While Semisonic chose not to release a single of its breakthrough single, "Closing Time" -- which led to some fans being fooled into buying a copycat version of the song, the Minneapolis rockers have apparently decided not to make the same mistake twice.</p> The band is set to release a five-song CD of "Singing in My Sleep," Semisonic's current single from "Feeling Strangely Fine," along with four other previously unreleased tracks. Two of the songs are covers, Prince's "Erotic City," a concert favorite of the band (which has also been known to include Prince's "Take Me With You" in its live sets) and "The Air That I Breathe" from the Hollies.</p> Also included in the "Sleep" single is the demo of "Closing Time," which was recorded in bassist John Munson's basement in January 1997. "[The demo] is pretty wild," Munson told the MTV Radio Network, "it's of the first time Dan ever played the song for Jake and I down in my basement."</p> Semisonic is winding down its fall tour of the U.S.,
and has only nine dates left before it heads overseas for a European road jaunt. The band is set to play the Fillmore in San Francisco on Wednesday.</p>
