Keyshia Cole Marries Basketballer Daniel 'Boobie' Gibson

Calling All Hearts singer and Cleveland Cavaliers guard have a son.

Keyshia Cole has finally found love, and this past weekend the R&B singer tied the knot with her fiancé Daniel "Boobie" Gibson. On Sunday, Gibson tweeted, "It's OFFICIAL!!!!! #Done & #TrulyBlessed.. Mr. & Mrs. Gibson. We appreciate all the Well Wishes!" Soon after, Keyshia quoted her husband's tweet, adding "...Yeees."

Cole and Gibson, who plays guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers, began dating in 2009, and the two eventually became engaged in January 2010. On March 2, 2010, the R&B star gave birth to the couple's son.

While promoting her fourth studio album, Calling All Hearts, Cole spoke to MTV News about the birth of her son, her engagement to Gibson and what effect her family had on her career.

"Having my son didn't really change much, but it definitely gave me a foundation — a stronger foundation, rather, and it made everything make sense in perspective," she said. "Love and making sure I know my focus in life, which is my child and my fiancée and my music and definitely putting God first, foremost before anything."

Keyshia, who made her name with broken-hearted songs like 2005's "I Should've Cheated," gushed about her man and the positive influence he has had on her life. "I wasn't that optimistic about finding love, and I kinda gave up on it, and then when we met, it changed everything," she said. "Obviously, I had a son. So, it's amazing, and I'm very happy and appreciative."

The exact time and place of the wedding is still unknown, but it is believed the couple traded nuptials in Las Vegas. Gibson tweeted multiple photos of himself and his bride on a helicopter with the famous Vegas lights in the background. The groom even poked fun at the weekend's end-of-the-world prophecies, sending out the message, "So the World ain't end. Not Yet.. But a brand new world for me and my family has just Begun! #Blessed Wedding Pics coming 2morro! B E Z."

Keyshia Cole Wants To Record With Nickelback

'I love them as a group,' songbird says of dream collaboration.

If everything were up to Keyshia Cole, she would rock out on her next collaboration.

The R&B songbird recently said in an interview for music-video website Vevo's "Ask: Reply" series that her dream team-up would be with Canadian rock crew Nickelback.

"I think that I would say for my dream collaboration, it would have to be Nickelback," the Calling All Hearts crooner said. Cole also added that if she were to hit the studio with the rockers, she would try to craft a collabo that seamlessly combines their musical sensibilities."I love them as a group. I truly do, and I would love, love, love, absolutely love to do a song that is very heartfelt and alternative and R&B somehow in the same light."

For Cole, who has landed in the booth with stars like Diddy and called her Kanye West-helmed debut, "I Changed My Mind," one of her favorite musical hook-ups, Nickelback is just the latest ideal feature for the California songstress. Cole told MTV News last year that she would also love to join forces with one of Detroit's finest.

"Me and Eminem doing a collaboration?" Cole wondered aloud on the set of the visual for her Nicki Minaj collabo "I Ain't Thru." "I just think he made the hardest comeback for 2010, and I support him all the way, and he's just dope, he's just dope,"

Even if a Shady or Nickelback-assisted track doesn't pan out, Cole already as some "dope" match-ups in her arsenal. The A Different Me singer broke down how her Minaj collabo went down, and lavished props on the Young Money diva.

"It was dope [in the studio]. She's very, very professional. She sat in the corner and wrote her part and then actually she wrote two raps to the song," Cole confided. "She actually did one verse and was like, 'Keyshia, I think I can do so much better.' And I was like, 'Absolutely not — it's dope and leave it the way it is.' And then I saw her again and she was like, 'Please, just let me do my thing,' and I was like, 'absolutely,' 'cause I understand where she comes from."

Keyshia Cole Eyeing Tour With Nicki Minaj

'I would love to go out with Nicki,' singer says on Ustream.

As she preps for a tour to support her latest release, Calling All Hearts, Keyshia Cole is calling up some of her soulful friends to possibly hit the road with her next year.

The "Long Way Down" songstress took to Ustream on Tuesday, when her album dropped, to chop it up with fans, and mentioned she plans to head out on a trek in the spring but hasn't yet decided on an R&B-heavy tour roster or a hip-hop/soul outing alongside Young Money diva Nicki Minaj.

"[I'll go on tour] in March. We'll probably start promoting sometime in January, probably the end of January. We're trying to figure out who I'm gonna go on the road with. I had a conversation with Monica about a week ago about it and I told her I would love for her to come, and Faith [Evans] and Melanie Fiona and also Tank — just to add some kind of other flavor in there. But if not, if we don't do that tour, then it will probably be me and Nicki Minaj," she said. "I mean, I would love to go out with Nicki, so we'll see which one happens."

The songstress also opened about her relationship with her "I Ain't Thru" collaborator, Minaj, explaining that the two can relate due to their similar hardscrabble backgrounds. Cole, who is four albums into her career, said she often doles out props to Minaj as the lyricist continues her ascent to superstardom.

"We're cool, we're buddies," she said. "I see things on TV and I just call her to say congratulations, and stuff like that. I'll send her an email. I think she's great. I got love for Nicki. To be honest, she's a young girl that comes up the same kind of way I came up. We can relate in so many different ways, I'm very proud of her.

Keyshia Cole Says Calling All Hearts Shows 'Both Sides' Of Love

'There's a couple of songs that are very shocking on the album,' Cole tells MTV News of exploring heartbreak and happiness on new LP.

After penning a slew of breakup burners reassuring lovesick girls that it's not them -- it's him, Keyshia Cole had a breakthrough. Midway through recording her new LP, Calling All Hearts, she had to change course.

The self-described "heartbroken-type, reality type of chick" stopped by the MTV Newsroom last week and told us she was all but done with love — and her studio sessions reflected that — when life threw her for a loop.

"I recorded half the album before I met my fiancé, and so I was not really that optimistic about finding true love," Cole said about meeting Cleveland Cavalier Daniel Gibson. "And then after we met, I finished the record, which created a whole 'nother outlook on life," she laughed. "So that's why I named it Calling All Hearts ... because I feel like it was both sides: heartbreak and the happiness of the heart."

K. Cole (who was once romantically linked to rapper Young Jeezy) gives her fiancé a Valentine in the form of a video for the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League heater "Long Way Down," the album's second single. Gibson makes a cameo in the stylish clip, which finds the songstress hiding behind oversize sunglasses and draped in a sidewalk-grazing dress. Cole wanders along a crowded Hollywood block clutching a suitcase, stopping to pose for photos with fans but she's obviously distracted.

As memories of a bruised relationship flash across several frames, Cole spits nails on the song's second verse: "Already had me a cheater and a mistreater/ Already been with a flosser and a smooth talker/ I've had a betrayer, somethin' like a playa/ But that ain't what I want no more."

Then Gibson and Cole meet cute standing on a stretch of the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He consoles her, offers to carry her bag. "Just when I said that I was through with love," she belts on the explosive chorus. "There he was, telling me he saw my S.O.S."

"Well, actually I didn't write that song; I wrote the bridge," Cole explained of "Long Way Down." "But I thought that it was a great perspective, as women, and as people who have been hurt before, been hurt by the person that you love the most in your life, it can really do something to your character, to your soul, the person that you become. And I felt like with a new love, sometimes we have to, not to say completely forget, but forgive and move on and allow that new love to come in your life and to make you happy and change your whole perspective on love after you've been scorned."

Cole broke into giggles when we praised the "flossers" and "the cheaters" line. "Me too, I love that part too." But it isn't all ballads on Calling All Hearts, which dropped on Tuesday (December 21).

"There's a couple of songs that are very shocking on the album, I'm sure!" she remarked. "But I think it makes it that much bigger. I feel [the album is] gonna be that much more successful because you've seen it and you know it, and you know me and you know I'm honest."

The Oakland native stretches on this disc with songs like the Nicki Minaj-assisted "I Ain't Thru," which is fight music for superwomen. And the Chuck Harmony-produced "Confused in Love" is a standout number punched up by big, soulful horns. Timbaland also steps in to douse "Last Hangover" with his signature synths.

And the Keyshia Cole die-hards will warm up to slow-burning tracks like "Tired of Doing Me" featuring Tank and "What You Do to Me." "I so love working with artists that can sing, sing, sing," Cole said of working with R&B stalwarts Tank and Faith Evans on this effort.

But she has other collaborations in mind for the next one: "I would honestly love to work with one of the girls that are huge in pop, like a Beyoncé or Lady Gaga or Fergie."

A "Telephone," part 2 with Gaga, B and K. Cole? We'd answer that call.

Keyshia Cole Would 'Love' To Work With Eminem

Nicki Minaj erupts into lyrical spasms on "Roman's Revenge," a fitful track that features Eminem, spewing murderous bars at breakneck speed. If that doesn't strike you as natural terrain for an R&B balladeer, then no one told Keyshia Cole.

The petite powerhouse recruited Minaj for her uptempo new single "I Ain't Thru," and now she told MTV News she wants a moment in the booth with Em.

"Me and Eminem doing a collaboration?" she asked aloud, her red curls grazing her eyes as she savored the possibility on the set of her "I Ain't Thru" video. "I love that idea."

The Bay Area native revealed that she's a true fan when it comes to Slim Shady — and not just because they're labelmates.

"I just think he made the hardest comeback for 2010, and I support him all the way, and he's just dope, he's just dope," K. Cole said, raising a symbolic glass to the MTV News Hip-Hop Brain Trust's pick for this year's Hottest MC in the Game.

Cole — a new mom who this year welcomed a son with Cleveland Cavaliers baller and fiancé Daniel Gibson — might be onto something. ("We'll have to make that come true," she said of teaming with Em.)

Just as pop&B superstar Rihanna wove a shared experience with relationship abuse into chart-topping accolades on Em's "Love the Way You Lie," Cole's own difficult history with a drug-addicted mother could prove to be common ground with Marshall Mathers, whose catalog is filled with raging diatribes about his mom. Keyshia's own troubled relationship with her biological mom was captured for three seasons on BET's highly rated "Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is." Cole's mother Frankie's antics regularly made for blog fodder, and the network green-lit a spinoff, "Frankie & Neffe," which followed the matriarch and the star's sister's exploits and drew jeers from Cole.

The A Different Me songstress told us that although fans look to her for the soulful love ballads, she didn't shy away from delving into dark, twisted stuff on her upcoming album, due December 21.

"You will hear a lot of love from me," she said, but, "You will also know that I've been through some things, and I'm not ashamed of reflecting, OK?" she said seriously, before breaking into giggles.

2010 is shaping up to be a year of fierce collaborations for Nicki Minaj. Not only has the hard-edged MC teamed up with musical femme fatale Rihanna twice, but she also is featured on Keyshia Cole's latest track, "I Ain't Thru," off the singer's as-yet-untitled December release.

Cole told MTV News on the Los Angeles set of the video for "I Ain't Thru" that Nicki's contribution to the track sort of came together at the last minute. "I had recorded it as one of the first songs on the album, but I never really finished it," Cole explained. "And then I called her and I was like, 'We should do a song together.' And when she came through I played it. I said, 'I did something a long time ago and I don't know if you might like it, but my manager thinks this is dope.' And I played it and she liked it."

The track is about a woman who, despite facing some adversity, isn't done just yet. And Cole maintained that having someone as equally fierce as herself on the track made for a perfect collaboration. "You know what? [Nicki's] dope," she said. "I'm excited that a new female rapper is on the scene. She's very creative. She has a lot of attitude and I just think it's dope and I definitely wanted to be down with it and I wanted her on the album."

The two have only known each other for a few months, but, according to Cole, they clicked pretty instantly when they hit the studio together. "It was dope [in the studio]. She's very, very professional. She sat in the corner and wrote her part and then actually she wrote two raps to the song," Cole confided. Eminem Joins B.o.B At BET Awards For 'Airplanes'/ 'Not Afraid' Medley

Not only did B.o.B get a chance to perform his hit "Nothin' on You" during the BET Awards pre-show, but the rookie MC also brought out Keyshia Cole for his hit "Airplanes" during the main show.

After an introduction by T.I. and Queen Latifah, during which the pair jokingly referenced T.I.'s arrest for gun charges before the 2007 BET Awards, B.o.B began his set by playing the piano.

Cole launched into the song's chorus, surprising the audience, since she's been out of the spotlight following the birth of her first child with basketball player Daniel Gibson. Sporting blond hair, a textured red skirt with a black top and matching stilettos, Cole gave "Airplanes," which originally featured Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams, a soulful spin through her trademark vocal runs.

Once Cole and B.o.B reached the chorus, Eminem joined the duo onstage for his verse on the track's remix. Then, the music ran seamlessly into Em's newest single, "Not Afraid."

The Detroit MC recently appeared on the "Late Show With David Letterman" to promote his and Jay-Z's upcoming concerts at New York's Yankee Stadium and Detroit's Comerica Park. On Sunday night (June 27), wearing a black jacket with a white tee and jeans, the MC ran through "Not Afraid" backed by a five-piece band and a gospel choir.

Rhyming with a reserved and controlled energy, Eminem ended his performance of the emotional track to a standing ovation.

R&B singer and NBA-star fiancé Daniel Gibson welcome son Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr.

Keyshia Cole and her fiancé, Cleveland Cavaliers player Daniel Gibson, have welcomed a baby boy, Daniel Hiram Gibson Jr., Us Weekly reports. He is the first child for the 28-year-old R&B singer.

Daniel was born Tuesday at 11:54 p.m., weighing 7 pounds, 3 ounces. "Both mother and baby are doing great," the singer's rep told the mag. "The proud couple would like to thank everyone for giving them privacy during this special time. Keyshia would also like to give a special thank you to her fans that have been with her since the beginning sharing in her growth as a woman and an artist."

The couple got engaged over New Year's with what her rep described as "an incredible ring. When he asked her to marry him, she was flabbergasted. ... Her mouth dropped in amazement. It's too beautiful for words."

The news of the baby's birth first broke on Miss Info's Web site, which reported that the birth took place in Cleveland, Ohio, where Gibson plays basketball.

Earlier this year, Cole spoke about starting a family and how it has affected the way she views life: "Now that I am becoming a mom, my passion for having a loving and peaceful home for my child is my #1 priority."

Keyshia Cole Confirms Pregnancy, Addresses Family Conflict

Keyshia Cole has caused quite a stir on blogs in the past few months by keeping mum while pictures of her sporting a growing baby bump appeared online.

The singer, however, confirmed on Friday (January 8) both her pregnancy by Cleveland Cavaliers basketball player Daniel Gibson and her upcoming marriage to him in a statement that also included searing remarks about her relationship with her estranged family.

Cole's mother, Frankie Lons, a popular reality-TV star on BET, recently told Atlanta radio station V100 that her daughter was already married and did so to avoid having her child be born out of wedlock. In her statement, the singer announced she no longer is in communication with her mother. Cole appeared with Frankie and her sister Neffe in the series "Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is," which was a candid account of the Oakland, California, native reconnecting with the matriarch of her family.

"To all my friends and fans, it's time that I clear the air," Cole explained. "It's not a secret that I haven't been in contact with my mother Frankie, and my sisters Neffe and Elite and I never wanted to air out our differences to the public. While I won't go into detail here I find it necessary to let you guys know I decided to stop communication with them because I was at a point in my life where I needed serenity and peace to move forward. Please know I love my family very much but it was time to let it go. You guys are a witness to a lot of what was happening from watching on air and online. Now that I am becoming a mom my passion for having a loving and peaceful home for my child is my #1 priority."

Cole didn't directly address her mother's interview in the statement, but she did identify "constant false reports" that are interfering with her life, which includes her attempting to balance planning a wedding, preparing for the birth of her child, and finishing a forthcoming album. Cole characterized the stress as being unhealthy and emphatically said there are "only a few people that can official confirm or deny anything that's happening in my life." That list was limited to herself, Gibson and the singer's publicist, along with fellow singer and close friend Monica — she concluded her statement by saying, "My girl Monica never lies."

Gucci Mane Album Preview: State Vs. Radric Davis Is Surprisingly Jovial

Guest verses from Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Cam'ron boost incarcerated MC's latest, due December 8.

The most important album of Gucci Mane's career is scheduled to surface in stores December 8. For Gucci, the title The State vs. Radric Davis took on an all-too-real relevance a couple of weeks ago when the rapper was sent to jail for 12 months.

He violated the terms of his probation, and at a time when he should be on the road promoting, Gucc is behind bars. He does have a slew of mixtape tracks holding him down in the streets and the clubs. A Gucci set is necessary for just about every hip-hop dance floor now. For the mainstream, the Zone 6 rep left a calling card: "Spotlight" with Usher. Meanwhile, "Wasted" with Plies continues its chart success.

Things couldn't be better for Gucci, career-wise. Despite the LP's grave title, The State vs. Radric Davis finds Gucci in many jovial moments.

The weightiest part of "Heavy" is the beat. Producer Shawty Red makes a track that sounds like it came out of a cartoon and was pimped with roaring bass for the booty-shake clubs. "Real heavy, real heavy," Gucci raps on the hook. "Somebody help me, my chain heavy/ My ego is toooo big/ It's getting' heavy/ My head is gettin' tooo big, it's too heavy."

Jazze Pha uses piano as the soundscape for "The Movie." The track sounds as if an old Charlie Chaplin movie was filmed in today's ATL trap.

"I'm jumping out my coupe with the missing roof," Gucci raps. He then tells the ladies out there he is not looking for any type of serious relationship. " 'Do you remember me from last month?'/ I can't remember nothing but my last blunt," he jokes.

Gucci totally changes his stance on the Zaytoven-produced "I Think I'm in Love." He raps about a woman he feels is "God's gift."

"Bad Bad Bad" has Keyshia Cole on the hook. That record takes a harsh look at love lost. "I can do bad, bad, bad all by myself," Keyshia sings on the chorus. Meanwhile Gucci pleads his case: "I'm a bad boy, but there's still so much good in me/ If you take me out the 'hood, there's still the 'hood in me."

The title says it all on the Rick Ross-featured "All About Money," as does "Sex in Crazy Places" with Bobby V, Nicki Minaj and Trina.

"Stupid Wild" features both Cam'ron and Lil Wayne. The trio stunt and once again plant their flags for being the owners of the rap game.

"Wilder than a jaguar, wildin' in a Jaguar," Weezy spews on the Bangladesh-produced track. "Please don't play with me, I'll put this pistol on your grandpa."

"Let's do the furs, his and hers," Cam comes in on the second verse. "Started gettin' on my nerves, so I hit with the 'burrr'/ ... And your wifey, we use her for her food stamps."
