Full Biography

  1. The Finnish all-girl suomirock group Indica formed in 2002 with teenagers Johanna "Jonsu" Salomaa, Heini, Sirkku, Jenny, and Laura. Singing in Finnish and forging an accessible pop sound with witchy, goth rock sensibilities, the girls caught the attention of Sony BMG's Jani Jalonen in 2003. Indica's debut album on that label, Ikuinen Virta, hit stores in the summer of 2004 and eventually went platinum in Finland. Their sophomore effort, Tuuliset Tienoot, came out one year later, and a third album, Kadonnut Puutarha, followed in 2007. ~ Margaret Reges, Rovi
