans to further her career, working with prominent Los Angeles entertainment attorney, Ken Hertz (Alanis Morissette, Will Smith, No Doubt). Jessa looks forward to many more years of songwriting and entertaining.
