The Monterrey-based Tejano sextet Grupo Limite was led by singer Alicia Villarreal; debuting in 1996 with the LP Por Puro Amor, they became an overnight sensation, selling over a million copies of the album on the strength of the chart-topping hits "Vete," "Quiero" and "Te Aprovechas." Rompiendome El Alma soon followed, and in 1997 Grupo Limite returned with Sentimientos.
