Jennifer Lopez Promises Hot Duets With Enrique Iglesias On Tour

'I want to give my fans everything that they're waiting for,' says Lopez of her solo outing.

It's hard to believe that Jennifer Lopez is nearly 20 years into her music career and just now getting ready to launch her first solo tour.

But on Monday the multi-hyphenate diva announced that she will spend her summer on the road with two of the biggest names in Latin music: Enrique Iglesias and Wisin Y Yandel.

The trio will hit more than 20 cities on the outing, beginning with a July 14 date in Montreal at the Bell Centre, and running through gigs in Boston, Chicago, San Jose, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, Houston and an August 31 date in Miami at American Airlines Arena. More dates will be announced soon for the tour.

"This is my first tour, but I want to give my fans everything that they're waiting for," Lopez told MTV News on Monday, while sitting on a couch flanked by Iglesias and Llandel Veguilla Malave of the popular reggaeton duo. "All the hits, lots of dancing, all the stuff they love. But some new surprises. Lot of energy, lots of great music, obviously. A little bit of English, a little bit of Spanish, a little bit of everything I think that our fans really want."

She praised her tourmates, calling them "great performers," and promising that she and Iglesias, who will reportedly flip-flop headlining slots, will do some songs together as well. Lopez co-headlined a 2007 tour with ex-husband Marc Anthony in what was then billed as her first-ever tour.

In addition to her gig as a judge on "American Idol," and the upcoming Las Vegas stage debut of her other competition how, "Q'Viva" due on May 26, not to mention a greatest-hits album scheduled for release this summer, Lopez has plenty to keep her busy until the tour kicks off in mid-July.

Iglesias was in talks to join Britney Spears for a tour last summer, but opted instead to go out on his own with openers Pitbull and Prince Royce.

Jennifer Lopez Enlists Enrique Iglesias For First World Tour

Star planning 60-date trek through U.S., South America, Europe and Asia this summer.

With a hot new single, "Dance Again," and an upcoming greatest-hits package to promote, Jennifer Lopez is hitting the road this summer, and she's taking Enrique Iglesias with her.

The "American Idol" judge is set to launch a 60-date world tour in South America in June and will be joined by her "Mouth 2 Mouth" duet partner Iglesias. A source close to Lopez told Celebuzz she "is very excited about him joining the tour."

"This will be a huge tour, complete with a lavish set, full band and team of dancers," the source added.

While concert promoter AEG has not confirmed all dates, Lopez and Iglesias will reportedly visit the United States, South America, Europe and Asia this summer after this season of "Idol" concludes. The tour will snake through Venezuela, Chile, Argentina and Brazil before returning to the U.S. for a planned second round of production rehearsals with shows beginning here in mid-July.

Though she went on a brief tour with then-husband Marc Anthony in 2007, Lopez is looking at this trek as her first-ever full-on world tour. "I did a little minitour with Marc right when I was pregnant [with twins Max and Emme]," Lopez told Ellen DeGeneres last year. "We just did, like, 20 shows. But I've never really done the world tour thing."

Iglesias was previously set to join Britney Spears on her Femme Fatale Tour tour last year but pulled out just hours after the announcement was made, citing his belief that he was set to be Spears' co-headliner, not her opening act.

Half of the 32 "X Factor" semifinalists performed on Thursday's (October 13) episode, which was delayed by a day due to Fox's coverage of Major League Baseball. The contestants ventured off to their mentors' luxurious homes and strutted their stuff in front of them, each vying for one of 16 spots in the finals.

In three out of four cases, the judges were joined by a super-special celebrity guest: In Santa Barbara, California, Paula Abdul was accompanied by Pharrell Williams; Enrique Iglesias was coupled with Nicole Scherzinger in Malibu, California; and Rihanna was by L.A. Reid's side at his cozy estate in the Hamptons, New York. Meanwhile, over in France, Simon Cowell was stood up by Mariah Carey, whose plane was grounded by Hurricane Irene. When it was time to make decisions, a vocal coach and a team of music producers were there to give their impressions to Cowell, whose backyard, it should be noted, houses an absolutely enormous swimming pool.

Simon's pool aside, it was Rihanna who was the episode's MVP. Not only did she help provide Reid feedback on the contestants, but three of them performed her songs, including Seattle crooner Phillip Lomax, who took RiRi by surprise with his laid-back, Sinatra-style take on "Don't Stop the Music." Other singers taking on Rihanna songs were Temecula, California, Bieber-hair-sporting brother duo the Brewer Boys, who did a Tejano version of "Only Girl in the World," and James Kenney, who took on the emotionally charged "Russian Roulette."

As a judge, RiRi seemed most taken by pint-size 14-year-old rapper Brian "Astro" Bradley, whom she compared to "a mini J. Cole." And the brimming-with-confidence Bradley didn't hesitate to inform RiRi of his future plans with her, telling her frankly, "We will be doing a collab one day."

The Carey-less Cowell is tasked with mentoring the girls in the competition, and the standouts included 14-year-old Drew Ryniewicz, whose slowed, hushed take on Roxette's "It Must Have Been Love" was called "magic" by the tight-T-shirted one, and rugby bruiser Caitlyn Koch, whose "Will You Love Me Tomorrow" caused Cowell to praise her pitch and tone. Cowell also enjoyed Simone Battle's piano-ballad version of the Beatles' "Help," but he seemed less sure about Tora Woloshin's electro version of "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction": "It doesn't quite get to me," a puzzled Cowell explained.

In the groups category, Salt Lake City, Utah, trio the Anser impressed Paula and Pharrell with their version of Pink's "Perfect," though Pharrell seemed perplexed by a group member's decision to leave his striking red-framed glasses off during the performance. Virginia Beach quartet 4Shore were praised for their sound take on Brownstone's "If You Love Me," though Pharrell suggested the group needs to "dirty up their style a little bit." And both the judges and the members of Lakoda Rayne seemed to agree something was "off" during their performance of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," not surprising, considering the group was Frankenstein'd together by the judges and had never previously performed together as a unit.

In the category of the Olds — sorry, the "Over 30s" — 53-year-old Elaine Gibbs and 42-year-old Stacy Francis stood out with their versions of Oasis' "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" and Prince's "Purple Rain," respectively. (Of the latter's, which seemingly echoed throughout the canyons of Malibu, Iglesias marveled, "I think the neighbors heard that.") But the most memorable performance (for all the wrong reasons) came from formerly homeless 49-year-old Dexter Haygood, who strutted like Mick Jagger and kicked his legs in the air like David Lee Roth while screaming his way through Beyoncé's "Crazy in Love." Iglesias practically buried his head in his hands in horror during the performance, and many viewers probably did too.

On Sunday's "X Factor," the second half of the contestants performs in front of the judges, and the talent pool is cut in half from 32 to 16.

Whether they had a heads-up or not, when Nicki Minaj and Pitbull unveiled the nominees for the 39th annual American Music Awards on Tuesday (October 11), it was obvious they were both pleased to read the other's name off the list.

Minaj is nominated for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album, while Pitbull picked up nods for Favorite Latin Music Artist and Favorite Pop or Rock Male Artist. When MTV News caught up with the nominees immediately following the announcement, they weren't shy about their hopes for bringing home the big awards come November 20, when the AMAs air live on ABC.

"It's an honor to be here with the kind of caliber of artists here," Pitbull said of fellow nominees Justin Bieber, Bruno Mars, Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez. "Me, I come to the awards shows and I just learn, I watch everyone, I see how they handle their performances and hopefully grab a couple things and apply it to my career. So to be here nominated and to also be performing at the AMAs, I want to thank you."

The "Give Me Everything" singer also promised he'll do his best to top his VMA performance when he takes the AMA stage. "That [VMA performance] was definitely a lot of fun. It's hard to get 60 women from Miami on a plane after they were partying the night before and bring that vibe out there," he joked. "But that's definitely what we're looking for: We're looking for a lot of energy, something very sexy, sophisticated, powerful — and get ready."

With regard to Miss Minaj's chances at victory, she's nominated in both categories with Young Money boss Lil Wayne, so we wanted to know if there will be any friendly wagering going on beforehand.

"I don't know. He's won enough," she said with a smile. "He's been winning for 10 years, so he can move to the side and let me win, hopefully."

Jennifer Lopez, Enrique Iglesias Go 'Mouth 2 Mouth' On New Track

Song will appear on Iglesias' reissue album Euphoria Reloaded.

Enrique Iglesias and Jennifer Lopez are getting muy caliente on their new track "Mouth 2 Mouth." The two take their passion to the dance floor with the DJ Frank E-produced track. The song is all about desire as both Iglesias and Lopez trade sultry lines over shiny synths and pumping beats.

The passion on the swirling party track never subsides. "She called me up late at night/ We called an innocent crime/ She's such a good waste of time/ But in the back of my mind/ You know you're all I'm thinking of," Iglesias sings on the track.

"I can't catch a single breath, baby/ Help me now, help me now," the duo sings on the chorus. "Hurry up it's killing me the way I need your mouth to mouth, mouth to mouth." They go on to sing, "I swear you make me feel alive/ I swear you bring me back to life."

Lopez's lyrics evoke the guilt of wanting someone so intensely. "Kills me to let him inside/ Feels like the wrong kind of right/ He falls asleep by my side/ But in the back of my mind/ You know you're all I'm thinking of."

The song will appear on Iglesias' reissue album Euphoria Reloaded. The original Euphoria dropped in the summer of 2010, spawning hits like "I Like It," "Tonight (I'm Lovin' You)" and "Dirty Dancer." It is collabo-friendly thanks to contributions from the likes of Akon, Usher, Nicole Scherzinger, Ludacris and Pitbull and spawned a comeback for the singer thanks to its dance tracks produced by buzzy producers like RedOne and Fernando Garibay, who are both closely associated with Lady Gaga.

"This is the album I always wanted to make," Iglesias told MTV News last year about Euphoria. "I grew up in Miami speaking Spanglish. I'm so excited about this album. You see so much Hispanic influence everywhere. I wanted to combine both of them."

"The album's cool. It's very eclectic. Every single song is completely different," he added.

Euphoria Reloaded drops in November and promises more sexiness from the Spanish-American pop star. The first single off the deluxe release is the Pitbull-assisted feel-good single "I Like How It Feels," complete with whistle solo and all.

"Como Amar" — that's how you say "How to Love" in Spanish, and that's what Enrique Iglesias sings in his version of Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV hit single, en Español.

MTV News learned about the translated love song from "How to Love" producer Detail.

"I played the song for Enrique. I've been in the studio working on Enrique's album, and I played it. He loved the song so much he wanted to do a Spanish translation," Detail said on the red carpet for BMI's Urban Awards last week.

Iglesias' publicist confirmed the Spanish cover of "How to Love" to MTV News. Weezy and Iglesias first collaborated in 2007 on the song "Push" and got together again last year for Enrique's "Dirty Dancer."

"I don't know Spanish, but I had a couple of women that speak Spanish, and we ended up working it out," Detail said. "Enrique changed a couple of words to make it work for what he does, and it was a great situation. It was a great opportunity for two worlds to come together."

Wayne sang his version of the ballad when he closed out the 2011 MTV VMAs and then released his C4 album right after. A few days earlier, on August 24, Tunechi debuted the song's video and dropped a heavy message about the vicious cycle of domestic and sexual abuse and how it can affect a woman's self-esteem.

"When I listen to it, I get goose bumps," Weezy told MTV News' Sway in a May interview. "And I feel like the song is gonna take me somewhere that I've never been musically."

Enrique Iglesias Brings 'Dirty Dancer' To 'American Idol'

He follows Usher-charged new single with last year's megahit 'I Like It.'

On the same day he announced cities and dates for his fall arena tour, Enrique Iglesias took to the "American Idol" stage Thursday (May 12) to perform his new single, "Dirty Dancer," along with a rendition of his smash hit "I Like It," both from his 2010 album Euphoria.

Iglesias opened the performance with "Dirty Dancer" under a single spotlight, but soon the stage was lit with multiple spots and a bevy of lasers. Iglesias — dressed in blue jeans and a black leather jacket, his hair artfully disheveled — was backed by a video-screened Usher, who performed on the large wall behind him, as well as a full band and a team of backup singers. "She's a dirty, dirty dancer/ Dirty, dirty dancer/ Never ever lonely," Iglesias sang, telling the cautionary tale of a comely-yet-dangerous female (isn't that always the case?).

After a verse and a chorus, Iglesias switched gears and dove into "I Like It," his blockbuster single, which hit #4 on Billboard's Hot 100 last year. Fans flooded the "Idol" stage and jumped in unison, as Iglesias — who turned 36 earlier this week — high-fived them and bounced along. Balloons dropped from the ceiling, lending the song an even more celebratory, New Year's Eve-type feel. Iglesias waded into the throng of fans and urged them to wave their hands from side to side and let some of them fill in for him on vocal duties. As he made his way out of the group of fans, he popped a balloon with his microphone.

At the close of his performance, Iglesias — who made headlines in March when he dropped off Britney Spears' summer tour — gave props to the "Idol" enterprise. "You're amazing, 'American Idol'!" he said, as he was embraced by fans at the foot of the stage.

Enrique Iglesias Pulls Out Of Britney Spears Tour

Reports suggest Iglesias didn't want to be perceived as Brit's opening act.

Not long after Britney Spears announced that she would be hitting the road this summer on a superstar double bill with Enrique Iglesias, reports emerged that Iglesias had backed out of the deal.

Just hours after the news dropped on Tuesday, Billboard reported that Iglesias had pulled out of the tour, on which he was expected to perform as a co-headliner instead of a traditional opening act.

Later in the day, Billboard posted a follow-up suggesting that negotiations were under way that could get Enrique back onboard for the outing. Among the reported sticking points were cash, that is, whether Iglesias would get some additional box-office receipts in addition to his show guarantee, but an unnamed source said the main hang-up was "perception."

"Iglesias is a headlining artist and has been for some time, and would carry his own fully-themed production on the tour," the magazine reported. "The language in the carefully worded press release — which was withdrawn from certain outlets shortly after it was sent today — stated the pair would 'tour together' but stopped short of calling it a 'co-headlining' tour, the phrase commonly used for such superstar pairings as Billy Joel and Elton John, for example."

Given that the announcement was made on the day Britney's Femme Fatale dropped and was coordinated with her "Good Morning America" appearance, the general perception was that it was her headlining tour and that she would close the show. Unnamed sources also told the magazine that Spears would be pulling down "several times" the pay Iglesias was guaranteed.

Iglesias is slated to be on the road on his own European headlining tour until six days before the Spears tour is scheduled to kick off.

"Unfortunately, Enrique Iglesias and Britney Spears will not be touring together. Despite initial reports based on formal discussions of the possible run, Enrique will continue on his solo tour in support of his new album Euphoria," his spokesperson told Reuters. "Enrique has great respect for Britney and is a longtime fan of her work. He is very sorry for the confusion this might have caused to anyone."

Spears made the tour announcement on "GMA" on Tuesday morning, revealing that the outing is scheduled to kick off on June 17 in Sacramento and will run for 26 dates through North America, winding up on August 13 in Toronto. She told host Robin Roberts, "I'm going on tour with Enrique Iglesias in June."

Announcement regarding judges expected this week.

With names like Mariah Carey, Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger all still floating around as possible judges, multiple sources are confirming that music executive L.A. Reid will be on the panel of Simon Cowell's "X Factor" when it premieres this fall.

Sources tell The Hollywood Reporter that "it's a done deal." Simon Cowell told MTV News earlier this week that an announcement regarding the judges on the show would be made "within the week."

Reid will reportedly be let out of his contract with Universal Music early and may take a position with Sony Music, who will provide the show's winner a recording contract in addition to the $5 million cash prize. Sources confirmed Reid's departure from Universal to Billboard.

In addition to the news that Reid is joining the show, there's talk that Enrique Iglesias has been approached to host the reality singing competition, according to Deadline Hollywood. Iglesias reportedly was interested in becoming a judge rather than the host of the show, but with his own music career as red hot as ever, he may choose to stick with performing.

A rep for the show had no comment regarding the rumors when contacted by MTV News.

Reid's involvement would make sense, given what Cowell shared with us regarding what he wants in the judges on the panel. "I've got to have people on the panel with me who can judge American talent because I'm 51 years old, I'm British and we've got people as young as 14 entering this competition. So I've got to make sure I've got people sitting alongside me who genuinely know what they're talking about so that we don't lose somebody in the audition process."
