Ugandan-born MC, Chobo, and Norwegian Pop Producer, J Ryggs elevate the club scene to a higher ground with an infectious mix of electro-pop, dance, and hip-hop.
Fluent in four languages, Ugandan singer/rapper, Chobo, was free-stylin' with various DJs in the Norwegian club scene in 2005 when he met Joachim ("J Ryggs") Rygg, a popular local pop and hip-hop producer. At the time, J Ryggs had a huge radio hit and platinum single with the theme song he wrote for Norway's version of the "Big Brother" TV show. After creating several hip-hop tracks together, they laid the foundation for what was to become the Dual Nations Collective: The DNC.
The DNC released their self-titled debut album in 2008 and had immediate success with several TV show placements including "How I Met Your Mother," "Big Bang Theory," "Jersey Shore," "Brothers And Sisters," "Bones," "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution," "America's Next Top Model," "Taking The Stage," "Blue Mountain State," "My Super Psycho Sweet 16" and many more. Feature film credits include the upcoming "Big Momma's House 3," "Soul Surfer" and "What's Your Number," as well as teen dance movies "Center Stage 2" and "Save The Last Dance 2." Their songs have also been featured in movie trailers for box office smashes "Up," "Ice Age 3," and "How To Train Your Dragon," to name a few.
Their upbeat lyrics and infectious choruses on their sophomore album, UNSTOPPABLE (dropping February 15, 2011), is a graduation into a more sophisticated dance/pop sound on par with the major ground-breaking pop albums of today.
