Forty-four-year-old musician, Ned Liben, who was known to early MTV audiences as "EBN" of the '80's band RiffRaff and the group EBN/OZN, died of a heart attack on Wednesday at his Manhattan home.

EBN/OZN was perhaps best known for its 1984 hit "AEIOU and Sometimes Y." EBN , who was also a composer, producer, and engineer, worked with Michael Bolton and Phil Ramone, among others.

Liben was cooking breakfast for his two-year-old son Max at the time of the attack and was rushed to New York's St. Vincent's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Liben's spokesperson says he was in healthy condition and his attack was not due to heredity.

Liben is survived by his wife, Sallie, and their son Max. A college fund has been set up for Max.
