While thousands of Michael Jackson fans have flocked to movie theaters to see the limited-run engagement of his "This Is It" concert film, several of his family members, including sisters Janet and LaToya, have yet to see the flick. However, LaToya said she's comforted by the support the family has received in the wake of Michael's death this past summer.

"I didn't see the movie yet," she told MTV News on the red carpet of the Us Weekly "Hot Hollywood" event in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. "I'm not ready to see it just yet. It's a bit too much for me right now."

But she did elaborate on the fan response to the film, which has grossed more than $200 million across the globe.

"Well, you know, it's so interesting that he is so loved by everyone in the world," she said. "You just enjoy the fact that people love him so much just in every country. And the things that you read and hear, it makes you feel good inside to know he was your brother and that people loved him that much."

The outpouring of love, however, comes at a very bittersweet time for the Jackson family, since Michael isn't around to see it all for himself.

"I just wish that he could have been here to see it," she said. "I think it's compounded a bit more now that he's not here. I know he's watching."

Janet Jackson is known almost as much for her private nature as she is for her signature dance moves and decades of pop hits. But in a rare interview with ABC News that aired on Wednesday night, the day after her Number Ones album came out, the singer sat down with Robin Roberts to discuss her feelings about brother Michael Jackson's death, her breakup with Jermaine Dupri and how she's trying to gain more control over her sometimes chaotic life.

"That was a shocker to me," Janet said of when she first learned that her brother had been using the powerful surgical anesthetic propofol — the drug that was found in lethal doses in his system after his death — as a sleep aid. "It just ... that's serious ... that's heavy ... that's heavy."

In one segment, Jackson walked around her palatial Los Angeles home, filled with photos of her famous family, and showed Roberts the last picture she has of Michael, taken two days before her birthday earlier this year. In the photo, a sad-looking MJ is seated on a couch with his two sons. Janet said the thing she misses the most about the sibling she called "Mike" is his "silliness," recalling how as children they spent all their time together playing and laughing.

Janet recounted the morning of Jackson's death on June 25, recalling how her assistant called her to relay the news that Michael had been taken to the hospital and how she didn't go immediately to the airport in New York because the severity of the situation was not apparent. "I tried calling again, and that's how I found out that he was ... no longer," she said, trailing off. "I just couldn't believe it. It didn't ring true to me. It felt like a dream. ... To this day, it's still so difficult for me to believe. You have to accept what is, but it's hard."

Talking for the first time about her warm embrace of Michael's daughter, Paris, when the 11-year-old gave her tearful goodbye to her father at his public memorial, Janet said she just wanted to scoop up and protect her niece at that moment. "All of them, not just her, Blanket, Prince. ... It's just tragic. It's hard for everybody. I think we've been doing well. I have a very strong family."

In one of the lighter segments, Janet recalled sitting in her pajamas as a young girl and watching her brothers on their early 1970s Saturday-morning cartoon before she became a performer. She gave Michael credit for helping her to hone a signature sassy performance style as a young girl when she debuted on their variety show at age 7. She also referred to domineering father Joseph Jackson as "old school" in response to a question about allegations by some of her brothers that he abused them, saying his overbearing manner "may extrapolate into being a little abusive."

Janet, 43, said she didn't celebrate a birthday until she was 23 because of her family's Jehovah's Witness beliefs. She noted that her once-promising acting career, stoked by strong roles on "Good Times" and "Diff'rent Strokes," was derailed because her father insisted she focus on music. She also said that her marriage to singer James DeBarge at age 18 was an attempt to break away from her family. That union ended after just three months due to DeBarge's drug addiction, which was eerily similar to the prescription-medication demons Michael faced, an addiction Janet said she believes her brother was in denial about.

Jackson discussed the many attempts at an intervention with Michael that failed. "That's what you do," she told Roberts in the same interview in which she blamed Jackson's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, for the singer's death. "Those are the things that you do when you love someone. You can't just let them continue on that way. And we did a few times. We weren't very successful."

Jackson said she doesn't think Murray, whom she's never met, should be practicing medicine anymore. "So this could happen to another family?" she said. "No."

For the first time, Jackson confirmed that she is no longer dating longtime beau Jermaine Dupri. She also talked about how the effects of being teased about her weight as a child have caused her to be conscious about her weight for her entire adult life. "There are people that regardless of what it is, if it's something that's stressful, whatever it may be, they don't eat, they lose a lot of weight, a divorce, they get real thin," she said laughing. "I'm the opposite." But she credited JD for making her feel "very comfortable" with her body and making her feel that "I'm fine the way I am. There's nothing wrong with me."

While many of the people who worked with Michael Jackson on his "This Is Is" concerts expressed surprise at his struggles with drug addiction, sister Janet Jackson told ABC News that she and her family were well aware of her brother's demons.

In fact, Jackson said that she and her family reached out several times over the years to confront Michael about his drug problem and stage interventions, to no avail. "That's what you do," she told interviewer Robin Roberts in a sit-down in which she also blamed Jackson's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, for the singer's death. "Those are the things that you do when you love someone. You can't just let them continue on that way. And we did a few times. We weren't very successful."

The youngest Jackson sibling said Michael, to whom she was very close, understood that his family was trying to help him, but that he was "possibly" in denial about the extent of his problems. "I wish he could answer this question for you and not me," she said. "I felt that he was in denial."

A coroner's report found that Jackson died of a lethal amount of the powerful surgical anesthetic propofol, a drug he reportedly used to combat his chronic insomnia and which Murray has told police he administered to Jackson several times on the morning of the singer's death. Jackson told Roberts she thought Murray was responsible for her brother's death.

"You can't make 'em drink the water," Janet tells Roberts about forcing someone to face their addictions. "It's something that you can't do for them, something they have to do for themselves." Janet also revealed in the interview that she learned first-hand what the ravages of addiction can do during her first marriage to James DeBarge, who has admitted a prescription medication dependency. After eloping with the singer, Jackson said their marriage fell apart after three months due to DeBarge's addiction.

Evan Chandler, 65, the father of a young boy who alleged that he was molested by Michael Jackson in 1994, was found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in his luxury apartment in New Jersey earlier this month.

RadarOnline.com reported that Chandler's body was found on November 5 by the concierge at his apartment building.

"There was no note found in the apartment, but officers did find medication in keeping with a serious medical condition," a Jersey City police spokesperson told the site. Police said Chandler was found dead on his bed with a single gunshot wound to his head and a gun in his hand in what they believe was suicide. Police were sent to check on the gravely ill Chandler after he'd missed a doctor's appointment.

In the early 1990's, Chandler alleged to the Los Angeles and Santa Barbara police that Jackson had molested his 13-year-old son, Jordan, who was a frequent companion to the pop star and often spent the night at the singer's Neverland Ranch. The boy gave a taped account of the alleged abuse to police in 1994 in which he described Jackson's private area, prompting officials to request that Jackson submit to having his genitalia photographed as evidence, a process the singer said in a taped address to fans was one of the most humiliating of his life. Though officials launched an investigation, the case never went to court because the family settled with Jackson for an undisclosed amount that was rumored to be $20 million.

In the recent book "Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson," celebrity journalist Ian Halperin wrote about an alleged conversation between Evan Chandler and his ex-wife's second husband, in which Chandler, upset that Jackson had cut ties to the Chandlers, threatened that he was going to go after the singer for money. "And if I go through with this, I win big time," Chandler allegedly said. "There's no way I lose. ... I will get everything I want and they will be destroyed forever. June will lose [custody] and Michael's career will be over."

Halperin also claims in the book that Chandler, who was attempting a career as a screenwriter, went to police with the allegations after extracting a tooth from Jordan, whom he'd put under with the controversial sedative sodium amytal, a drug that experts have claimed makes patients very susceptible to suggestions. Evan Chandler reportedly underwent numerous plastic surgeries to alter his appearance to disguise himself from fervent Jackson fans that would shout abuse at him in public.

The father and son made news again in 2005 when Jordan, 26 at the time, accused his father of hitting him in the head with a 12 pound weight and spraying him in the face with pepper spray. Evan Chandler was charged with assault and weapons charges in the incident, but the charges were later dropped.

Add Janet Jackson to the chorus of Jackson family members who believe Michael Jackson's June death involved some nefarious activity. In a segment from , ABC's upcoming interview with Janet Jackson, the singer said she believes Jackson's personal physician, Dr. Conrad Murray, should shoulder the blame for her brother's death.

"He was the one that was administering. ... I think he's responsible," Jackson said in the interview, slated to air Wednesday, apparently referencing the fact that Murray was the one who provided what officials called a lethal dose of the surgical anesthetic propofol to Jackson.

Though Murray has not been charged in the case and his lawyer said he did not administer anything that "should have" caused Jackson's death, Janet reportedly tells ABC's Robin Roberts that she believes Murray should not be allowed to practice medicine anymore.

A spokesperson for Murray's attorney, Ed Chertoff, said in a statement to MTV News: "The Los Angeles investigation into Michael Jackson's death continues. We continue to maintain Dr. Murray neither prescribed nor administered anything that should have killed Michael Jackson. Any theory to the contrary is premature and not based in fact."

The Los Angeles Police Department has not yet concluded its investigation into Jackson's death, but Murray is the sole focus of their probe into what caused the singer to succumb to cardiac arrest in June.

Janet said Michael continues to be on her mind all the time, admitting that "a day doesn't go by that I don't think about him." Unlike some of the other Jackson family members, Janet was not in Los Angeles on June 25 and she recounted for Roberts the difficulty of dealing with Michael's passing long-distance.

"I was at my house in New York. ... And I get a call. ... [My assistant] said, 'Your brother's been taken to the hospital. It's on CNN right now,' " she recalled. "I called everyone. There's a line busy or — someone wasn't picking up. I spoke to Mother. I spoke to Tito. I spoke to my nephew Austin. I spoke to my sister La Toya. ... I told them to call me when they got to the hospital. And I remember thinking, 'Nobody's calling me back,' so I tried calling again, and that's how I found out that he was no longer. ... I couldn't believe it."

Jackson said the news was almost impossible to believe at first. "It just didn't ring true to me," she said in her first major interview since Jackson's death. "It felt like a dream. It's still so difficult for me to believe. It's, you know, you have to accept what is. But it's hard. You have to move on with your life. You have to accept what is, and I understand that."

The siblings were "incredibly close" as children, and Janet said they did practically everything together and spent every day together in their formative years, with Michael acting as a nurturing presence to his youngest sibling. "We'd feed all the animals, took care of the babies," she said of the animals on the family's Hayvenhurst compound in Encino, California. "All the animals — giraffes, mouflon sheep, deer, they had fawned — all kinds of animals, all kinds of birds. And I remember I would come home from school with the hay like I'm going to a ranch."

Janet said she last saw Michael two days before her 43rd birthday in May. "I was being silly, acting silly," she said. "And he was sitting in front of me and just cracking up, laughing at me. I was being loud, and he thought it was so funny. I was just being stupid, acting silly."

The worldwide thirst for all things Michael Jackson continues unabated. So far, the "This Is It" documentary chronicling the late pop star's final rehearsals for a comeback tour that never was has raked in more than $200 million across the globe.

Reuters reports that the film has crossed the $200 million threshold after just two weeks in theaters, with overseas grosses vastly outstripping U.S. totals. Sony Pictures Entertainment said the movie had brought in $61 million in North America so far and more than $140 million internationally, with Japan among those leading the way at $27.2 million, followed by the U.K. — where Jackson was preparing to launch the "This Is It" 50-show run at London's O2 Arena — at $14.3 million.

The totals make "This Is It" the 22nd biggest-grossing movie worldwide of 2009. Jackson, an artist consumed with record-setting during his lifetime, would surely be pleased with the fact that $200 million is almost three times more than the grosses of the former record-holder for the highest-grossing concert movie, 2008's "Hannah Montana/ Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert Tour," which grossed more than $65 million during its limited run.

"This Is It" opened on October 28 and was initially slated to run for two weeks, but has been extended through early December.

On Tuesday, Judge Mitchell Beckloff rebuffed Joseph Jackson's bid to block the appointment of attorney John Branca and music exec John McClain to the position of co-executors of Michael Jackson's estate, saying that the family patriarch had no standing on the matter because he was not named a beneficiary in his son's will.

Joseph Jackson had raised an objection to the judge appointing the two men to the official position of executors, filing court papers on Monday claiming that Michael believed Branca and McClain were defrauding him, according to the Los Angeles Times. Joseph, who was cut out of his son's will, also asked the estate to cover more than $20,000 a month in living expenses, claiming that he is entitled to the "same manner" of support as his estranged wife, Katherine Jackson, who receives a $26,000 monthly allowance from the estate to assist in caring for Jackson's three young children.

But, despite Joseph's claims, Reuters reported that Beckloff officially named Branca and McClain as co-executors, which gives the two men broad powers to make decisions on behalf of the late pop star's estate, including how the singer's music and likeness are licensed, promoted and packaged. In their role as administrators, Branca and McClain helped secure the deal for the "Michael Jackson's This Is It" documentary, which, along with other music sales and business deals overseen by the two, is expected to bring around $200 million into estate coffers by year's end.

Following Jackson's death, there were numerous reports that the family was battling for control of the estate, the value of which is estimated to be north of $500 million. While at one point Katherine Jackson had opposed the naming of McClain and Branca as estate executors (they are currently titled special administrators of the estate), the Times reported that she dropped that objection on Tuesday. Her lawyer said it was "high time" that the family move past the conflict and begin working together.

Jackson's trust includes a provision that cuts out any beneficiary who challenges its validity. Beckloff set a December date for a court hearing on Joseph Jackson's request for living expenses, which the family patriarch claims his son had covered for decades.

In other Jackson news, the Los Angeles Times reported that Jackson's funeral cost more than $1 million, including a crypt at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California, that cost $590,000 and $35,000 for his funereal clothing. Invitations for the private funeral — which went out to such stars as Elizabeth Taylor, Quincy Jones, Macaulay Culkin and others — cost $11,716, and the security costs for the event ran to $30,000. In addition, flowers for the funeral added another $16,000; the funeral planner charged $15,000; and a dinner for friends and family following the event at an Italian restaurant in Pasadena totaled $21,455.

The A&E network reality show depicting the aftermath of Michael Jackson's death on his family, "The Jacksons: A Family Dynasty," is slated to premiere on Sunday, December 13, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. According to an A&E spokesperson, the series will kick off a six-show run that night with two hour-long episodes.

The show will focus on the lives of brothers Jermaine, Jackie, Tito and Marlon Jackson as they make preparations for a reunion tour that was reportedly to include a performance by Michael at a concert in Texas next summer. Shooting on the series cranked up again following Jackson's death in June, and episodes will also reportedly focus on the brothers' reactions to the shocking passing of the King of Pop.

There have been conflicting reports about whether Jackson's three young children — whom the singer vigorously tried to hide from cameras and paparazzi during his life — will appear on the program. An A&E spokesperson did not respond to requests for comment on whether the children will be included in the show.

In a 30-second preview of the show, tagged "You only think you know them," the brothers can be heard in voiceover discussing their comeback. "It's been 20 years since we were in the studio," one says. "How are we going to make this happen?" another replies.

"I never wanted to hurt y'all; I never wanted to be separated," a third pleads over stock footage of their modest upbringing in Gary, Indiana, as the phrase "The wait is over" flashes on the screen. "We've never forgotten where we come from," another says. "What do we got? Each other. Let's show them who we are."

The second half of the clip shows the brothers rehearsing dance steps to the strains of the group's hit "ABC," as one of them intones, "We're family; we'll be Jackson 5 until the day we die."

In one of the more bizarre media events surrounding Michael Jackson's death, on Friday British television network Sky 1 will broadcast a live séance with the singer's spirit.

In a special "intimate and unique" hour-long event — dubbed "Michael Jackson: The Live Séance" — British psychic Derek Acorah will attempt to contact Jackson's spirit, with the hope of giving the King of Pop's fans the opportunity "to connect with their hero one last time."

"There is an insatiable appetite to find out more about Michael Jackson," Stuart Murphy, Sky 1's director of programs, told Yahoo UK earlier this month. "He was an extraordinary figure and the curiosity surrounding his life — and his death — stretches well beyond fans of his music."

Just how Acorah —best known to British audiences for his long-running paranormal TV series "Ghost Towns" — plans on contacting Jackson's spirit is a closely guarded secret, but according to Kirsty Howell, a publicist for Sky 1, the séance will be held "on an island ... in a secret location familiar to Jackson" before an audience of fans and friends, and will feature mementos from his life.

"We have chosen genuine Michael Jackson fans and people who knew him throughout his life to take part in this event," Howell added. "Derek will also have a personal item from Michael Jackson, and will invite everyone to sit quietly and channel positive thoughts ... he can't force Michael to appear, but he will try inviting his spirit by creating welcoming environment."

Howell added that Sky 1 was aware that some Jackson fans might object to the program, but that it's not meant to be exploitive. Rather, she views it as a tribute to the man and his legacy.

"There are so many Michael Jackson fans out there, people who celebrate his life and his music, and this show is another way for them to connect with him," she said. "We're huge fans of Michael Jackson, and this is a celebration of his life."

"Michael Jackson: The Live Séance" will air at 10 p.m. GMT on Sky 1, and is the second half of a progam examining the singer's life and death. From 9-10 p.m., the network will air "Michael Jackson: The Search for His Spirit," which, according to Sky's program guide, "takes fans on a journey celebrating the life of the troubled, but talented star." American psychic Bobby Marchesso and Jackson's "Thriller" video co-star, Ola Ray, are also featured on the show.

In death, as he was in life, Michael Jackson is still proving to be the King of Pop. In the same week that the documentary "Michael Jackson's This Is It" was the #1 movie in the land, the accompanying soundtrack will take the honors on the Billboard 200 albums chart. According to figures provided by Nielsen SoundScan, the "This Is It" soundtrack will assume the top spot with sales of 373,000, easily besting the week's other big debut, a #2 bow by reunited rockers Creed, whose Full Circle moved 110,000 units.

Thanks to the release of a deluxe edition last Monday, Taylor Swift's Fearless will move up four spots to #3 on sales of 109,000. While the more than 4 million in total sales for the album is impressive, Swift will also notch another major milestone this week, as her self-titled 2006 debut notches its 157th week in the top 200, beating out the previous record holder, Nickelback.

There are plenty of new entries in the top 10, including rock lifer Rod Stewart, whose latest covers album, Soulbook, slides in at #4 on sales of nearly 84,000. The holiday staples the Trans-Siberian Orchestra's latest snowy offering, Night Castle, debuts at #5 (83,000), and Sting's own holiday disc, If on a Winter's Night, comes in at #6 (80,000).

The rest of the top 10: Michael Buble's Crazy Love (#7, 71,000), the "New Moon" soundtrack (#8, 69,000), Tim McGraw's Southern Voice (#9, 59,000) and Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3 (#10, 41,000).

Just outside the top tier, surfing troubadour Jack Johnson paddles in at #11 with his live disc, En Concert (39,000). Veteran rapper Tech N9ne hits #14 with K.O.D. (30,000). Oscar-winning former "Once" couple Glen Hansard and Marketa Irglova, recording as Swell Season, land at #15 with Strict Joy (28,000). Australian celestial rockers Wolfmother thunder to #16 with their second album, Cosmic Egg, and Train pull into the #17 spot with Save Me San Francisco (27,000).

Also debuting were the latest from thrashers Atreyu, Congregation of the Damned (#18, 26,000); soul smoothie Brian McKnight's Evolution of a Man (#20, 24,000) and Canadian twins Tegan and Sara's Sainthood (#21, 24,000). You can assume 50 Cent will have something to say about the so-so debut for Rick Ross' Triple C's crew, Custom Cars & Cycles, which lands softly at #44 on sales of just over 12,000.

The Bawse can perhaps take solace in those numbers by looking at the #125 debut by former Michael Jackson guitarist Orianthi, whose Believe barely sold 4,000 copies, despite her healthy screen time in the Jackson documentary. It was also a quiet open for freak-folk ringleader Devendra Banhart, whose major-label debut, What Will We Be, barely makes it into the top 200 at #139 on anemic sales of just under 4,000.

Look for another top-deck shuffle next week, thanks to the release of Carrie Underwood's latest, the soundtrack to hit TV show "Glee," the latest in the Now series, a live Nirvana album, a Foo Fighters greatest-hits compilations and Weezer's Raditude.
